Abstract
Magnetic resonance urography (MRU) is an important MRI application that provides noninvasive comprehensive morphological and functional evaluation of the kidneys and urinary tract. It can be used to assess congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract, which often present as urinary tract dilation. In children, MRU allows for high tissue contrast and high spatial resolution without requiring ionizing radiation. Magnetic resonance urography requires patient preparation in the form of pre-examination intravenous hydration, placement of a urinary catheter, and the administration of diuretics at the time of the exam. The imaging protocol is based on T2-weighted images for anatomical assessment and dynamic post-contrast images for functional evaluation. These images are then used to generate quantitative and graphic results including contrast transit and excretion time as well as to calculate differential renal function. This review focuses on a simple approach to pediatric MRU acquisition and interpretation based on clinical cases and the authors' experience.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To assess the usefulness of magnetic resonance urography (MRU) for the visualization of nondilated renal pelvises and ureters in dogs and to compare our findings for MRU versus CT urography (CTU). ANIMALS 9 healthy Beagles. PROCEDURES Dogs underwent CTU, static-fluid MRU, and excretory MRU, with ≥ 7 days between procedures. Contrast medium was administered IV during CTU and excretory MRU, whereas urine in the urinary tract was an intrinsic contrast medium for static-fluid MRU. For each procedure, furosemide (1 mg/kg, IV) was administered, and reconstructed dorsal plane images were acquired 3 minutes (n = 2) and 7 minutes (2) later. Images were scored for visualization of those structures and for image quality, diameters of renal pelvises and ureters were measured, and results were compared across imaging techniques. RESULTS Excretory MRU and CTU allowed good visualization of the renal pelvises and ureters, whereas static-fluid MRU provided lower visualization of the ureters. Distention of the renal pelvises and ureters was good in excretory MRU and CTU. Distention of the ureters in static-fluid MRU was insufficient compared with that in CTU and excretory MRU. Distinct artifacts were not observed in CTU and excretory MRU images. Static-fluid MRU images had several mild motion artifacts. CLINICAL RELEVANCE Our findings indicated that excretory MRU with furosemide administration was useful for visualizing nondilated renal pelvises and ureters of dogs in the present study. When performing MRU for the evaluation of dogs without urinary tract dilation, excretory MRU may be more suitable than static-fluid MRU.

Abstract
Endometriosis is a condition in which there is an ectopic growth of endometrial tissue. Sciatic endometriosis, otherwise known as catamenial sciatica, is a rare but exceedingly significant presentation of endometriosis. Symptoms include cyclic sciatic pain that peaks during the menstrual period; additionally, paresthesia, paresis, and areflexia may occur with this condition. Sciatic endometriosis can be presumptively diagnosed in response to empiric treatment (e.g. gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogs) or imaging studies, but a definitive diagnosis of sciatic endometriosis may occur from examining tissue obtained during surgery. Surgical removal of endometriosis from the sciatic nerve root can potentially eliminate symptoms while maintaining normal reproductive function, though poses particular surgical risks. Familiarity with this rare condition is paramount to making this diagnosis and the initiation of earlier treatment.

Abstract
AIM To report the initial experiences with functional cine magnetic resonance urography (cine MRU) and assess its usefulness as a novel postoperative evaluation method of ileal ureter substitution. MATERIALS AND METHODS The medical records of 17 patients from who underwent cine MRU during June 2010 to December 2019 during their follow-up after ileal ureter substitution were collected. The cine MRU videos of reconstructive urinary tract were observed, and the luminal diameter, contraction ratio, peristaltic waves, and ureteral jets were measured. RESULTS Seventeen patients underwent cine MRU after ileal ureter substitution during their follow-up. Based on their cine MRU videos assessing the morphology and the peristaltic motility of the reconstructive urinary tract, there was resolution of preoperative hydronephrosis, which matched their ameliorative renal function. Clearly, peristaltic motility of the ileal graft was observed in 14 patients with obvious peristaltic waves and ureteral jets. CONCLUSION This study is the first to assess the clinical utility of functional cine MRU during the patient follow-up after ileal ureter substitution. Cine MRU is a radiation-free, non-invasive imaging method that can clearly show the morphology and the peristaltic motility of the ileal graft. Therefore, cine MRU, as a novel technique, will be extremely useful in the postoperative evaluation of patients after ileal ureter substitution.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To develop technical guidelines for magnetic resonance imaging aimed at characterising renal masses (multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging, mpMRI) and at imaging the bladder and upper urinary tract (magnetic resonance urography, MRU). METHODS The French Society of Genitourinary Imaging organised a Delphi consensus conference with a two-round Delphi survey followed by a face-to-face meeting. Two separate questionnaires were issued for renal mpMRI and for MRU. Consensus was strictly defined using a priori criteria. RESULTS Forty-two expert uroradiologists completed both survey rounds with no attrition between the rounds. Fifty-six of 84 (67%) statements of the mpMRI questionnaire and 44/71 (62%) statements of the MRU questionnaire reached final consensus. For mpMRI, there was consensus that no injection of furosemide was needed and that the imaging protocol should include T2-weighted imaging, dual chemical shift imaging, diffusion-weighted imaging (use of multiple b-values; maximal b-value, 1000 s/mm2) and fat-saturated single-bolus multiphase (unenhanced, corticomedullary, nephrographic) contrast-enhanced imaging; late imaging (more than 10 min after injection) was judged optional. For MRU, the patients should void their bladder before the examination. The protocol must include T2-weighted imaging, anatomical fast T1/T2-weighted imaging, diffusion-weighted imaging (use of multiple b-values; maximal b-value, 1000 s/mm2) and fat-saturated single-bolus multiphase (unenhanced, corticomedullary, nephrographic, excretory) contrast-enhanced imaging. An intravenous injection of furosemide is mandatory before the injection of contrast medium. Heavily T2-weighted cholangiopancreatography-like imaging was judged optional. CONCLUSION This expert-based consensus conference provides recommendations to standardise magnetic resonance imaging of kidneys, ureter and bladder. KEY POINTS • Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) aims at characterising renal masses; magnetic resonance urography (MRU) aims at imaging the urinary bladder and the collecting systems. • For mpMRI, no injection of furosemide is needed. • For MRU, an intravenous injection of furosemide is mandatory before the injection of contrast medium; heavily T2-weighted cholangiopancreatography-like imaging is optional.

Abstract
Endometriosis (EN) is a common gynecological condition characterized by the presence of functional endometrium located outside the uterine cavity. Sciatic nerve (SN) is rarely affected by EN. Magnetic resonance imaging allows a direct visualization of the spinal and SN, and it is the modality of choice for the study of SN involvement in extrapelvic EN. We report a case of an endometrioma located in the right SN with a systematic review of the literature.

Abstract
Urinary tract infection (UTI) is among the most common of bacterial infections. Imaging studies are only required in cases of complicated UTIs. Ultrasound remains the first-line imaging method; however, CT is the gold standard for evaluation of UTIs. MR imaging's improved contrast resolution and absence of ionizing radiation may recommend its use for assessment of lower UTIs. Furthermore, MR imaging performs with diagnostic accuracy at least similar to CT in complicated UTIs, except for the identification of calculi and emphysematous pyelonephritis. In this article, the role of MR imaging for the evaluation of infectious and inflammatory disease processes of the urinary tract is reviewed.

Abstract
PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to evaluate the image quality and radiation dose in computed tomography urography (CTU) images acquired with a low kilovoltage peak (kVp) in combination with an adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction (ASiR) algorithm. METHODS A total of 45 subjects (18 women, 27 men) who underwent CTU with kV assist software for automatic selection of the optimal kVp were included and divided into two groups (A and B) based on the kVp and image reconstruction algorithm: group A consisted of patients who underwent CTU with a 80 or 100 kVp and whose images were reconstructed with the 50% ASiR algorithm (n=32); group B consisted of patients who underwent CTU with a 120 kVp and whose images were reconstructed with the filtered back projection (FBP) algorithm (n=13). The images were separately reconstructed with volume rendering (VR) and maximum intensity projection (MIP). Finally, the image quality was evaluated using an image score, CT attenuation, image noise, the contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) of the renal pelvis-to-abdominal visceral fat and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the renal pelvis. The radiation dose was assessed using volume CT dose index (CTDIvol), dose-length product (DLP) and effective dose (ED). RESULTS For groups A and B, the subjective image scores for the VR reconstruction images were 3.9±0.4 and 3.8±0.4, respectively, while those for the MIP reconstruction images were 3.8±0.4 and 3.6±0.6, respectively. No significant difference was found (p>0.05) between the two groups' image scores for either the VR or MIP reconstruction images. Additionally, the inter-reviewer image scores did not significantly differ (p>0.05). The mean attenuation of the bilateral renal pelvis in group A was significantly higher than that in group B (271.4±57.6 vs. 221.8±35.3 HU, p<0.05), whereas the image noise in group A was significantly lower than that in group B (7.9±2.1 vs. 10.5±2.3 HU, p<0.05). The CNR and SNR in group A were both significantly higher than those in group B (53.61±24.74 vs. 32.30±6.52 for CNR; 38.13±19.86 vs. 21.76±4.85 for SNR; all p<0.05). The CTDIvol, DLP and ED in group A were significantly lower than those in group B (9.26±2.77 vs. 16.19±5.60 mGy for CTDIvol; 368.86±119.38 vs. 674.38±239.37 mGy×cm-1 for DLP; 5.53±1.79 vs. 10.12±3.59 mSv for ED; all p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS The low kVp CTU images with 50% ASiR reconstruction exhibit sufficient image quality and facilitate up to a 44% radiation dose reduction.
