Abstract
AIMS The main aim of the current study was to measure physical activity, sedentary behaviors and sleep levels across the different seasons in people with type 1 diabetes in Kuwait. METHODS A prospective cross-sectional study was conducted from August 2021 to September 2022. Physical activity and sleep metrics were measured over a 7-day period with a wrist-worn accelerometer (GENEActiv). Overall physical activity was measured as a Euclidean Norm Minus One in milli gravitational units (mg). Accelerometer metrics were compared across the seasons and between the sex. RESULTS A total of 784 people with type 1 diabetes participated. Mean daily physical activity was 25.2 mg (SD = 7.3). Seasonal differences were seen in overall physical activity (p = 0.05), inactivity (p = 0.04), light activity (p = 0.001), the intensity gradient (p = 0.001) and sleep efficiency (p = 0.02). Poorer metrics were generally seen in Spring and Summer. Overall physical activity, moderate and vigorous physical activity, and inactivity were significantly higher in males compared to females (p ≤ 0.02). Females had a longer sleeping duration (p = 0.02), and higher sleep efficiency (p = 0.04) and light physical activity (p = 0.01). Overall physical activity and the intensity gradient were negatively associated with HbA1c (both p = 0.01). CONCLUSIONS Physical activity levels were generally low and sleep poor in people with type 1 diabetes in Kuwait and these varied by sex and season. The current data are useful to target and develop interventions to improve physical activity and glycemic control.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Dyslipidemia, characterized by elevated total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), as well as decreased high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), has long been recognized as a major risk factor for age-related diseases. Recent studies have shown that exercise can be effective in mitigating dyslipidemia in older adults. The aim of this study was to systematically evaluate the effects of different exercise modalities (aerobic exercise [AE], resistance exercise [RE], aerobic+resistance exercise [AE+RE], and high-intensity interval training) on lipid profile in the elderly population, in order to identify the most effective exercise modality for maintaining lipid profile health in older adults. METHODS A comprehensive database search of PubMed, EBSCO, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Wanfang database. Eligible studies were individually assessed according to the Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool version 2, and the data were analyzed and processed using RevMan 5.4.1 analysis software. RESULTS This study identified 20 randomized controlled trials with a total of 988 subjects, of which 541 were in the exercise group and 447 in the control group. Our analysis showed that AE significantly reduced TC (P < .05), triglycerides (P < .01), and LDL-C (P < .01), while increasing HDL-C (P < .01) in the elderly population. RE significantly reduced the elevation of TC (P < .01) and LDL-C (P < .05) indices in the elderly population, while AE+RE had a significant effect on decreasing TC (P < .01) and LDL-C (P < .01) indices. CONCLUSION Our analysis indicates that AE is the most effective exercise modality for reducing dyslipidemia in older adults, compared to RE, AE+RE, and high-intensity interval training. These findings suggest that AE should be promoted as an important lifestyle intervention to improve lipid profile health in the elderly population. However, further research is needed to investigate the optimal duration, frequency, and intensity of AE required to achieve the most beneficial effects on lipid profile health in older adults.

Abstract
Our study comes from the desire to highlight certain problems faced by adulthood, as well as the awareness of practicing physical exercise in water and on land, in order to combat them. Hypothesis of the work; it is assumed that through a thorough study in terms of body composition and mental status of patients of adult age, we will identify some problems that arise during this period of life and at the same time we will be able to develop truthful programs by applying physical means. The purpose of our work consists in highlighting the main problems of normoponderality and mental status on the patients subjected to the study by applying various tests that will highlight these aspects. Objectives of the study: Identification of body composition and mental status of adult patients; Patients' awareness of the normoponderality and mental problems arising from the applied tests; Promoting physical activities on land and in water, in adulthood. The result of questioning the subjects subjected to the study on the evaluation of the mental status revealed the fact that they have a temporal, spatial orientation, an adequate memory and attention, as well as a reading-writing and copying capacity corresponding to the age, and the determination of the body composition was achieved with the help of the "Tanita" device through which it was found an average of the group of subjects of 43.13% fat, 25,80 % muscle mass, 6,83 % bone mass, and water 42,22 %.

Abstract
The study of the effects of a water-based exercise program in overweight/obese people with or without type 2 diabetes is a topic of relatively recent interest. This type of exercise presents some advantages in reducing the risk of injury or trauma, and it can be a valuable therapeutic card to play for sedentary or physically inactive patients who have chronic metabolic diseases. This work aims to make a contribution showing the effects of a water-based exercise intervention, supervised by graduates in sports sciences, in a group of overweight/obese people with or without type 2 diabetes. In total, 93 adults (age 60.59 ± 10.44 years), including 72 women (age 60.19 ± 10.97 years) and 21 men (age 61.95 ± 8.48 years), were recruited to follow a water-based exercise program (2 sessions/week, for 12 weeks) at the C.U.R.I.A.Mo. Healthy Lifestyle Institute of Perugia University. Results showed an improvement in body mass index (−0.90 ± 1.56, p = 0.001), waist circumference (−4.32 ± 6.03, p < 0.001), and systolic (−7.78 ± 13.37, p = 0.001) and diastolic (−6.30 ± 10.91, p = 0.001) blood pressure. The supervised water-based intervention was useful in managing patients with metabolic diseases who often present with other health impairments, such as musculoskeletal problems or cardiovascular or rheumatic disease that could contraindicate gym-based exercise.

Abstract
Obesity and sarcopenic obesity (SO) are characterized by excess body fat with or without low muscle mass affecting bio-psycho-social health, functioning, and subsequently quality of life in older adults. We mapped outcomes addressed in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on lifestyle interventions in community-dwelling older people with (sarcopenic) obesity. Systematic searches in Medline, Embase, Cochrane Central, CINAHL, PsycInfo, Web of Science were conducted. Two reviewers independently performed screening and extracted data on outcomes, outcome domains, assessment methods, units, and measurement time. A bubble chart and heat maps were generated to visually display results. Fifty-four RCTs (7 in SO) reporting 464 outcomes in the outcome domains: physical function (n = 42), body composition/anthropometry (n = 120), biomarkers (n = 190), physiological (n = 30), psychological (n = 47), quality of life (n = 14), pain (n = 4), sleep (n = 2), medications (n = 3), and risk of adverse health events (n = 5) were included. Heterogeneity in terms of outcome definition, assessment methods, measurement units, and measurement times was found. Psychological and quality of life domains were investigated in a minority of studies. There is almost no information beyond 52 weeks. This evidence map is the first step of a harmonization process to improve comparability of RCTs in older people with (sarcopenic) obesity and facilitate the derivation of evidence-based clinical decisions.
