Abstract
Deoxynivalenol (DON) is a common mycotoxin that contaminates cereals. Therefore, the development of sensitive and efficient detection methods for DON is essential to guarantee food safety and human health. In this study, an enzyme cascade amplification-based immunoassay (ECAIA) using a dual-functional alkaline phosphatase-linked single-chain fragment variable fusion tracer (scFv-ALP) and MnO2 nanosheets was established for DON detection. The scFv-ALP effectively catalyzes the hydrolysis of ascorbyl-2-phosphate (AAP) to produce ascorbic acid (AA). This AA subsequently interacts with MnO2 nanosheets to initiate a redox reaction that results in the loss of oxidizing properties of MnO2. In the absence of ALP, MnO2 nanosheets can oxidize 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) to produce the blue oxidized product of TMB, which exhibits a signal at a wavelength of 650 nm for quantitative analysis. After optimization, the ECAIA had a limit of detection of 0.45 ng/mL and a linear range of 1.2-35.41 ng/mL. The ECAIA exhibited good accuracy in recovery experiments and high selectivity for DON. Moreover, the detection results of the actual corn samples correlated well with those from high-performance liquid chromatography. Overall, the proposed ECAIA based on the scFv-ALP and MnO2 nanosheets was demonstrated as a reliable tool for the detection of DON in corn samples.

Abstract
Deoxynivalenol (DON) is a mycotoxin that widely distributes in various foods and seriously threatens food safety. To minimize the consumers' dietary exposure to DON, there is an urgent demand for developing rapid and sensitive detection methods for DON in food. In this study, a bifunctional single-chain variable fragment (scFv) linked alkaline phosphatase (ALP) fusion protein was developed for rapid and sensitive detection of deoxynivalenol (DON). The scFv gene was chemically synthesized and cloned into the expression vector pET25b containing the ALP gene by homologous recombination. The prokaryotic expression, purification, and activity analysis of fusion proteins (scFv-ALP and ALP-scFv) were well characterized and performed. The interactions between scFv and DON were investigated by computer-assisted simulation, which included hydrogen bonds, hydrophobic interactions, and van der Waals forces. The scFv-ALP which showed better bifunctional activity was selected for developing a direct competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (dc-ELISA) for DON in cereals. The dc-ELISA takes 90 min for one test and exhibits a half inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 11.72 ng/mL, of which the IC50 was 3.08-fold lower than that of the scFv-based dc-ELISA. The developed method showed high selectivity for DON, and good accuracy was obtained from the spike experiments. Furthermore, the detection results of actual cereal samples analyzed by the method correlated well with that determined by high-performance liquid chromatography (R2=0.97165). These results indicated that the scFv-ALP is a promising bifunctional probe for developing the one-step colorimetric immunoassay, providing a new strategy for rapid and sensitive detection of DON in cereals.

Abstract
A molecularly imprinted polymer with a specific selectivity for patulin was successfully synthesized. The molecularly imprinted material was prepared using the two functional monomers dopamine and melamine and formaldehyde as the cross-linker. The resulting material possessed a large number of hydrophilic groups, such as hydroxyls, imino groups, and ether linkages. For the first time, uric acid was used as a dummy template for its structural similarity to patulin. Comprehensive characterization and detailed studies of the adsorption process were carried out via adsorption isotherms, while the rate-limiting steps were investigated using adsorption kinetics. Separation, determination, and quantification of patulin were achieved by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with both photodiode array detection and tandem mass spectrometry. The latter was applied to patulin confirmation in the analysis of real samples. The methodology was validated in 20 apple juice samples. The results showed that the developed hydrophilic molecularly imprinted polymer had high selectivity and specific adsorption towards patulin, with mean recoveries ranging between 85 and 90% and a relative standard deviation lower than 15%. The developed molecularly imprinted polymer exhibited good linearity in the range 1-100 ng mL-1 with coefficient of determination (R2) > 0.99. The limit of detection was 0.5 ng mL-1, and the limit of quantification was 1 ng g-1. The developed method showed a good purification capacity for apple juices due to its hydrophilic nature and the polar interactions established with the target analyte.

Abstract
Bisphenol A (BPA) and its four analogues have been receiving considerable attention owing to their potential endocrine disrupting effects. The European Food Safety Authority has proposed 0.04 ng/kg·body weight/day of thetemporary tolerable daily intake for BPA. Therefore, a more sensitive analytical method was urgently needed for the necessity of the risk reassessment of bisphenols (BPs). The matrix effect of Chinese foods is a challenge for the analysis of ultra-trace analytes due to the presence of various spices. A multi-immunoaffinity column (mIAC) was prepared for the purification of BPA, BPB, BPF, BPS, and BPAF in Chinese foods following ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry detection (UHLPC-MS/MS). The recoveries of each of BPs were ranged from 84.6% to 116.7%, and the intra-day precision and inter-day precision were ranged from 1.6% to 12.4%, and from 4.1% to 14.0%, respectively. This is the first report on the mIACs for simultaneous clean-up and analysis of BPs in complex Chinese foods.

Abstract
In this study, a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for simultaneous determination of deoxynivalenol, aflatoxin B1, zearalenone, ochratoxin A, T-2 toxin and fumonisin B1 in feed and feedstuff was established. The sample was extracted with an acetonitrile–water mixture (60:40, v/v), purified by an immunoaffinity column, eluted with a methanol–acetic acid mixture (98:2, v/v), and reconstituted with a methanol–water mixture (50:50, v/v) after drying with nitrogen. Finally, the reconstituted solution was detected by LC-MS/MS and quantified by isotope internal standard method. The six mycotoxins had a good linear relationship in a certain concentration range, the correlation coefficients were all greater than 0.99, the limits of detection were between 0.075 and 1.5 µg·kg−1, and the limits of quantification were between 0.5 and 5 µg·kg−1. The average spike recoveries in the four feed matrices ranged from 84.2% to 117.1% with relative standard deviations less than 11.6%. Thirty-six actual feed samples were analyzed for mycotoxins, and at least one mycotoxin was detected in each sample. The proposed method is reliable and suitable for detecting common mycotoxins in feed samples.

Abstract
In the present study, a rapid and sensitive determination method of seven mycotoxins was developed using immunomagnetic solid-phase extraction (IMPSE) coupled with UHPLC-MS/MS. Monoclonal antibodies were conjugated with CNBr superparamagnetic beads, and the major parameters affecting the IMPSE efficiency were systematically investigated. Under the optimized conditions, the mycotoxins were purified with the IMSPE procedure within 15 min and simultaneously quantified by UHPLC-MS/MS. Good linearities of the analytic method were established with the determination coefficients (R2) ranging from 0.9952 to 0.9997. The limit of quantifications were 0.04 µg kg-1 ∼ 0.16 µg kg-1, which fully satisfied the regulatory maximum levels. The recoveries were 84.5-112.7% with intra-day and inter-day precision less than 15.2%. Finally, the proposed IMSPE-UHPLC-MS/MS was successfully utilized to analyze seven mycotoxins in peanut, maize, and wheat, providing a simple and robust extraction and enrichment procedure of hydrophilic and zwitterionic analytes from complex matrix.

Abstract
The quality and safety of wheat flour are of public concern since they are related to the quality of flour products and human health. Therefore, efficient and convenient analytical techniques are needed for the quality and safety controls of wheat flour. Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy has become an ideal technique for assessing the quality and safety of wheat flour, as it is a rapid, efficient and nondestructive method. The application of NIR spectroscopy in the quality and safety analysis of wheat flour is addressed in this review. First, we briefly summarize the basic knowledge of NIR spectroscopy and chemometrics. Then, recent advances in the application of NIR spectroscopy for chemical composition, technological parameters, and safety analysis are presented. Finally, the potential of NIR spectroscopy is discussed. Combined with chemometric methods, NIR spectroscopy has been used to detect chemical composition, technological parameters, deoxynivalenol, adulterants and additives of wheat flour. Furthermore, NIR spectroscopy has shown great potential for the rapid and online analysis of the quality and safety of wheat flour. It is anticipated that the current review will serve as a reference for the future analysis of wheat flour by NIR spectroscopy to ensure the quality and safety of flour products. NIR spectroscopy is an ideal technique for analysis of wheat flour due to its rapid and nondestructive nature. Use of NIR spectroscopy for chemical composition, technological parameters, and safety analysis. Online and handheld NIR spectrometers for wheat flour detection are the future trends.

Abstract
Deoxynivalenol (DON) and zearalenone (ZEN) are mycotoxins that contaminate a wide range of grains and crops. In this study, a one-step time-resolved single-channel immunochromatographic test strip based on europium ion polystyrene fluorescence microspheres was first developed for sensitive and quantitative detection of DON and ZEN. The concentration of the artificial antigen and the mass ratio of the monoclonal antibody to fluorescent microspheres for conjugation were optimized to simplify the sample addition process during immunochromatographic assay and improve the on-site detection efficiency. The limits of detection (LOD) of the single-channel immunochromatographic test strip for DON and ZEN detection were 0.17 and 0.54 μg/L, respectively. Meanwhile, the dual-channel immunochromatographic test strip was designed to simultaneously detect DON and ZEN, with LODs of 0.24 and 0.69 μg/L achieved for DON and ZEN, respectively. The developed test strips also yielded recovery results consistent with that obtained by LC-MS/MS for DON and ZEN detection in real samples of wheat and corn flour, confirming the practicability and reliability of the test strip. The developed immunochromatographic test strips realize quick and sensitive detection of DON and ZEN, exhibiting potential for broad applications in the point-of-care testing platform of multiple mycotoxins in agricultural products. Abstract
A simple and low-cost fluorescence aptasensor was developed for rapid and sensitive signal amplification detection of T-2 mycotoxin (T-2). Dual-terminal-fluorescein amidite (FAM)-labeled aptamer (D-aptamer) acted as a recognition element and signal indicator. The metal organic frameworks (MOFs) of N, N'-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)dithiooxamidato copper (II) (H2dtoaCu) were as the quencher. The D-aptamer was initially adsorbed to the surface of H2dtoaCu, leading to efficient quenching of the aptasensor. Upon addition of T-2, the D-aptamer underwent a conformation change to form the T-2/T-2 aptamer complex, which induced the signaling probe to be released from the H2dtoaCu surface. Thus, the fluorescence intensity (FL) of the D-aptamer was recovered. Versus the single-terminal-FAM-labeled aptamer (S-aptamer), the D-aptamer showed a lower detection limit of 0.39 ng/mL. The aptasensor was also successfully applied to detect T-2 in corn and wheat samples with good recoveries.
