Abstract
The epitope vaccine against four virulence proteins (FVpE) from Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) was expressed and purified. Western blot and Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISA) were used to identify and investigate the immunoreactivity of FVpE protein. The immune-sensing platform based on titanium carbide/colloidal gold nanoparticles@carbon nanofiber/ionic liquid composites electrode was constructed for immobilizing FVpE. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was used to study the electrochemical properties of the modified electrodes. The relevant influenced factors were optimized including pH value, antigen concentration, and incubating time. The prepared H. pylori label-free electrochemical immunosensor was used for antibody detection using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). Under the optimal experimental conditions, the linear ranges of H. pylori antibodies, including anti-H. pylori, cytotoxin-associated gene A (CagA), vacuolating cytotoxin-associated gene A (VacA), and urease A (UreA), were all 0.1-5 ng mL-1, except urease B (UreB, 0.1-4.5 ng mL-1). The selectivity study showed that other antibodies had little influence on the detection of H. pylori antibodies. The immunosensor could be used to detect serum samples, and the recoveries were in the range of 68.5%-100.5%.

Development of bismuth sulfide nanorods and polyamidoamine dendrimer on reduced graphene oxide as electrode nanomaterials for electrochemical determination of salbutamol. Sci Rep 2023; 13:8902. Abstract
Dendrimers, a new class of nanomaterials, are receiving more attention in various fields. In this study, by combining the advantages of polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer with reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and bismuth sulfide (Bi2S3), we came to design a new composite and its application for electrochemical sensors was investigated for the first time. As a new approach in the preparation of the composite, PAMAM was used for the first time to increase the surface of Bi2S3 with rGO, which ultimately led to an increase in the active surface area of the sensor (5 times compared to the bare electrode). For the first time, we used the sonochemical method for interaction between PAMAM with Bi2S3 and rGO, which was a simpler and faster method to prepare the composite. The purposeful design of the composite was done by using the experimental design method to obtain the optimum composition of components. The new nanocomposite was successfully applied for simple and sensitive electrochemical sensing of salbutamol for controlling the health of food. Salbutamol is used as a prohibited additive in animal and poultry feed. The sensor has good sensitivity (35 times increase compared to the bare electrode) and a low detection limit (1.62 nmol/L). Moreover, it has acceptable selectivity, good repeatability (1.52-3.50%), good reproducibility (1.88%), and satisfactory accuracy (recoveries: 84.6-97.8%). An outstanding feature of the sensor is its broad linear range (5.00-6.00 × 102 nmol/L). This sensor is well suited for the determination of salbutamol in milk, sausage, and livestock and poultry feed samples.

Abstract
β2-agonists are a group of synthetic phenylethanolamine compounds which are traditionally used for treating bronchospasm. These compounds can also increase skeletal muscle mass and decrease body fat. The illegal use of β2-agonists in food-producing animals results in residue of β2-agonists in edible tissues and causes adverse health effects in humans. Thus, the detection of β2-agonists at trace level in complex sample matrices is of great importance for monitoring the abuse of β2-agonists. Many methods have been developed to detect β2-agonists. Among them, a variety of antigen–antibody interaction-based techniques have been established to detect β2-agonists in various samples, including animal feed, urine, serum, milk, tissues and hair. In this review, we summarized current achievement in the extraction of β2-agonists from testing samples and detection of β2-agonists using immunological techniques. Future perspectives were briefly discussed.

Abstract
Monitoring of low-level analytes are typical examples for analytical challenges. Salbutamol (SAL), a phenol-β2-agonist, has a very low residual content in the environment. Here, we present an ultrasensitive complete antigen-bridged PCR assay for detecting salbutamol (SAL). These DNA probes modified SAL complete antigens target recognition SAL antibodies and agglutinate synthetic DNA conjugates, thus enabling ligation of DNA probes to form a full-length DNA amplicon that contained a recognition site for cleavage endonuclease and subsequent quantification by qPCR. Moreover, SAL antibodies were modified with magnetic beads which were used to reduce the background noise and sample matrix effect, and the DNA signals were isothermally amplified by strand displacement amplification technology. Some key parameters which influence assay performance were optimized: the length of the bridge oligonucleotide, the concentration of immunomagnetic beads, SAL probes, and initiation chain, etc. Under the optimum conditions, the signal amplification of proposed Immuno-PCR assay for the detection of SAL was exponential, resulting in high potential sensitivity(~1 fg/mL) and a broad detection dynamic range (> 105 fold). Using this proposed method, we detected SAL in spiked tap water and urine samples with acceptable recoveries ranging from 88.1 to 103.3%. Theoretically, the method developed here has broad applicability and practical utility in immunoassays of a wide variety of analytes.

Abstract
The sensing properties of immunosensors are determined not only by the amount of immobilized antibodies but also by the number of effective antigen-binding sites of the immobilized antibody. Protein A (PA) exhibits a high degree of affinity with the Fc part of IgG antibody to feasibly produce oriented antibody immobilization. This work proposes a simple method to control the PA surface density on gold nanostructure (AuNS)-deposited screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCEs) by mixing concentration-varied PA and bovine serum albumin (BSA), and to explore the effect of PA density on the affinity attachment of anti-salbutamol (SAL) antibodies by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. A concentration of 100 μg/mL PA and 100 μg/mL BSA can obtain a saturated coverage on the 3-mercaptoproponic acid (MPA)/AuNS/SPCEs and exhibit a 50% PA density to adsorb the amount of anti-SAL, more than other concentration-varied PA/BSA-modified electrodes. Compared with the randomly immobilized anti-SAL/MPA/AuNS/SPCEs and the anti-SAL/PA(100 μg/mL):BSA(0 μg/mL)/MPA/AuNS/SPCE, the anti-SAL/PA(100 μg/mL): BSA(100 μg/mL)/MPA/AuNS/SPCE-based immunosensors have better sensing properties for SAL detection, with an extremely low detection limit of 0.2 fg/mL and high reproducibility (<2.5% relative standard deviation). The mixture of PA(100 μg/mL):BSA(100 μg/mL) for the modification of AuNS/SPCEs has great promise for forming an optimal protein layer for the oriented adsorption of IgG antibodies to construct ultrasensitive SAL immunosensors.

Abstract
The authors describe a nanocomposite that was obtained by in-situ deposition of CdS nanocrystals on mesoporous silica nanospheres (MSNs), and its use in an electrochemical immunoassay of human immunoglobulin G (HIgG). The MCN/CdS nanocomposite was covalently modified with the antibodies against HIgG and then employed in a voltammetric immunoassay at antibody-functionalized magnetic beads. Through sandwich immunoreaction, the MCN/CdS nanoprobes are quantitatively captured onto the magnetic beads where numerous Cd(II) ions are released in an acidic solution. The Cd(II) can be detected by anodic stripping voltammetry at a typical working potential of -0.78 V (vs. Ag/AgCl). In combination with the high loading of CdS on MSNs, the use of the stripping voltammetric analysis renders the method high sensitivity. A wide linear range varying from 0.01 to 100 ng mL-1 is obtained for HIgG detection with a lower detection limit at 2.9 pg mL-1. In addition, the preparation of the nanoprobe is inexpensive. The magnetic bead-based assay does not require complex manipulations. Therefore, this method is deemed to possess a wide scope in that it may be applied to other immunoassays. Abstract
A sensitive label-free amperometric electrochemical immunosensor for detection of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) was proposed in this work. The nanocomposite of halloysite nanotubes with polypyrrole shell and palladium nanoparticles (HNTs@PPy-Pd) was used as a novel signal label. The HNTs with adequate hydroxyl groups are economically available raw materials. PPy, as an electrically conducting polymer material, can be absorbed to the surface of HNTs by in situ oxidative polymerization of the pyrrole monomer and form a shell on the HNTs. The shell of PPy could not only improve the conductivity of the nanocomposite but also absorb large amounts of Pd nanoparticles (NPs). The Pd NPs with high electrocatalytic activity toward the reduction of H2O2 and the HNTs@PPy-Pd nanocomposite as the analytical signal label could improve the sensitivity of the immunosensor. Under optimal conditions, the immunosensor showed a low detection limit (0.03 pg/mL) and a wide linear range (0.0001 to 25 ng/mL) of PSA. Moreover, its merits such as good selectivity, acceptable reproducibility, and stability indicate that the fabricated immunosensor has a promising application potential in clinical diagnosis. Graphical Abstract A new label-free amperometric electrochemical immunosensor based on HNTs@PPy-Pd nanocomposite for quantitative detection of PSA.

Abstract
In this work, a simple and sensitive electrochemical method sensor was developed to determine salbutamol based on magnetic NiFe2O4nanoparticles modified glassy carbon electrode. It was found the anodic peak current of salbutamol was linear with the concentration of salbutamol from 2.0 μM to 60 μM with a detection limit of 1.0 μM (S/N=3). The developed method was successfully applied to determine salbutamol content in pork samples with satisfactory results.

Abstract
The simultaneous determination of different analytes based on multiplexed immunosensors is attractive and promising in bioassays and environmental analysis. In this paper, a novel ultrasensitive multiplexed immunoassay method was developed for the determination of endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs) based on disposable screen-printed carbon electrodes. Different capture antibodies were separately immobilized on the carbon electrodes to form an immunosensor array. Platinum nanoparticle-functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles (Pt@SBA-15) was used as catalytic labels of secondary antibodies. Due to the catalytic activities of the platinum nanoparticles and the large surface area of SBA-15, a strong electrical response towards the analytical antigens was achieved. The multiplexed immunoassay array enables the simultaneous determination of different analytes. Using diethylstilbestrol and estradiol as model analytes, this multiplexed immunoassay method showed wide linear ranges with detection limits down to 0.28 and 1.2 pg mL-1 for diethylstilbestrol and estradiol, respectively. The proposed sensing strategy enriches electrochemical immunoassays and has a promising application in bioassays and environmental analysis.
