Abstract
Tetrazoles and their derivatives possess various biological activities, such as antibacterial, anti-fungal, and other activities. However, these compounds may induce specific cumulative and toxic effects in living organisms. Therefore, quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) models were constructed to study the acute oral toxicity of tetrazoles in rats and mice. The toxicity data of 111 tetrazole compounds were collected using the ChemIDplus, ChEMBL and ECHA databases as response variables, while the PaDEL-descriptor generated the 2D descriptors as independent variables. The models were developed and validated following the OECD guidelines by the DTC-QSAR tool. Three QSAR models were successfully established for the oral routes of rat and mouse and the intraperitoneal route of mouse, respectively. The scatter plots showed high consistency between the training and test data sets. All the models successfully met the external and internal validation criteria. Most of the descriptors kept in the final models exhibited positive correlations with toxicity, whereas only 6 descriptors exhibited negative associations. Several chemicals were identified as response or structural outliers, based on the standardized residuals and leverage values. In conclusion, the findings of this investigation demonstrate that the proposed QSAR models hold promise in forecasting the acute toxicity of recently developed or synthesized tetrazole compounds, thereby mitigating potential risks to human health and the environment.

Abstract
Dichloro(2,2'-bipyridine)copper was synthesized by reacting copper dichloride with bypyridine, and its behavior, in combination with methylaluminoxane (MAO), in the polymerization of butadiene, isoprene, 2,3-dimethyl-1,3 butadiene, and 3-methyl-1,3-pentadiene was examined. The purpose of this study is to find catalytic systems that are more sustainable than those currently used for the polymerization of butadiene and isoprene (e.g., Co and Ni), but that are comparable in terms of catalytic activity and selectivity. Predominantly, syndiotactic 1,2 polybutadiene, crystalline syndiotactic 3,4 polyisoprene, crystalline syndiotactic 1,2 poly(3-methyl-1,3-pentadiene), and crystalline cis-1,4 poly(2,3-dimethyl-1,3-butadiene) were obtained in a manner similar to that observed with the analogous iron complex. As far as we know, the investigated catalytic system represents the first example of a copper-based catalyst in the field of stereospecific polymerization. Given the great availability of copper, its extremely low toxicity (and therefore high sustainability), and the similarity of its behavior to that of iron, the result obtained seems to us of considerable interest and worthy of further investigation.

Abstract
Ruthenium-based metallotherapeutics is an interesting alternative for platinum complexes acting as anticancer agents after the entry of KP1019, NAMI-A, and TLD1339 in clinical trials. Herein, we have synthesized three new arene ruthenium(II)-tetrazole complexes viz. [Ru2(η6-p-cymene)2(2-pytz)2Cl2] (1), [Ru2(η6-p-cymene)2(3-pytz)Cl3] (2), [Ru2(η6-p-cymene)2(4-pytz)Cl3] (3) [2-pytzH = 2-pyridyl tetrazole; 3-pytzH = 3-pyridyl tetrazole; 4-pytzH = 4-pyridyl tetrazole] which have been characterized by different analytical techniques. To aid the understanding of the complex formation, reactions of the arene ruthenium(II) dimer with tetrazoles were investigated using the first principles-based Density Functional Theory (DFT) B3LYP method. Electronic structures, equilibrium geometries of the reactants and products with the first-order saddle points, reactions mechanism, the changes of enthalpy (∆H) and free energy (∆G), chemical stability, and reaction barriers of the complexes were computed using the B3LYP DFT approach. The in vitro cytotoxicity of these complexes was investigated by MTT assay on different cancer cell lines which reveal complex 2 as the most significant cytotoxic agent toward the HeLa cell line. The complexes have also shown a strong binding affinity towards CT-DNA and albumin proteins (HSA and BSA) as analyzed through spectroscopic techniques. Investigation of the mechanism of cell death by complex 2 was further performed by various staining techniques, flow cytometry, and gene expression analysis by RT-PCR. Inhibition of cell migration study has been also revealed the possibility of complex 2 to act as a prospective anti-metastatic agent.

Abstract
AbstractA novel series of mixed-ligand complexes of the type, [M(L1)(L2)Cl]·2H2O [L1 = 2-(α-methyl salicylidene hydrazine) benzimidazole (primary ligand), L2 = 2,2′-bipyridine (bipy; secondary ligand), M = Co(ii), Ni(ii), Cu(ii) and Zn(ii)], were based on the physicoanalytical studies. The spectroscopic findings revealed tridentate nature of the Schiff base ligand (L1) and its coordination to the metal ions via azomethine nitrogen, ring nitrogen and the deprotonated phenolic oxygen atoms. Furthermore, the synthesized compounds were evaluated for antimicrobial activity against Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi microorganisms. In addition, molecular docking studies were carried out against Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (PDB ID: 4ZS6) and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 main protease (PDB ID: 6W63).
