Abstract
BACKGROUND In recent years, miRNAs have emerged as potentially valuable tumor markers, and their sensitive and accurate detection is crucial for early screening and diagnosis of tumors. However, the analysis of miRNAs faces significant challenges due to their short sequence, susceptibility to degradation, high similarity, low expression level in cells, and stringent requirements for in vitro research environments. Therefore, the development of sensitive and efficient new methods for the detection of tumor markers is crucial for the early intervention of related tumors. RESULTS An ultrasensitive electrochemical/colorimetric dual-mode self-powered biosensor platform is established to detect microRNA-21 (miR-21) via a multi-signal amplification strategy. Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and VS4 nanosheets self-assembled 3D nanorods (VS4-Ns-Nrs) are prepared for constructing a superior performance enzyme biofuel cell (EBFC). The double-signal amplification strategy of Y-shaped DNA nanostructure and catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA) is adopted to further improve enhance the strength and specificity of the output signal. In addition, a capacitor is matched with EBFC to generate an instantaneous current that is amplified several times, and the output detection signal is improved once more. At the same time, electrochemical and colorimetric methods are used for dual-mode strategy to achieve the accuracy of detection. The linear range of detection is from 0.001 pg/mL to 1000 pg/mL, with a relatively low limit of detection (LOD) of 0.16 fg/mL (S/N = 3). SIGNIFICANCE The established method enables accurate and sensitive detection of markers in patients with lung cancer, providing technical support and data reference for precise identification. It is anticipated to offer a sensitive and practical new technology and approach for early diagnosis, clinical treatment, and drug screening of cancer and other related major diseases.

Abstract
In this paper, we have developed a simple and efficient sulfur-amine chemistry strategy to prepare a three-dimensional (3D) porous Ti3C2Tx composite with large amounts of N and S terminal groups. The well-designed 3D macroporous architecture presents enlarged interlayer spacing, large specific surface area, and unique porous structure, which successfully solves the re-stacking issue of MXene during storage and electrode fabrication. It is the amount of concentrated hydrochloric acid added to the S-EDA (ethylenediamine)/MXene colloidal suspension that is critical to the formation of 3D morphology. In addition, N and S terminals on MXene could improve the adsorption ability of K+. Owing to the synergistic effect of the structure design and terminal modification, the N, S codoped three-dimensional porous Ti3C2Tx (3D-NSPM) material shows a high surface capacitive contribution and rapid diffusion kinetics for K+ and Na+. As a result, the as-prepared 3D-NSPM delivers high reversible capacity (237 and 273 mAh g-1 at 0.1 A g-1 for PIBs and SIBs, respectively), superb cycling stability (84.9% capacity retention after 10,000 cycles at 1 A g-1 in PIBs and 74.0% capacity retention after 2200 cycles at 1 A g-1 in SIBs), and excellent rate capability (111 and 196 mAh g-1 at 5 A g-1 for PIBs and SIBs, respectively), which are superior to other MXene-based anodes for PIBs and SIBs. Moreover, the described strategy provides a new insight for constructing the 3D porous structure from 2D building blocks beyond MXene.

The self-powered electrochemical biosensing platform with multi-amplification strategy for ultrasensitive detection of microRNA-155. Anal Chim Acta 2023; 1239:340702. Abstract
A self-powered biosensor (SPB) was constructed for the ultra-sensitive detection of microRNA-155 (miR-155) by combining a capacitor/enzymatic biofuel cell (EBFC), a strategy of rolling circle amplification (RCA) and a digital multimeter (DMM). The experimental results show that the sensitivity of the assembled EBFC-SPB can reach 15.85 μA/pM with the action of matching capacitor, which is 513% of that without capacitor (3.09 μA/pM). This achieves the first signal amplification. Furthermore, when the target miR-155 triggers RCA, electrons are continuous generated and flow to the biocathode through the external circuit to catalyze the reduction of oxygen and release [Ru(NH3)6]3+ electron acceptor. This achieves the second signal amplification. Finally, DMM is used to convert the signal into instantaneous current and amplify it for real-time reading. This achieves the third signal amplification. Therefore, the limit of detection (LOD) of the developed biosensor is as low as 0.17 fM (S/N = 3), and the linear range is between 0.5 fM and 10,000 fM, indicating that the EBFC-SPB has a broad application prospect for cancer marker of miR-155 with ultrasensitive detection.

Abstract
Effective dispersion of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is of great importance to achieve their intrinsic performance. Normally, it is believed that CNT dispersion is decided by interactions between CNTs and their dispersants, while other interactions are often neglected. Herein, three ionic surfactants, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), dodecyl dimethyl betaine (BS-12) and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), are used to disperse CNTs in a ternary composite, i.e., poly(p-phenylenediamine)-phosphomolybdic acid@reduced graphene oxide (DMoG), respectively, leading to three different DMoGC composites. It has been found that the CNT dispersion in DMoGC was mainly controlled by electrostatic interactions between the surfactants and DMoG, which further exerted vital influences on the constitution, content, morphology, porous structure and supercapacitive performance of the DMoGC composites. Among the three surfactants, cationic CTAB showed the best CNT dispersion, while amphoteric BS-12 could hardly disperse CNTs in DMoGC, leading to DMoGC-CTAB with a 2 times larger specific surface area (152.3 m2 g-1) and 1.5 times higher specific capacitance (422 F g-1) than those of DMoGC-(BS-12). Our study can provide valuable guidelines for selecting/designing effective dispersants to prepare multi-component composites containing uniformly dispersed CNTs.

Abstract
In this paper, a 2D molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanosheet is prepared via a one-step hydrothermal method as electrode material for supercapacitors. Meanwhile, a series of MoS2-x nanostructures with sulfur vacancies have been successfully obtained in an Ar/H2 mixed atmosphere at different annealing temperatures. The prepared materials were characterized by XRD, HR-TEM, Raman and XPS to identify their morphology and crystal properties. MoS2-x assembled by interconnected nanosheets (MoS2-x -700) provides a maximum specific capacitance of 143.12 F g-1 at a current density of 1.0 A g-1 with 87.1% of initial capacitance reserved after 5000 cycles. The outstanding performance of the annealed MoS2-x nanosheets in sodium storage is mainly attributed to the synergistic effect of the unique interconnected structure and the abundant active vacancy generated by the sulfur vacancies. Atomic models of sulfur vacancy defects on the basal plane, Mo-edge and S-edge were established and the electronic properties of MoS2-x were further evaluated assisted by first principles theory. DFT calculation results show that sulfur vacancy defects can provide additional empty states near the Fermi level and induce unpaired electrons, thus increasing the carrier density and improving electrical conductivity. Our findings in this work provide experimental and theoretical evidence of improving the electrochemical performance of 2H-MoS2 nanosheets by annealing treatment.

Abstract
Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have been considered as the promising energy storage materials due to their unique crystalline structure. In this work, the VSe2 nanoparticles are vertically anchored on N-doping carbon (NC) hollow nanosphere (VSe2@NC) for aqueous energy application. The electrochemical measurements indicate that the VSe2@NC electrode exhibits outstanding electrochemical properties with high specific capacitance and excellent cycling life. Moreover, the asymmetric supercapacitor was assembled by using VSe2@NC cathode and activated carbon anode. It shows high energy density of 85.41 Wh Kg-1 at a power density of 701.99 W Kg-1, and high-stable cycling performance of 90% retention after 2000 cycles. The superior properties are attributed to the particular hollow structure design, which accommodates both the high specific capacity of VSe2 and the desired electrical conductivity of N-doping carbon sphere template.
