Abstract
Dpp-imines are classic model substrates for synthetic method studies. Here, we disclose their powerful use as achiral coligands in metal-catalyzed reactions. It is highly interesting to find that the Dpp-imine can not only act as powerful ligand to create excellent chiral pockets with magnesium complexes but also, more importantly, this coligand can dramatically enhance the catalytic ability of the metal catalyst. The underlying reaction mechanism was extensively explored by conducting a series of experiments, including 31P NMR studies of the coordination complex between the Dpp-imine coligand and magnesium complexes, ESI capture results, multiple control experiments, studies and comparison of different coligands, 1H NMR studies on the relationship between the substrate and Dpp-imine coligand, as well as the relationship between the substrate and the full complexes. Furthermore, DFT calculation provided valuable insights in the role of the imine additive and demonstrated that adding the Dpp-imine coligand in the magnesium catalyst can switch the deprotonation/nucleophilic addition steps from a stepwise mechanism to a concerted process during the oxa-cyclization reaction. The crucial factors responsible for the excellent enantioselectivity and enhanced reaction efficiency brought by Dpp-imine have been extracted from the calculation model. These mechanistic experiments and DFT calculation data clearly disclose and prove the powerful and interesting functions of the Dpp-imine coligand, which also direct a novel application of this type of active imine as useful ligands in metal-catalyzed asymmetric reactions.

Abstract
Methods that enable the rapid construction of multiple C–C bonds using a single catalyst with high diastereo- and enantio-control are particularly valuable in organic synthesis. Here, we report an Ir-catalyzed double allylic alkylation reaction in which bisnucleophilic cyanoacetate reacted successionally with electrophilic π-allyl-Ir species, producing various pseudo-C2-symmetrical cyanoacetate derivatives in high yield with excellent stereocontrol. More challenging sequential allylic alkylation/allylic alkylation with two distinct allylic carbonates that can deliver the corresponding products bearing three contiguous tertiary–quaternary–tertiary stereocenters was also developed by using a modified catalytic system, which is revealed to be associated with the quasi-dynamic kinetic resolution of the initially formed diastereomeric monoallylation intermediates. Notably, stereodivergence for this sequential process depending on a single iridium catalyst was successfully realized, and up to six stereoisomers could be predictably prepared by combining the appropriate enantiomer of the chiral ligand for the iridium catalyst and adjusting the adding sequence of two distinct allylic precursors. Ir-catalyzed asymmetric double AAA reaction of cyanoacetate was developed, affording cyanoacetate derivatives in high yield with excellent stereocontrol. Notably, quasi-DKR is involved in the sequential protocol with two distinct allylic carbonates.![]()

Abstract
The chiral keto-substituted propargylamines are an essential class of multifunctional compounds in the field of organic and pharmaceutical synthesis and have attracted considerable attention, but the related synthetic approaches remain limited. Therefore, a concise and efficient method for the enantioselective synthesis of β-keto propargylamines via chiral phosphoric acid-catalyzed asymmetric Mannich reaction between β-keto acids and C-alkynyl N-Boc N,O-acetals as easily available C-alkynyl imine precursors has been demonstrated here, affording a broad scope of β-keto N-Boc-propargylamines in high yields (up to 97%) with generally high enantioselectivities (up to 97 : 3 er).

Abstract
Organocatalysts are abundantly used for various transformations, particularly to obtain highly enantio- and diastereomeric pure products by controlling the stereochemistry. These applications of organocatalysts have been the topic of several reviews. Organocatalysts have emerged as one of the very essential areas of research due to their mild reaction conditions, cost-effective nature, non-toxicity, and environmentally benign approach that obviates the need for transition metal catalysts and other toxic reagents. Various types of organocatalysts including amine catalysts, Brønsted acids, and Lewis bases such as N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) catalysts, cinchona alkaloids, 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP), and hydrogen bond-donating catalysts, have gained renewed interest because of their regioselectivity. In this review, we present recent advances in regiodivergent reactions that are governed by organocatalysts. Additionally, we briefly discuss the reaction pathways of achieving regiodivergent products by changes in conditions such as solvents, additives, or the temperature.
