Abstract
At present, traditional analytical methods suffer from issues such as complex operation, expensive equipment, and a lengthy testing time. Electrochemical sensors have shown great advantages and application potential as an alternative solution. In this study, we proposed a novel semiautomated electrochemical sensor array (SAESA) platform. The sensor array was fabricated using screen-printed technology with a tubular design where all electrodes were printed on the inner wall. The integration of the tubular sensor array with a pipet allows for a semiautomated process including sampling and rinsing, which simplifies operation and reduces overall time. Each working electrode in the tubular sensor array underwent distinct decoration to get specific sensing responses toward the target analytes in a mixture environment (e.g., blood samples). To demonstrate the applicability of the developed sensing platform for simultaneous multianalyte detection, we chose antibiotic treatment for inflammatory infection as a model scenario and continuously measured three biomarkers, namely, tigecycline (TGC), procalcitonin (PCT), and alanine aminotransferase (ALT). The detection limits were 0.3 μM, 0.3 ng/L, and 2.76 U/L, respectively. The developed semiautomated electrochemical sensor array exhibits characteristics such as rapid and simple operation, portability, good selectivity, and excellent stability.

Abstract
Ovalbumin (OVA) is an important protein source in our daily life. Unfortunately, the food safety problem has become more and more serious, such as protein allergy and contaminated protein. Therefore, it is necessary to detect vital proteins efficiently and rapidly. Mass spectrometry (MS) is a powerful tool for the detection of proteins. Herein, dual amino acids functionalized covalent organic frameworks containing disulfide covalent bonds (COF@SS@GC, where G is glutathione and C is cysteine) were facilely prepared for OVA enrichment through hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) under physiological pH. The results showed that COF@SS@GC had displayed sensitive detection (0.1 fmol), good selectivity (OVA: BSA = 1:100), adsorption capacity (311 mg/g), stability, reproducibility, linearity, LOQ level (42 μg/mL) and recovery ratio (64.83 %) for OVA. COF@SS@GC also demonstrated satisfactory purification ability in the enrichment of egg white, indicating that COF@SS@GC had great potential in the enrichment of protein from complex samples.

Abstract
Here, fluorescent artificial antibodies for sensing ovalbumin in food were synthesized by molecular imprinting technique in a microfluidic reactor. A phenylboronic acid-functionalized silane was employed as the functional monomer to enable the polymer has pH-responsive property. Fluorescent molecularly imprinted polymers (FMIPs) could be produced continuously in a short time. Both fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and rhodamine B isothiocyanate (RB)-based FMIPs can specifically recognize the target ovalbumin, particularly FITC-based FMIP, giving an imprinting factor of 2.5 and cross-reactivity factors of 2.7 (ovotransferrin), 2.8 (β-lactoglobulin) and 3.4 (bovine serum albumin), and was applied for the detection of ovalbumin in milk powder with recovery rates of 93-110%; moreover, the FMIP can be reused at least four times. Such FMIPs have promising future in replacing the fluorophore-labelled antibodies to fabricate fluorescent sensing devices or establish immunoassay methods, which have extra merits of low-cost, high stability and recyclability, easy to carry and store at ambient environments.

Abstract
A molecularly imprinted electrochemical sensor (MIECS) for trace determination of taurine was developed. The sensor was constructed by electropolymerizing dopamine and o-phenylenediamine as dual monomers on the surface of amino-functionalized iron-based MOFs and graphene composite-modified electrode. The porous structure and large specific surface area of amino-functionalized iron-based MOFs not only increase the number of imprinted sites, but also facilitate the binding of molecularly imprinted films. The presence of dual monomers can increase the binding sites during the formation of imprinted films. The linear range of this sensor for taurine detection is 1.00 × 10-14-1.00 × 10-8 mol L-1 with a determination limit of 3.20 × 10-15 mol L-1. The proposed MIECS was successfully applied to quantify the amount of taurine in human serum sample with good recovery values from 97.3 to 113%.

Specifically triggered dissociation based ratiometric electrochemical sensor for H 2O 2 measurement in food samples. Food Chem 2022; 387:132922. Abstract
A novel ratiometric strategy based electrochemical sensor was developed to quantitative assay of H2O2 in different food samples. 4-aminophenylboronic acid pinacol ester (ABAPE) dissociation was specifically triggered by H2O2 to generate electro-active 4-aminophenol (4-AP), which not only can be oxidized to indirectly indicate the concentration of H2O2, but also endowed the sensor with high selectivity. Meanwhile, a reference probe of poly(thionine) (TH) was modified with ketjen black (KB) and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) on electrode surface. KB and AuNPs displayed high electrocatalytic activity to 4-AP. A current ratio between 4-AP and TH (i/iTH) showed a good linear relationship with the concentration of H2O2 in a range of 3.0 × 10-7 - 1.0 × 10-4 mol/L (0.010 ppm - 3.40 ppm) with a limit of detection of 2.6 × 10-7 mol/L (0.009 ppm) (S/N = 3). Moreover, the ratiometric strategy based sensor possessed good accuracy, reliability, and stability, and successfully determined H2O2 in food samples with satisfactory results.

Abstract
Nanopipettes provide a promising confined space that enables advances in single-molecule analysis, and their unique conical tubular structure is also suitable for single-cell analysis. In this work, functionalized-nanopore-based single-entity electrochemistry (SEE) analysis tools were developed for the label-free monitoring of single-molecule glycoprotein-boronate affinity interaction for the first time, and immunoglobulin G (IgG, one of the important biomarkers for many diseases such as COVID-19 and cancers) was employed as the model glycoprotein. The principle of this method is based on a single glycoprotein molecule passing through 4-mercaptophenylboronic acid (4-MPBA)-modified nanopipettes under a bias voltage and in the meantime interacting with the boronate group from modified 4-MPBA. This translocation and affinity interaction process can generate distinguishable current blockade signals. Based on the statistical analysis of these signals, the equilibrium association constant (κa) of single-molecule glycoprotein-boronate affinity interaction was obtained. The results show that the κa of IgG in the confined nanopore at the single-molecule level is much larger than that measured in the open system at the ensemble level, which is possibly due to the enhanced multivalent synergistic binding in the restricted space. Moreover, the functionalized-nanopore-based SEE analysis tools were further applied for the label-free detection of IgG, and the results indicate that our method has potential application value for the detection of glycoproteins in real samples, which also paves way for the single-cell analysis of glycoproteins.

Abstract
Transferrin (Trf) is a new type of active drug targeting carrier and disease biomarker that regulates the balance of iron ions in human body. The recognition and isolation of Trf is of great significance for disease diagnosis and treatment. Thus, a new type of magnetic dual affinity epitope molecularly imprinted polymer coated on Fe3O4 nanoparticles (Fe3O4@DEMIP) was successfully prepared for specific recognition of Trf. C-terminal nonapeptide and Trf glycan were selected as bi-epitope templates for metal chelation and boron affinity immobilization, respectively. 4-vinylphenylboric acid (4-VP), N-isopropyl acrylamide (NIPAM) and zinc acrylic were used as functional monomers. Results showed that Fe3O4@DEMIP exhibited excellent specific recognition ability adsorption capacity toward Trf, with an adsorption of 43.96 mg g-1 (RSD = 3.28%) and a more satisfactory imprinting factor (about 6.60) than that of other reported imprinting methods. In addition, Fe3O4@DEMIP displayed pH, temperature and magnetic sensitivity properties to realize temperature and pH-controlled recognition and release of target proteins and magnetic rapid separation. Furthermore, the Fe3O4@DEMIP coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis was successfully used for specific recognition of Trf in biosamples. This study provides a reliable protocol for preparing metal chelation and boron affinity dual affinity bi-epitope molecularly imprinted polymers for synergistic and efficient recognition of biomacromolecules in the complex biological systems.

Abstract
Phenylboronic acid-functionalized nanometer-sized CaCO3 particles (PBA-CaCO3) were designed to determine the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) glycoprotein with a portable Ca2+ ion-selective electrode (Ca-ISE) through a typical boronate ester bond. CaCO3 nanospheres were conjugated to 3-aminophenylboronic acid by amine-epoxy reaction, whereas target CEA was captured into the aptasensing interface by the immobilized thiolated aptamer on gold substrate. Upon PBA-CaCO3 introduction, 3-aminophenylboronic acid labeled to CaCO3 microsphere specifically recognized with CEA glycoprotein based on sugar-boronic acid interaction to form a sandwiched complex. The carried CaCO3 was dissolved under acidic conditions to release Ca2+ ion with a portable Ca-ISE readout. Thanks to the specific boronate ester bond between PBA and 1,2-diols, the synthesized PBA-CaCO3 exhibited good conjugation properties for CEA glycoprotein. Under optimum conditions, Ca-ISE-based aptasensing platform exhibited good electrode potential response for evaluation of target CEA, and allowed detection of CEA at a concentration as low as 7.3 pg mL-1. Importantly, Ca-ISE-based aptasensing system is readily extended to detect other disease-related glycoproteins by controlling the corresponding aptamer.
