Abstract
Herein, a self-enhanced molecularly imprinted polymer luminescence (MIP-ECL) sensing platform based on gold-copper doped Tb-MOFs (Au@Cu:Tb-MOFs) was constructed for ultra-sensitive detection of chlorpyrifos (CPF). In this work, Au@Cu:Tb-MOFs as co-reaction promoters greatly improve the ECL emission signal, while Au@Cu:Tb-MOFs were used as cathode emitters. And chlorpyrifos and 4,7-bis(thiophene-2-yl)benzo [c][1,2,5] thiadiazole were electropolymerized on electrode surface to form MIP, where this films with thiophene derivatives could greatly improve ECL signal. Notably, the introduction of MIP as recognition elements enabled specific identification of target analytes, in which molecular docking technique validated target analyte and functional monomers are tightly bound through Pi-alkyl interaction. As the concentration of CPF increases, the ECL signal gradually decreases, showing a good linear relationship in the range of 0.1-106 pg/mL with a low detection limit (LOD) of 0.029 pg/mL. Moreover, actual sample testing experiment of this method displayed a special correlation in organophosphorus detection and development potential in actual sample analysis.

Abstract
An eco-friendly biomass waste-derived magnetic material coated with a dual-dummy-template molecularly imprinted polymer was fabricated using aqueous ethanol as a green porogen, lower amounts of toxic compounds as template molecules, and tyrosine and tryptophan as biocompatible binary monomers. The binding characteristics and selectivity of the material toward pesticides were assessed. High adsorption capacities ranging from 150.11 to 509.09 mg g-1 and imprinting factors reaching 2.2 were achieved within just 30 s. The material was applied for extraction of organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides prior to HPLC analysis. Under the optimum conditions, low limits of detection and quantitation were achieved, with ranges of 0.05-1.49 μg/L and 0.18-5.00 μg/L, respectively. The established approach enables efficient analysis of vegetable and fruit samples, yielding satisfactory recoveries ranging between 80 and 110 %. The method showed promise as an analytical method for the sensitive enrichment of pesticide residues in vegetable and fruit samples.

Abstract
Prolonged and excessive use of chlorpyrifos (CPS) has caused severe pollution, particularly in crops, vegetables, fruits, and water sources. As a result, CPS is detected in various food and water samples using conventional methods. However, its applications are limited due to size, portability, cost, etc. In this regard, electrochemical sensors are preferred for CPS detection due to their high sensitivity, reliability, rapid, on-site detection, and user-friendly. Notably, graphene-based electrochemical sensors have gained more attention due to their unique physiochemical and electrochemical properties. It shows high sensitivity, selectivity, and quick response because of its high surface area and high conductivity. In this review, we have discussed an overview of three graphene-based different functional electrochemical sensors such as electroanalytical sensors, bio-electrochemical sensors, and photoelectrochemical sensors used to detect CPS in food and water samples. Furthermore, the fabrication and operation of these electrochemical sensors using various materials (low band gap material, nanomaterials, enzymes, antibodies, DNA, aptamers, and so on) and electrochemical techniques (CV, DPV, EIS, SWV etc.) are discussed. The study found that the electrical signal was reduced with increasing CPS concentration. This is due to the blocking of active sites, reduced redox reaction, impedance, irreversible reactions, etc. In addition, acetylcholinesterase-coupled sensors are more sensitive and stable than others. Also, it can be further improved by fabricating with low band gap nanomaterials. Despite their advantages, these sensors have significant drawbacks, such as low reusability, repeatability, stability, and high cost. Therefore, further research is required to overcome such limitations.

Abstract
Perception of UV radiation has important applications in medical health, industrial production, electronic communication, etc. In numerous application scenarios, there is an increasing demand for the intuitive and low-cost detection of UV radiation through colorimetric visual behavior, as well as the efficient and multi-functional utilization of UV radiation. However, photodetectors based on photoconductive modes or photosensitive colorimetric materials are not conducive to portable or multi-scene applications owing to their complex and expensive photosensitive components, potential photobleaching, and single-stimulus response behavior. Here, a multifunctional visual sensor based on the "host-guest photo-controlled permutation" strategy and the "lock and key" model is developed. The host-guest specific molecular recognition and electrochromic sensing platform is integrated at the micro-molecular scale, enabling multi-functional and multi-scene applications in the convenient and fast perception of UV radiation, military camouflage, and information erasure at the macro level of human-computer interaction through light-electrical co-controlled visual switching characteristics. This light-electrical co-controlled visual sensor based on an optoelectronic multi-mode sensing system is expected to provide new ideas and paradigms for healthcare, microelectronics manufacturing, and wearable electronic devices owing to its advantages of signal visualization, low energy consumption, low cost, and versatility.

Abstract
Credible and on-site detection of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) in complex matrixes is significant for food security and environmental monitoring. Herein, a novel COF/methylene blue@MnO2 (COF/MB@MnO2) composite featured abundant signal loading, a specific recognition unit, and robust oxidase-like activity was successfully prepared through facile assembly processes. The multifunctional composite acted as a homogeneous electrochemical and photothermal dual-mode sensing platform for OPs detection through stimuli-responsive regulation. Without the presence of OPs, the surface MnO2 coating could recognize thiocholine (TCh), originating from acetylcholinesterase (AChE)-catalyzed hydrolysis of acetylthiocholine (ATCh), and exhibited a distinctly amplified diffusion current due to the release of plentiful MB; while the residual MnO2 nanosheets could only catalyze less TMB into oxidized TMB (oxTMB) with a typical near-infrared (NIR) absorption, enabling NIR-driven photothermal assay with a low temperature using a portable thermometer. Based on the inhibitory effect of OPs on AChE activity and OP-regulated generation of TCh, chlorpyrifos as a model target can be accurately detected with a low limit of detection of 0.0632 and 0.108 ng/mL by complementary electrochemical and photothermal measurements, respectively. The present dual-mode sensor was demonstrated to be excellent for application to the reliable detection of OPs in complex environmental and food samples. This work can not only provide a complementary dual-mode method for convenient and on-site detection of OPs in different scenarios but also expand the application scope of the COF-based multifunctional composite in multimodal sensors.

Abstract
An eco-friendly magnetic dual-dummy-template molecularly imprinted polymer (MDDMIP) was prepared by a "one-pot" green synthesis using mixed-valence iron hydroxide as the magnetic material, a deep eutectic solvent as the coporogen, and caffeic acid and glutamic acid as binary monomers. The adsorption properties toward organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs) were investigated. High adsorption capacities (269.65-304.93 mg g-1), quick adsorption times (20 s), and high imprinting factors (2.28-3.83) were obtained. The proposed MDDMIP was utilized for magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) of OPPs prior to quantification by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The developed method exhibited outstanding linearity (0.05-500 μg L-1), low detection limits (0.003-0.015 μg L-1), and excellent enrichment factors (940-1310 folds). The MSPE-HPLC method was successfully applied for the detection of OPPs in vegetable, fruit, and grain samples with acceptable recoveries (80-119%). This method is a good potential method for the analysis of pesticide residues in complex matrices.

Abstract
A rapid and selective sorbent for the enrichment of dibutyl phthalate (DBP) from water and Chinese Baijiu samples was established using magnetic surface molecularly imprinted polymers (MSMIPs) combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS). The MSMIPs were synthesized using a magnetic nanosphere material with silica layer, increasing the polymer surface area as a carrier. Compared with the traditional methods, the addition of magnetic microspheres simplified the process of food substrate purification and significantly shortened the pre-concentration time. The MSMIPs adsorption conforms to the Freundlich isotherm model as multilayer adsorption on an inhomogeneous surface and the pseudo-second-order model. The developed MSMIPs combined with GC-MS method showed good linearity in DBP concentration range of 0.02-1.0 mg L-1 with low LOD (0.0054 mg L-1) and LOQ (0.018 mg L-1), and obtained good recoveries in real samples (95.2-97.2%) with RSD < 5.0% (n = 9), which were consistent with those from Chinese national standard method.

Abstract
A novel magnetic-controlled electrochemical sensor has been fabricated by combined photo-responsive surface molecular imprinted polymers (P-SMIPs) and electrochemical sensor. In particular, the P-SMIPs were obtained by living radical polymerization of photo-responsive functional monomer onto the magnetic Fe3O4 modified multi-walled carbon nanotubes nanocomposites. The magnetic glassy carbon electrode was introduced to make the anchoring and removal of P-SMIPs onto the magnetic-controlled glassy carbon electrode easy to manipulate. Driven by UV/vis light, the platform performs releasing and absorption of metronidazole basing on conformational variations of the photo-responsive monomer at the receptor sites part in the P-SMIPs. This process can be tested by the photo-responsive variations of metronidazole electrochemical signal. As the consequence, extracting of P-SMIPs sensor can be conveniently triggered by the controllable UV light intervention measure, leading to effectively improve in both analytes mass transfer rate to the receiving media and extraction efficiency. The experimental result indicated that the excellent recoveries of metronidazole were varied between 77.9% and 89.9% with RSDs ≤4.87% in the biological samples. Therefore, the P-SMIPs sensor shows satisfactory potential in reusable extractions that can be recycled several times with no significant loss of activity, and this utilization strategy can be extended to other analytes, achieving manifold applications of pharmaceutical and environmental.

Abstract
Chlorpyrifos, as a moderate toxic organophosphorus pesticide, is prone to lingering in the environment and cannot be monitored easily. In this study, a magnetic, microporous, molecularly imprinted polymer was synthesized by using the reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization method. The synthesized materials were properly characterized in terms of morphology, selectivity, and sorption capacity and used as sorbents for magnetic solid phase extraction for the selective determination of chlorpyrifos in apple samples. Results showed that the magnetic microporous molecularly imprinted materials were rough and porous spheres at an average size of 5 nm. The materials were highly selective toward chlorpyrifos with a superior sorption capacity of 167.99 mg·g-1 and were resistant to the interference of competitive pollutants. After optimization, the recoveries of chlorpyrifos reached 96.2-106.5%, and the detection limit was 0.028 μg·kg-1 by HPLC. Based on these analytical validation results, the developed method could be effective at determining chlorpyrifos in apples.

Abstract
Quinoline, as a refractory and toxic organic pollutant in coking wastewater, causes great harm to the environment and human health even in trace amount. To realize the selective and sensitive detection of quinoline in coking wastewater, a novel molecularly imprinted fluorescent nanopomegranate with carbon dots (CDs) as seeds and fluorescence source (CD-MIP) was prepared, using quinoline as the template, and N-(β-aminoethyl)-γ-aminopropyl trimethoxysilane (KH792) as the monomer. The preparation and detection conditions of CD-MIP were systematically optimized. The structure and detection performance of CD-MIP were investigated in detail. The resulting CD-MIP exhibits excellent photoluminescence performance, high detection sensitivity, good selectivity and reproducibility towards quinoline. Under the optimized conditions, the fluorescence intensity of CD-MIP shows a satisfying linearity with quinoline concentration in the range of 20-200 mg/L with a detection limit of 6.7 mg/L. Owing to the existence of imprinted cavities that highly match with quinoline, a high imprinting factor (3.46) for CD-MIP was obtained. In addition, CD-MIP represents a greater affinity towards quinoline than towards other analogues, as well as an outstanding anti-interference capability. For trace analysis in real coking wastewater, CD-MIP also gives satisfactory results. Therefore, CD-MIP shows promising application in the selective detection of trace quinoline in wastewater.

Abstract
Human pancreatic lipase is a symbolic biomarker for the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis, which has profound significance for clinical detection and disease treatment. Herein, we first demonstrate a paper-based lipase sensor via a phase separation-induced viscosity change. Lipase catalyzes triolein to produce oleic acid and glycerol. Adding an excess of Ca2+ produces calcium oleate. The remaining Ca2+ binds with sodium alginate, triggering hydrogelation with an "egg-box" structure. The viscosity change of the aqueous solution induced by the phase separation process can be quantified by measuring the solution flow distance on a pH test paper. The paper-based lipase sensor has high sensitivity with a detection limit of 0.052 U/mL and also shows excellent specificity. Additionally, it is also utilized for quantitative lipase analysis in human serum samples to exhibit its potency in acute pancreatitis detection. This method overcomes the drawbacks of low sensitivity, slow response, and poor reproducibility caused by the nonuniform distribution of the highly viscous hydrogel on the sensing interface in existing approaches. In conclusion, thanks to the prominent characteristics of high portability, low cost, and easy operation, it is prospective for simple quantitative detection of lipase and has great potential for commercialization.

Abstract
Magnetic porous cellulose molecularly imprinted polymers-based bisphenols have been developed using Fe3O4 as the magnetic material, a deep eutectic solvent as the assisted solvent, and N-isopropylacrylamide as the functional monomer. The resulting magnetic porous cellulose molecularly imprinted polymers were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometry, thermal gravimetric analysis, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis. Moreover, the adsorption properties of the magnetic porous cellulose molecularly imprinted polymers toward bisphenol A, bisphenol F, and bisphenol AF were investigated using static, dynamic, and selective adsorption experiments. The introduction of porous cellulose materials significantly improves the capabilities of the material. The adsorption capacity, mass transfer efficiency, and selectivity of the magnetic porous cellulose molecularly imprinted polymers toward bisphenol A were 5.9, 4.0, and 4.4 times those of traditional molecularly imprinted polymers. Moreover, the adsorption stability of the magnetic porous cellulose molecularly imprinted polymers was investigated under different temperature and pH conditions. The adsorption characteristics of the magnetic porous cellulose molecularly imprinted polymers toward the target molecules were investigated using adsorption isotherm, kinetic, and thermodynamic models. Hydrogen bonding is the main interaction formed between the magnetic porous cellulose molecularly imprinted polymers and the target molecules. Magnetic porous cellulose molecularly imprinted polymers have great application value with excellent stability and reusability. Finally, the combination of the magnetic porous cellulose molecularly imprinted polymers and high-performance liquid chromatography or ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry was successfully used for the purification and detection of bisphenols in milk (1.349 ng/mL bisphenol F and 3.014 ng/mL bisphenol AF), canned fruits (1129 ng/mL bisphenol A, 10.11 ng/mL bisphenol F, and 91.87 ng/mL bisphenol AF), and fish (11.91 ng/mL bisphenol AF) samples. Furthermore, the magnetic porous cellulose molecularly imprinted polymer method is more selective, sensitive, and accurate than the traditional precipitation method.

Abstract
Chlorpyrifos (CP) is one of the most popular organophosphorus pesticides that is commonly used in agricultural and nonagricultural environments to combat pests. However, several concerns regarding contamination due to the unmitigated use of chlorpyrifos have come up over recent years. This has popularized research on various techniques for chlorpyrifos detection. Since conventional methods do not enable smooth detection, the recent trends of chlorpyrifos detection have shifted toward electrochemical and optical sensing techniques that offer higher sensitivity and selectivity. The objective of this review is to provide a brief overview of some of the important and innovative contributions in the field of electrochemical and optical sensing of chlorpyrifos with a primary focus on the comparative advantages and shortcomings of these techniques. This review paper will help to offer better perspectives for research in organophosphorus pesticide detection in the future.

Abstract
Chlorpyrifos (CPF) is widely used as an organophosphorus insecticide; however, owing to developmental neurotoxicity, genotoxicity, and other adverse effects, it is harmful not only to livestock but also to humans. Therefore, the use of CPF was recently regulated, and its sensitive detection is crucial, as it causes serious toxicity, even in the case of residual pesticides. Because it is hard to detect the chlorpyrifos directly using spectroscopy (especially in SERS) without chemical reagents, we aimed to develop a SERS platform that could detect the chlorpyrifos directly in the water. In this study, we utilized the intrinsic properties of natural lawns that grow randomly and intertwine with each other to have a large surface area to promote photosynthesis. To detect CPF sensitively, we facilitated the rapid fabrication of biomimetic Ag nanograss (Ag-NG) as a surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) substrate using the electrochemical over-deposition method. The efficiency of the SERS method was confirmed through experiments and finite element method (FEM)-based electromagnetic simulations. In addition, the sensitive detection of CPF was enhanced by pretreatment optimization of the application of the SERS technique (limit of detection: 500 nM). The Ag-NG has potential as a SERS platform that could precisely detect organic compounds, as well as various toxic substances.

Abstract
Hyaluronidase (HAase) is implicated in inflammation, cancer development, and allergic reaction. The detection of HAase is significantly important in clinical diagnosis and medical treatment. Herein, we propose a new principle for the development of equipment-free and label-free paper-based flow sensors based on the enzymatic hydrolysis-induced viscosity change in a stimuli-responsive polymer solution, which increases the water flow distance on the pH indicator paper. The detection of HAase is demonstrated as an example. This facile and versatile method can overcome the potential drawbacks of traditional hydrogel-based sensors, including complex preparation steps, slow response time, or low sensitivity. Moreover, it can also avoid the use of specialized instruments, labeled molecules, or functionalized nanoparticles in the sensors developed using the polymer solutions. Using this strategy, the detection of HAase is achieved with a limit of detection as low as 0.2 U/mL. Also, it works well in human urine. Additionally, the detection of tannic acid, which is an inhibitor of HAase, is also fulfilled. Overall, a simple, efficient, high-throughput, and low-cost detection method is developed for the rapid and quantitative detection of HAase and its inhibitor without the use of labeled molecules, synthetic particles, and specialized instruments. As only minimal reagents of HAase, HA, and paper are used, it is very promising in the development of commercial kits for point-of-care testing.

Abstract
A molecularly imprinted sensor for highly sensitive and selective determination of dibutyl phthalate (DBP) was fabricated by combining multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and Au nanoparticles (AuNPs) with surface molecularly imprinted polymer (SMIPs). The MWCNTs and AuNPs were designed to modify the electrode surface to accelerate the electron transfer rate and enhance the chemical stability. SMIPs were synthesized using SiO2 microspheres as carriers. By loading SMIPs capable of identifying DBP on the surface of modified electrodes of MWCNTs and AuNPs, an electrochemical sensor for detecting DBP was successfully constructed. After optimizing the experimental conditions, the modified electrode SiO2-COOH@MIP/AuNPs/MWCNTs/GCE can recognize DBP in the range of 10-7g L-1 to 10-2g L-1, and the detection limit achieved to 5.09 × 10-9 g L-1 (S/N = 3). The results demonstrate that the proposed MIP electrochemical sensor may be a promising candidate electrochemical strategy for detecting DBP in complex samples.

Abstract
A facile, universal and highly efficient approach for producing a self-cleaning electrochemical protein-imprinting biosensor based on dual stimuli-responsive memory hydrogels via free-radical polymerisation is described. As confirmed by static contact angle and scanning electron microscopy results, the imprinted hydrogels exhibited reversible conformational changes after being simulated by an external electric field and temperature. By exploring the properties of imprinted hydrogels for sensing applications, the electrochemical protein-imprinting biosensor was originally fabricated on a glassy carbon electrode using the drop-casting method. Because of the trigger gates of the temperature and electric field, the biosensor demonstrated excellent self-cleaning behaviours compared with other corresponding electric-field or thermo-responsive imprinting biosensors. Moreover, the prepared biosensor exhibited satisfactory selectivity, good biocompatibility, comparable limits of detection and linearity ranges as well as acceptable stability toward bovine serum albumin. Consequently, the biosensor was successfully employed to simultaneously enrich, detect and extract bovine serum albumin from complex biological samples; the process was dynamic, controllable and harmless to the template under the dual external stimuli. Thus, the proposed biosensor exhibited considerable potential in controlled drug/chemical delivery and smart sensing for bioanalyses involving dual stimuli-responsive behaviours.

Abstract
In this study, a biocompatible solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fiber with high-coverage capture capacity based on a nitrogen-rich porous polyaminal was developed. The fiber was used to track the bioaccumulation and elimination of carbamates (isoprocarb, carbofuran, and carbaryl) and their metabolites (o-cumenol, carbofuran phenol, and 1-naphthalenol) in living Chinese cabbage plants (Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis Makino (var. communis Tsen et Lee)). A case-and-control model was applied in the hydroponically cultured plants, with the exposed plant groups contaminated under three carbamates at 5 μg mL-1. Both bio-enrichment and elimination of carbamates and their metabolites in living plants appeared to be very fast with half-lives at ∼0.39-0.79 and ∼0.56-0.69 days, respectively. Statistical differences in the endogenous plant metabolome occurred on day 3 of carbamate exposure. In the exposed group, the plant metabolic alterations were not reversed after 5 days of contaminant-free growth, although most contaminates had been eliminated. Compared with prior nutriological and toxicological studies, >50 compounds were first identified as endogenous metabolites in cabbage plants. The contents of the glucosinolate-related metabolites demonstrated significant time-dependent dysregulations that the fold changes of these key metabolites decreased from 0.78-1.07 to 0.28-0.82 during carbamate exposure. To summarize, in vivo SPME provided new and important information regarding exogenous carbamate contamination and related metabolic dysregulation in plants.
