Abstract
Crop pathogens reduce the yield and quality of agricultural production. The development of new fungicides will help to sustain this protection and overcome fungicide resistance. Sydnone is a kind of mesoionic, which has a wide range of biological activities. The application of sydnones in agriculture is less, and the study of these compounds will lead to the discovery of new active compounds. In this study, we designed and synthesized a series of noval sydnone mesoionic derivatives by active substructure splicing. All compounds were characterized using 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Among them, trifluoromethyl compound D17 showed good bioactivity against Pseudoperonospora cubensis (EC50 = 49 mg L-1) in vivo, the activity was similar to that of the control Kresoxim-methyl (EC50 = 44 mg L-1). However, the target of these compounds should not only be tyrosinase, and the mode of action needs to be further studied. In addition, the structure-activity relationship indicated that the trifluoromethyl group was more beneficial for antifungal activity. This is the first report that fluorine-containing N(3)-benzyl sydnone compounds have good fungicidal activity. These results will provide a basis for the development of sydnone mesoionic as new lead fungicidal agents.

Abstract
Two new N-{[4-(3-aryl-4-sydnonyl-idene-amino)-5-sulfanyl-idene-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl]meth-yl}benzamides have been prepared by acid-promoted condensation reactions between 3-aryl-4-formyl-sydnones and N-[(4-amino-5-sulfanyl-idene-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)meth-yl]benzamide, and both have been crystallized as ethanol monosolvates. N-{[4-(3-Phenyl-4-sydnonyl-idene-amino)-5-sulfanyl-idene-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl]meth-yl}benzamide ethanol monosolvate, C19H15N7O3S·C2H6O (I), and N-({4-[3-(4-methyl-phen-yl)-4-sydnonyl-idene-amino]-5-sulfanyl-idene-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl}meth-yl)benzamide ethanol monosolvate, C20H17N7O3S·C2H6O (II), differ only in the presence of a methyl group for (II) instead of a hydrogen atom for (I), and in both of them the ethanol component is disordered over two sets of atomic sites having occupancies of 0.836 (6) and 0.164 (6) in (I), and 0.906 (6) and 0.094 (6) in (II). Combinations of O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into cyclic, centrosymmetric four-mol-ecule aggregates. Comparisons are made with the structures of some related compounds.

Abstract
Background Sydnone is a heterocycle that exhibits remarkable pharmacological activities, including antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic and antioxidant activities. Thiosemicarbazones are of compounds that contain the –NHCSNHN=C< linkage group and are considerable interest because they exhibit important chemical properties and potentially beneficial biological activities. Similarly, thiosemicarbazones having carbohydrate moieties also exhibit various significant biological activities. Results The compounds of 3-formyl-4-phenylsydnones were obtained by Vilsmeyer-Haack’s formylation reaction and were transformed into thiosemicarbazones by condensation reaction with N-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl)thiosemicarbazide. Reaction were performed in the presence glacial acetic acid as catalyst using microwave-assisted heating method. Reaction yields were 43‒85 %. The antimicrobial activities of these thiosemicarbazones were screened in vitro by using agar well diffusion and MIC methods. Among these thiosemicarbazones, compounds 4k, 4l, 4m and 4n were more active against all tested bacterial strains, especially against S. epidermidis, B. subtilis and E. coli. The MIC values in these cases are 0.156, 0.156 and 0.313 μg/mL, respectively. All compounds showed weak to moderate antifungal activity against C. albicans and A. niger than nystatin (MIC = 0.156‒0.625 μg/mL vs. MIC = 0.078 μg/mL of nystatin), and thiosemicarbazones 4l, 4m and 4n exhibited significant activity with MIC = 0.156 μg/mL. These compounds also had good antifungal activity against F. oxysporum similarly to nystatin (MIC = 0.156 μg/mL). Among the tested compounds having halogen group 4k, 4l, 4m and 4n showed highest activity against three strains of fungal organisms. Conclusions In summary, we have developed a clean and efficient methodology for the synthesis of novel thiosemicarbazone derivatives bearing sydnone ring and d-glucose moiety; the heterocyclic and monosaccharide system being connected via ‒NH‒C(=S)NH‒N=C< linker using molecular modification approach. The methodology could be further extended and used for the synthesis of other thiosemicarbazones of biological importance. 4-Formyl-3-arylsydnone N-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl)thiosemicarbazones have been synthesized under microwave-assisted heating conditions. Almost all obtained compounds showed remarkable activities against the tested microorganisms. Among the tested compounds having halogen group 4k, 4l, 4m and 4n showed highest activity against all tested strains of bacterial and fungal organisms.

Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C11H11N5O2S·0.5C4H8O2, contains one 3-(p-tolyl)sydnone 4-thiosemicarbazone molecule and a half molecule of 1,4-dioxane, which lies abount an inversion centre. The sydnone ring is almost planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.002 (1) Å, and forms a dihedral angle of 46.31 (5)° with the benzene ring. In the crystal, the two components are linked into a tape along [01-1] by N—H⋯O and N—H⋯S hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is further stabilized by C—H⋯O and C—H⋯π interactions, forming a three-dimensional network.

Abstract
In the title compound (systematic name: 4-bromoacetyl-1,2,3-oxadiazol-3-ylium-5-olate), C10H7BrN2O3, the 1,2,3-oxadiazole ring and bromoacetyl group are essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.010 (4) and 0.013 (3) Å respectively] and form dihedral angles of 59.31 (19) and 67.96 (11)°, respectively, with the phenyl ring. The 1,2,3-oxadiazole ring is twisted slightly from the mean plane of the bromoacetyl group, forming a dihedral angle of 9.16 (24)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by pairs of weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into inversion dimers with R22(12) ring motifs. The dimers are further connected by weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into an infinite tape parallel to the b axis. In addition, π–π stacking interactions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.6569 (19) Å] and short intermolecular contacts [O⋯O = 2.827 (3) and C⋯C = 3.088 (5) Å] are observed.

Abstract
The title compound, C15H16N6O2S, exists in a trans configuration with respect to the acyclic N=C bond. The 1,2,3-oxadiazol-3-ium ring makes dihedral angles of 10.59 (8) and 73.94 (8)°, respectively, with the 1,2,4-triazole and benzene rings. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular C—H⋯S hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, molecules are linked into inversion dimers by pairs of intermolecular N—H⋯S hydrogen bonds, generating eight-membered R22(8) ring motifs. The dimers are further connected by C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a sheet parallel to the bc plane. The ethyl group is disordered over two sets of sites with occupancies of 0.744 (7) and 0.256 (7).

Abstract
In the crystal, C20H15N7O6S, the dihedral angle between the oxadiazole and triazine rings is 86.94 (7)°. The oxadiazole ring makes a dihedral angle of 52.96 (8)° with the phenyl ring, while the triazine ring makes a dihedral angle of 82.08 (7)° with the benzene ring. In the structure, molecules are linked by a pair of N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming an inversion dimer. The dimers are further stacked along the a axis via N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds. Weak intermolecular C—H⋯O interactions are also observed.

Abstract
The title compound, C19H15ClN6O3S, exists in trans and cis configurations with respect to the acyclic C=N bonds. The 3,6-dihydro-2H-1,3,4-thiadiazine ring adopts a half-boat conformation. The sydnone ring is approximately planar [maximum deviation = 0.013 (1) Å] and forms dihedral angles of 34.76 (4) and 48.67 (4)° with the benzene rings. An intramolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bond stabilizes the molecular structure and forms an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal packing, intermolecular N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds link centrosymmetrically related molecules into dimers, generating R22(8) ring motifs. The dimers are then linked into a three-dimensional network by intermolecular C—H⋯O and C—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, and by C—H⋯π interactions. Further stabilization is provided by π–π interactions involving the sydnone rings, with centroid–centroid separations of 3.4198 (5) Å.

Abstract
In the title syndone (1,2,3-oxadiazol-3-ylium-5-olate) compound, C21H16ClN5O4S, the dihedral angle between the benzene and oxadiazole rings is 55.62 (11)° and that between the triazine and the chloro-substituted phenyl rings is 82.45 (9)°. There is an intramolecular C—H⋯S hydrogen bond, which generates an S(5) ring motif. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R22(20) loops. The dimers are connected by C—H⋯N and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract
In the title compound, C19H16N6O3S, the 3,6-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazine ring adopts a twist-boat conformation. The dihedral angle between the methoxy-substituted benzene ring and the oxadiazole ring is 71.91 (7)°. In the crystal structure, centrosymmetrically related molecules are linked into dimers via pairs of intermolecular N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds, generating R22(8) ring motifs. There is an intramolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bond which generates an S(6) ring motif.

Abstract
In the title compound, C20H17N7O2S (systematic name: 3-(4-methylphenyl)-4-{3-[(phenylamino)methyl]-7H-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazin-6-yl}-1,2,3-oxadiazol-3-ium-5-olate), the 3,6-dihydro-2H-1,3,4-thiadiazine ring adopts a half-boat conformation. The oxadiazol-3-ium ring makes dihedral angles of 57.99 (6) and 54.48 (6)° with the phenyl and benzene rings, respectively, while the 1,2,4-triazole ring forms corresponding angles of 37.35 (6) and 73.89 (6)°. The dihedral angle between the oxadiazol-3-ium and 1,2,4-triazole rings is 21.12 (6)°. In the crystal, the molecules are linked via intermolecular N—H⋯O and C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds into a layer parallel to the (100) plane. The crystal structure is further consolidated by C—H⋯π interactions. An intramolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bond is also observed, which generates an S(6) ring motif.

Abstract
In the title compound [systematic name: 4-(2,3-dibromo-3-phenylpropanoyl)-3-phenyl-1,2,3-oxadiazol-3-ylium-5-olate], C17H12Br2N2O3, the oxadiazole ring is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.001 (3) Å. The central oxadiazole ring makes dihedral angles of 73.3 (2) and 29.0 (2)° with the adjacent and remote phenyl rings, respectively. In the crystal, adjacent molecules are connected by C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a supramolecular chain along the c axis. There is an intramolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif.

In the title sydnone compound, C20H18ClN7O4S, the oxadiazole, triazole, chloro-substituted and methoxy-substituted phenyl rings are essentially planar, with maximum deviations of 0.007 (3), 0.009 (2), 0.017 (2) and 0.002 (3) Å, respectively. The dihedral angles between the chloro-substituted phenyl ring and the triazole ring, the triazole ring and the oxadiazole ring, and the oxadiazole ring and the methoxy-substituted phenyl ring are 80.02 (13), 85.68 (14) and 51.62 (14)°, respectively. In the crystal, molecules are connected via intermolecular N—H⋯N, N—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming sheets lying parallel to the ac plane.

In the crystal, adjacent molecules are interconnected by intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into sheets lying parallel to (100). Weak intermolecular π–π interactions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.5812 (8) Å] further stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract
IN THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: 2,3-dibromo-3-(2-bromo-phen-yl)-1-(5-oxido-3-phenyl-1,2,3-oxadiazol-3-ium-4-yl)propan-1-one], C(17)H(11)Br(3)N(2)O(3), the oxadiazole ring is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.003 (1) Å. The -CHBr-CHBr- chain and bromo-phenyl ring are disordered over two sets of sites with a refined occupany ratio of 0.756 (5):0.244 (5). The central oxadiazole ring makes dihedral angles of 54.07 (11) and 13.76 (18)° with the attached phenyl and the major component of the bromo-substituted benzene rings, respectively. The dihedral angle between the major and minor components of the bromo-phenyl rings is 13.4 (5)°. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are connected by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming [010] ribbons.

Abstract
In the title compound, C17H11Br3N2O3, the whole molecule is disordered over two positions with a refined occupancy ratio of 0.770 (5):0.230 (5). In the major component, the 1,2,3-oxadiazolidine ring is essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.017 (6) Å] and makes dihedral angles of 22.5 (3) and 70.2 (3)° with the 4-bromophenyl and phenyl rings, respectively. In the minor component, the corresponding values are 18.9 (11) and 84.9 (12)°. In the crystal, intermolecular C—H⋯Br hydrogen bonds link the molecules into ribbons along [010]. There is a short O⋯N contact [2.83 (3) Å] in the minor component. In the major component, the molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bond, which forms an S(6) ring motif.

In the molecular structure, a C—H⋯O hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring and a C—H⋯π interaction involving the phenyl ring is observed. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked into a ribbon-like structure along the a axis by C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

In the crystal structure, adjacent molecules are interconnected into two-molecule-thick arrays parallel to (100) via C—H⋯O and C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds. A short S⋯O contact [2.9512 (18) Å] is observed.

The 3,6-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazine ring adopts a twist-boat conformation. The essentially planar 1,2,3-oxadiazole and 1,2,4-triazole rings [maximum deviations of 0.006 (1) and 0.008 (1) Å, respectively] are inclined to one another at interplanar angle of 44.11 (4)°. The naphthalene unit forms an interplanar angle of 66.40 (4)° with the 1,2,4-triazole ring. In the crystal packing, pairs of intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link adjacent molecules into dimers incorporating R22(12) ring motifs. Further stabilization is provided by weak C—H⋯π interactions.

THE TITLE SYDNONE DERIVATIVE [SYSTEMATIC NAME: 2-bromo-1-(5-oxido-3-phenyl-1,2,3-oxadiazo-lium-4-yl)-3-phenyl-prop-2-en-1-one], C(17)H(11)BrN(2)O(3), exists in a Z configuration with respect to the acyclic C=C bond. An intra-molecular C-H⋯Br hydrogen bond generates a six-membered ring, producing an S(6) ring motif. The 1,2,3-oxadiazole ring in the sydnone unit is essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.011 (2) Å] and forms dihedral angles of 55.39 (13) and 57.12 (12)° with the two benzene rings. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into two-mol-ecule-thick arrays parallel to the bc plane. The crystal structure also features a short inter-molecular N⋯C contacts [3.030 (3) Å] as well as C-H⋯π and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.3798 (11) and 3.2403 (12) Å].
