Abstract
The (S)-(+)-1-(4-bromo-phen-yl)-N-[(4-methoxyphen-yl)methyl-idene]ethyl-amine ligand, C16H16BrNO, (I), was synthesized through the reaction of 4-meth-oxy-anisaldehyde with (S)-(-)-1-(4-bromo-phen-yl)ethyl-amine. It crystallizes in the ortho-rhom-bic space group P212121 belonging to the Sohncke group, featuring a single mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. The refinement converged successfully, achieving an R factor of 0.0508. The PdII com-plex bis-{(S)-(+)-1-(4-bromo-phen-yl)-N-[(4-methoxyphen-yl)methyl-idene]ethyl-amine-κN}di-chlorido-pal-ladium(II), [PdCl2(C16H16BrNO)2], (II), crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21 belonging to the Sohncke group, with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The central atom is tetra-coordinated by two N atoms and two Cl atoms, resulting in a square-planar configuration. The imine moieties exhibit a trans configuration around the PdII centre, with average Cl-Pd-N angles of approximately 89.95 and 90°. The average distances within the palladium com-plex for the two mol-ecules are ∼2.031 Å for Pd-N and ∼2.309 Å for Pd-Cl.

Abstract
A series of amine bisphenol (ABP) pro-ligands featuring amino acid ester pendant arms were prepared. Optimisation of the synthetic method allowed the facile incorporation of naturally occurring, chiral amino acids into the ABP scaffold with minimal racemisation. Reaction of the pro-ligands (LH2) with Pd(OAc)2, in the presence of amines, led to the formation of complexes with an unprecedented pincer-like O,N,O coordination mode around the PdII centre. The complexations in the presence of trialkylamines (NR3) afforded a mixture of LPdNR3 and LPdNHR2 species. The latter was shown to form via an ambient-temperature C-N cleavage involving unstable Pd(OAc)2(NHR2)2 intermediates. Using pyridine as base eliminated this dealkylation and resulted in the exclusive formation of LPd(py) complexes in high yields. In total, seven novel PdII ABP complexes were prepared, exhibiting distorted square-planar geometries with the asymmetric ligand moieties orientated towards the metal centre. The air- and moisture-stable LPd(py) complexes were successfully employed as catalysts in two types of C-C coupling reactions. The Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of 4'-bromoacetophenone and phenylboronic acid reached high yields (up to 81%), while a scope of further alkyl bromides was also efficiently converted using low catalyst loadings (1 mol%) and mild temperatures (40 °C). Furthermore, a Pd-pyridine complex achieved high activity in the Mizoroki-Heck coupling of styrene and 4'-bromoacetophenone.

Abstract
The synthesis of water-soluble rhodium(I) salicylaldiminato and salicylhydrazonic complexes has been achieved employing two preparative routes. Schiff base condensation between 6A-deoxy-6A-amino-β-CD or 6A-deoxy-6A-hydrazino-β-CD and 5-sodiosulfonato-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde (sulfonated salicylaldehyde) (1) or 5-sodiosulfonato-3-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde (sulfonated

Bu-salicylaldehyde) (2) led to the formation of the corresponding imine or hydrazone ligands (3, 4, 5 and 6). Reaction of [Rh(COD)2
+BF4
−] with these new ligands in an alkaline solution formed the corresponding rhodium complexes quantitatively. These rhodium(I) complexes could also be prepared in one-pot by mixing, in stoichiometric proportions, the modified β-CDs with the sulfonated salicylaldehyde and with the rhodium precursor in an alkaline solution at room temperature. These rhodium complexes were applied as catalysts in the aqueous biphasic hydroformylation of 1-decene as a model reaction.

Abstract
A facile access to novel 1-oxa- and 1-aza-flavonyl-4-methyl-1H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazin-2(4H)-ones using microwave assisted Suzuki coupling of bromo flavones with boronic acids using a novel catalytic system (C) under aerobic condition is reported.

Abstract
The Brønsted acid–base character of bis(iminopyrrolylmethyl)amine was shown through the X-ray structures of palladium complexes. The bischelated palladium complex is fluxional as studied by the VT 1H NMR method and effectively catalyzes Suzuki reactions in water.

Abstract
In the title complex, [Pd(C16H16NO2)2]·CHCl3, the Pd(II) cation lies on an inversion center. One Cl atom of the CHCl3 solvent mol-ecule lies on a twofold axis and the C-H group is disordered with equal occupancies about this axis with the other Cl atom in a general position with full occupancy. The Pd(II) cation is four-coordinate and adopts a square-planar geometry via coordination of the imine N and phenolic O atoms of the two bidentate Schiff base anions. The N and O atoms of these ligands are mutually trans. The plane of the benzene ring makes a dihedral angle of 73.52 (10)° with that of the meth-oxy-phenolate ring. In the crystal, mol-ecules of the Pd(II) complex are arranged into sheets parallel to the ac plane, and the chloro-form solvent mol-ecules are located in the inter-stitial areas between the complex mol-ecules. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π inter-actions stabilize the packing.

Abstract
A series of new polyfluorinated palladium(II) complexes (7-12) of N-polyfluorophenyl-3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylaldimines (1-6) have been synthesized. They were characterized by analytical, spectroscopic (UV/Vis, IR, (1)H NMR, and ESR), electrochemical methods and their chemical oxidation and hydrogenation catalytic activity were studied. The X-ray crystal structure analysis of bis[N-(3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylidene)-F5Ph]Pd(II) (12) revealed a slightly distorted square-planar trans-PdN2O2 geometry around the palladium center. The UV/Vis and EPR results indicate that chemical oxidation of 7-10 by Ce(IV) in CHCl3 generates relatively stable Pd(II)-phenoxyl radical complexes (g=2.0044-2.0062). The results of chemical and electrochemical oxidation of 1-12, as well as the catalytic activity of 7-10 complexes in the hydrogenation of PhNO2 were presented.
