Abstract
Much experimental work has been contributed to all-metal σ, π and δ-aromaticity among transition metals, semimetallics and other metals in the past two decades. Before our focused investigations on the properties of triangular and sandwich-shaped all-metal aromatics, A. I. Boldyrev presented general discussions on the concepts of all-metal σ-aromaticity and σ-antiaromaticity for metallo-clusters. Schleyer illustrated that Nucleus-Independent Chemical Shifts (NICS) were among the most authoritative criteria for aromaticity. Ugalde discussed the earlier developments of all-metal aromatic compounds with all possible shapes. Besides the theoretical predictions, many stable all-metal aromatic trinuclear clusters have been isolated as the metallic analogues of either the σ-aromatic molecule's [H3]+ ion or the π-aromatic molecule's [C3H3]+ ion. Different from Hoffman's opinion on all-metal aromaticity, triangular all-metal aromatics were found to hold great potential in applications in coordination chemistry, catalysis, and material science. Triangular all-metal aromatics, which were theoretically proved to conform to the Hückel (4n + 2) rule and possess the smallest aromatic ring, could also play roles as stable ligands during the formation of all-metal sandwiches. The triangular and sandwich-shaped all-metal aromatics have not yet been specifically summarized despite their diversity of existence, puissant developments and various interesting applications. These findings are different from the public opinion that all-metal aromatics would be limited to further applications due to their overstated difficulties in synthesis and uncertain stabilities. Our review will specifically focus on the summarization of theoretical predictions, feasible syntheses and isolations, and multiple applications of triangular and sandwich shaped all-metal aromatics. The appropriateness and necessities of this review will emphasize and disseminate their importance and applications forcefully and in a timely manner.

Polymerization Isomerism in Co-M (M = Cu, Ag, Au) Carbonyl Clusters: Synthesis, Structures and Computational Investigation. Molecules 2021; 26:1529. Abstract
The reaction of [Co(CO)4]- (1) with M(I) compounds (M = Cu, Ag, Au) was reinvestigated unraveling an unprecedented case of polymerization isomerism. Thus, as previously reported, the trinuclear clusters [M{Co(CO)4}2]- (M = Cu, 2; Ag, 3; Au, 4) were obtained by reacting 1 with M(I) in a 2:1 molar ratio. Their molecular structures were corroborated by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SC-XRD) on isomorphous [NEt4][M{Co(CO)4}2] salts. [NEt4](3)represented the first structural characterization of 3. More interestingly, changing the crystallization conditions of solutions of 3, the hexanuclear cluster [Ag2{Co(CO)4}4]2- (5) was obtained in the solid state instead of 3. Its molecular structure was determined by SC-XRD as Na2(5)·C4H6O2, [PPN]2(5)·C5H12 (PPN = N(PPh3)2]+), [NBu4]2(5) and [NMe4]2(5) salts. 5 may be viewed as a dimer of 3 and, thus, it represents a rare case of polymerization isomerism (that is, two compounds having the same elemental composition but different molecular weights) in cluster chemistry. The phenomenon was further studied in solution by IR and ESI-MS measurements and theoretically investigated by computational methods. Both experimental evidence and density functional theory (DFT) calculations clearly pointed out that the dimerization process occurs in the solid state only in the case of Ag, whereas Cu and Au related species exist only as monomers.

Abstract
We report the triply bridging coordination of thiophene and selenophene to a trinuclear metal cluster site. The triply bridging coordination of selenophene at a Pd3 site forms a unique spiro-type Pd5 cluster. Furthermore, either thiophene or selenophene is accommodated stably at a Pd3 site supported by a backside μ3 -cyclooctatetraene ligand through the face-capping μ3 -coordination. The Pd3 site supported by the cyclooctatetraene ligand showed higher binding affinity of benzene over thiophene, although a Pd2 site strongly favors thiophene over benzene.

Abstract
This article describes a rare case of cluster core isomerism in a large molecular organometallic nanocluster. In particular, two isomers of the [HCo15Pd9C3(CO)38]2- nanocluster, referred as TP-Pd9 and Oh-Pd9, have been structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray crystallography as their [NMe3(CH2Ph)]2[HCo15Pd9C3(CO)38]·CH2Cl2 (ca. 1:1 TP-Pd9 and Oh-Pd9 mixture), [NMe3(CH2Ph)]2[HCo15Pd9C3(CO)38]·2CH2Cl2 (mainly TP-Pd9), [NEt3(CH2Ph)]2[HCo15Pd9C3(CO)38]·CH2Cl2 (mainly TP-Pd9), [MePPh3]2[HCo15Pd9C3(CO)38]·2.5CH2Cl2 (mainly TP-Pd9), and [MePPh3]2[HCo15Pd9C3(CO)38] (Oh-Pd9) salts. The cluster core of TP-Pd9 is a tricapped trigonal prism, whereas this is a tricapped octahedron in Oh-Pd9. The presence in the solid state of the Oh-Pd9 or TP-Pd9 isomers depends on the cation employed and/or the number and type of co-crystallized solvent molecules. Often, mixtures of the two isomers, within the same single crystal or as mixtures of different crystals within the same crystallization batch, are obtained. Structural isomerism in organometallic nanoclusters is discussed and compared to that in Au-thiolate nanoclusters.

Abstract
This paper focuses on ferrocene-based secondary diphosphines of the type [Fe{η5-C5H4(PHR)}2] with P-substituents of distinctly different steric and electronic properties, namely methyl, neopentyl (Np), tert-butyl, phenyl and 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl (XyF). The reaction of [Fe{η5-C5H4(PHPh)}2] (H21a) and [Fe{η5-C5H4(PHt-Bu)}2] (H21b) with n-BuLi in the presence of TMEDA afforded lithium diphosphides of the type [Li2(μ-1)(TMEDA)2], which contain a cyclic non-planar Li2P2 core. The analogous reactions of [Fe{η5-C5H4(PHMe)}2] (H21c) and [Fe{η5-C5H4(PHNp)}2] (H21d) furnished dimeric aggregates exhibiting a ladder-type Li4P4 motif, viz. [Li4(μ-1c)2(TMEDA)3] and [Li2(μ-1d)(TMEDA)]2. H21e (R = XyF) did not afford a stable lithium diphosphide. A Brønsted metathesis with Zr(NMe2)4 was possible with the aryl-substituted compounds H21a and H21e, leading to products of the type [{Zr(NMe2)3}2(μ-1)]. In contrast, the alkyl-substituted congeners H21b-H21d were inert towards Zr(NMe2)4. The reaction of [Fe{η5-C5H4(PHR)}2] with nickelocene afforded intractable mixtures of numerous products in the case of H21c and H21e. In the other three cases, compounds of the type [(NiCp)2(μ-1)] were isolated. For H21b and H21d a two-stepped reaction via a phosphino-phosphido intermediate of the type [NiCp(H1)] was observed, which could be isolated and fully characterised in the case of [NiCp(H1b)].

Abstract
Permutational isomers of trigonal bipyramidal [W2RhIr2(CO)9(η(5)-C5H5)2(η(5)-C5HMe4)] result from competitive capping of either a W2Ir or a WIr2 face of the tetrahedral cluster [W2Ir2(CO)10(η(5)-C5 H5)2] from its reaction with [Rh(CO)2(η(5)-C5HMe4)]. The permutational isomers slowly interconvert in solution by a cluster metal vertex exchange that is proposed to proceed by Rh-Ir and Rh-W bond cleavage and reformation, and via the intermediacy of an edge-bridged tetrahedral transition state. The permutational isomers display differing chemical and physical properties: replacement of CO by PPh3 occurs at one permutational isomer only, while the isomers display distinct optical power limiting behavior.
