Abstract
ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE Qilong capsule (QC) is developed from the traditional Chinese medicine formula Buyang Huanwu Decoction, which has been clinically used to invigorate Qi and promote blood circulation to eliminate blood stasis. Myocardial ischemia‒reperfusion injury (MIRI) can be attributed to Qi deficiency and blood stasis. However, the effects of QC on MIRI remain unclear. AIM OF THE STUDY This study aimed to investigate the protective effect and possible mechanism of QC on platelet function in MIRI rats. MATERIALS AND METHODS The left anterior descending artery of adult Sprague‒Dawley rats was ligated for 30 min and then reperfused for 120 min with or without QC treatment. Then, the whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, coagulation, platelet adhesion rate, platelet aggregation, and platelet release factors were evaluated. Platelet CD36 and its downstream signaling pathway-related proteins were detected by western blotting. Furthermore, the active components of QC and the molecular mechanism by which QC regulates platelet function were assessed via molecular docking, platelet aggregation tests in vitro and BLI analysis. RESULTS We found that QC significantly reduced the whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, platelet adhesion rate, and platelet aggregation induced by ADP or AA in rats with MIRI. The inhibition of platelet activation by QC was associated with reduced levels of β-TG, PF-4, P-selectin and PAF. Mechanistically, QC effectively attenuated the expression of platelet CD36 and thus inhibited the activation of Src, ERK5, and p38. The active components of QC apparently suppressed platelet aggregation in vitro and regulated the CD36 signaling pathway. CONCLUSIONS QC improves MIRI-induced hemorheological disorders, which might be partly attributed to the inhibition of platelet activation via CD36-mediated platelet signaling pathways.

Abstract
Existing effective treatments for ischemic stroke restore blood supply to the ischemic region using thrombolysis or mechanical removal of clot. However, it is increasingly recognized that successful removal of occlusive thrombus from the large artery-recanalization, may not always be accompanied by successful restoration of blood flow to the downstream tissues-reperfusion. Ultimately, brain tissue survival depends on cerebral perfusion, and a functioning microcirculation. Because capillary diameter is often equal to or smaller than an erythrocyte, microcirculation is largely dependent on erythrocyte rheological (hemorheological) factors such as whole blood viscosity (WBV). Several studies in the past have demonstrated elevated WBV in stroke compared with healthy controls. Also, elevated WBV has shown to be an independent risk factor for stroke. Elevated WBV leads to endothelial dysfunction, decreases nitric oxide-dependent flow-mediated vasodilation, and promotes hemostatic alterations/thrombosis, all leading to microcirculation sludging. Compromised microcirculation further leads to decreased cerebral perfusion. Hence, modulating WBV through pharmacological agents might be beneficial to improve cerebral perfusion in stroke. This review discusses the effect of elevated WBV on endothelial function, hemostatic alterations, and thrombosis leading to reduced cerebral perfusion in stroke.

Abstract
BACKGROUND İncreased whole blood viscosity (WBV) is associated with increased infarct area, impaired microvascular circulation and mortality in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). OBJECTIVES We aimed to analyze the association between the WBV and thrombus burden (TB) in STEMI patients. METHODS This cross-sectional study included 167 STEMI patients who received primary percutaneous coronary intervention. WBV values were assessed using hematocrit and total protein values, and low shear rate(LSR) and high shear rate(HSR) were calculated. Angiographic TB was assessed according to the definition of the Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) study group. The cases were dichotomized into low TB (grade 1-3) (n = 87) and high TB (grade 4-5) (n = 80) groups. RESULTS The mean HSR and LSR values of the high TB group were significantly increased compared to the low TB group (p < 0.001, for each). In ROC analysis,for prediction of TB, a cut-off value of 3.83 WBV for HSR had a 71% sensitivity and a 60.7% specificity, and a cut-off value of 21 WBV for LSR had a 70% sensitivity and 59.9% specificity (p < 0.001,for each). Multivariate regression analysis showed that both HSR (OR = 2.408;p=0.020) and LSR (OR = 1.055;p=0.021) were independent predictors for high TB. CONCLUSION İncreased WBV was an independent predictor for the presence of high TB in patients with STEMI.

Abstract
The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effects and safety of sarpogrelate hydrochloride (sarpogrelate) in patients with elevated blood viscosity (BV), after 12 and 24 weeks of twice (BID) or thrice (TID) daily administrations of sarpogrelate (100 mg). The participants received oral sarpogrelate administration for 24 weeks and visited the hospital every 12 ± 2 week for blood viscosity measurements at shear rates of 5 and 300 s-1. The BV measured at shear rate of 5 s-1 in male patients decreased significantly from 18.91 cP at the baseline to 16.3 cP after 24 weeks of sarpogrelate administration (13.6 % drop, p < 0.001). The BV measured at 5 s-1 in female decreased more significantly from 17.5 cP at the baseline to 13.4 cP after 24 weeks of sarpogrelate administration (23.0 % drop, p < 0.001). In summary, sarpogrelate may be considered as a possible therapeutic option for improving BV in patients with elevated blood viscosity. In particular, the reduction of the low-shear BV with the help of a viscosity-reducing drug such as sarpogrelate may be considered as a potentially new pharmacological tool for microvascular disease.

Abstract
It has been documented that Ca2+ overload and increased production of reactive oxygen species play a significant role in reperfusion injury (RI) of cardiomyocytes. Ischemia/reperfusion induces cell death as a result of necrosis, necroptosis, apoptosis, and possibly autophagy, pyroptosis and ferroptosis. It has also been demonstrated that the NLRP3 inflammasome is involved in RI of the heart. An increase in adrenergic system activity during the restoration of coronary perfusion negatively affected cardiac resistance to RI. Toll-like receptors are involved in RI of the heart. Angiotensin II and endothelin-1 aggravated ischemic/reperfusion injury of the heart. Activation of neutrophils, monocytes, CD4+ T-cells and platelets contributes to cardiac ischemia/reperfusion injury. Our review outlines the role of these factors in reperfusion cardiac injury.

Abstract
Whole blood viscosity (WBV) is the intrinsic resistance to flow developed due to the frictional force between adjacent layers of flowing blood. Elevated WBV is an independent risk factor for stroke. Poor microcirculation due to elevated WBV can prevent adequate perfusion of the brain and might act as an important secondary factor for hypoperfusion in acute ischaemic stroke. In the present study, we examined the association of WBV with basal cerebral perfusion assessed by CT perfusion in acute ischaemic stroke. Confirmed acute ischemic stroke patients (n = 82) presenting in hours were recruited from the single centre. Patients underwent baseline multimodal CT (non-contrast CT, CT angiography and CT perfusion). Where clinically warranted, patients also underwent follow-up DWI. WBV was measured in duplicate within 2 h after sampling from 5-mL EDTA blood sample. WBV was significantly correlated with CT perfusion parameters such as perfusion lesion volume, ischemic core volume and mismatch ratio; DWI volume and baseline NIHSS. In a multivariate linear regression model, WBV significantly predicted acute perfusion lesion volume, core volume and mismatch ratio after adjusting for the effect of occlusion site and collateral status. Association of WBV with hypoperfusion (increased perfusion lesion volume, ischaemic core volume and mismatch ratio) suggest the role of erythrocyte rheology in cerebral haemodynamic of acute ischemic stroke. The present findings open new possibilities for therapeutic strategies targeting erythrocyte rheology to improve cerebral microcirculation in stroke.

Abstract
Background: This study aimed to analyze the associations between no-reflow (NR) phenomenon development and whole-blood viscosity in patients with ST-elevated myocardial infarction. Methods: A total of 217 patients with ST-elevated myocardial infarction were included. whole-blood viscosity values were assessed using hematocrit and total protein values, and low shear rate (LSR) and high shear rate (HSR) were calculated. Results: The average LSR and HSR values of the study group were significantly higher than the control group (p < 0.001). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that both HSR (odds ratio: 4.957; p < 0.001) and LSR (odds ratio: 1.114; p < 0.001) were independent predictors for NR development. Conclusion: This study found that increased blood viscosity was an independent predictor for NR development.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Despite improvements in treatment of ST-segment myocardial infarction (STEMI), thrombus formation in the left ventricle is still a concerning complication that may lead to systemic thromboembolism and stroke. OBJECTIVES To evaluate the predictive value of estimated whole blood viscosity (WBV) for left ventricular thrombus development in patients surviving an acute anterior myocardial infarction (AAMI).MATERIALS \& METHODS:Seven hundred eighty AAMI patients who were treated percutaneously were enrolled consecutively. Serial echocardiographic examinations were performed within 24h of admission, before hospital discharge, and at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months following hospital discharge. WBV was calculated according to de Simones formula. RESULTS One hundred patients (12.8%) developed thrombus formation within one year following AAMI. Patients with left ventricular thrombus (LVT) had significantly higher WBV values. Supramedian values of WBV at both low (0.5 sec-1) and high (208 sec-1) shear rates were found to be an independent predictor of LVT development. CONCLUSION As an easily accessible parameter, WBV might be a useful predictor of LVT formation within one year following acute anterior myocardial infarction.

Abstract
Aim: This study sought to investigate the predictive value of whole blood viscosity (WBV) to identify high-risk patients who will develop an apical thrombus during the acute phase of anterior transmural infarction. Materials & methods: Consecutive 1726 patients with first acute anterior myocardial infarction were evaluated. WBV was calculated according to the Simone’s formula. Results: Patients with an apical thrombus had prolonged pain to balloon time, higher rate of post-PCI thrombolysis in myocardial infarction flow ≤1 and significantly higher mean WBV values at both shear rates than those without an apical thrombus. Conclusion: WBV values at both shear rates were found to be significant and independent predictors for early LV apical thrombus formation complicating a first-ever anterior wall myocardial infarction.

Abstract
Aim: This study sought to investigate the predictive value of estimated whole blood viscosity (WBV) for stent thrombosis (ST) in ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention. Materials & methods: A total of 1720 STEMI patients treated with primary percutaneous coronary intervention were followed up for median 36.0 months. WBV was calculated according to the Simone's formula. Results: During follow-up period, 119 patients were diagnosed as 'definite' ST. The rate of ST was significantly higher in the high WBV group. In multivariate analysis, adjusted for other factors, higher WBV significantly increased risk of ST at both shear rates. Conclusion: Being an easily accessible and costless parameter, WBV seems to be an emerging predictor of ST in patients with STEMI.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Abnormal blood viscosity favors atherosclerosis owing to endothelial dysfunction and changes in shear stress. Its effect on coronary microvasculature during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is still unknown. We aimed to investigate the role of hemorheological parameters in the incidence of microvascular obstruction (MVO) and the periprocedural necrosis after primary or elective PCI, and secondarily, we evaluated their prognostic significance. MATERIALS AND METHODS We enrolled 25 patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), 30 patients with non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), and 30 patients with stable angina (SA) undergoing PCI. MVO in patients with STEMI and periprocedural necrosis in patients with NSTEMI and those with SA were assessed using angiographic/electrocardiographic and laboratory methods, respectively. Hemorheological profile included blood viscosity (η) at shear rates 200 s and 1 s, the erythrocyte aggregation index (η1/η200), and plasma viscosity. Major adverse cardiovascular events occurrence was evaluated at follow-up. RESULTS Patients with STEMI experiencing angiographic MVO (28%) had higher η200 (5.42±1.28 vs. 3.98±1.22 mPa[BULLET OPERATOR]s; P=0.015). Similarly, patients with STEMI experiencing electrocardiographic MVO (56%) had higher η200 (4.58±0.36 vs. 3.94±0.19 mPa[BULLET OPERATOR]s; P<0.001). Among patients with SA and patients with NSTEMI, those experiencing periprocedural necrosis (23.3%) had higher η200 (5.30±0.86 vs. 4.37±0.88 mPa[BULLET OPERATOR]s; P=0.001), η1 (19.52±9.62 vs. 13.29±7.65 mPa[BULLET OPERATOR]s; P=0.015) and η1/η200 values (3.64±1.50 vs. 2.72±0.92; P=0.007). These significant differences were maintained after adjustment for age, sex, and cardiovascular risk factors. At follow-up (30±6 months), 25 (29.4%) patients presented major adverse cardiovascular events, and they had higher η200 (5.18±1.00 vs. 4.25±1.01 mPa[BULLET OPERATOR]s; P<0.001). CONCLUSION In patients undergoing either urgent or elective PCI, hemorheological parameters might contribute to myocardial injury and, if furtherly confirmed, to an unfavorable outcome.

Abstract
Considering the role of hemorheology in coronary circulation, we studied blood viscosity in patients with juvenile myocardial infarction. We examined whole blood viscosity at high shear rate using the cone-on-plate viscosimeter Wells-Brookfield ½ LVT and at low shear rate employing a viscometer Contraves LS30 in 120 patients (aged <46 years) with myocardial infarction, at the initial stage and subsequently 3 and 12 months after. At the initial stage, patients had an increased whole blood viscosity in comparison to normal controls. This hemorheological profile was not influenced by the cardiovascular risk factors, nor by the extent of coronary lesions, even if some differences were evident between patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-STEMI (NSTEMI). The blood viscosity pattern at the initial stage did not influence recurring ischemic events or the onset of heart failure during an 18 months’ follow-up. The neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio did not affect the blood viscosity pattern. We reevaluated 83 patients 3 months after and 70 patients 12 months after the acute coronary syndrome, and we found that the hemorheological parameters were still altered in comparison to normal controls at both times. We observed an impairment of the hemorheological pattern in young patients with myocardial infarction, partially influenced by the infarction type (STEMI and NSTEMI) and persisting in the long term.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES We designed a pilot study to evaluate safety and feasibility of an inexpensive and simple approach to intracoronary hemodilution during primary angioplasty (PPCI) to reduce reperfusion injury. INTRODUCTION Early revascularization in acute myocardial infarction decreases infarct size and improves outcomes. However, abrupt restoration of coronary flow results in myocardial reperfusion injury and increased final infarct size. Dilution of coronary blood during revascularization may help reduce this damage. If proved effective, such an approach would need to be simple and suitable for widespread adoption. METHODS Ten patients presenting with STEMI underwent intracoronary dilution with room temperature Hartmann's solution delivered through the guiding catheter during primary angioplasty (PPCI). Infusion of perfusate began prior to crossing the occluded artery with the guidewire, continuing until 10 min after completion of the balloon and stenting procedure. Infusion was briefly interrupted for contrast injection and pressure monitoring. The outcome measures were safety, including intracoronary temperature reduction and volume of intracoronary perfusate infused, and technical feasibility. RESULTS There were no significant symptomatic, hemodynamic, ECG ST/T segment or rhythm changes observed during perfusate administration. The median (interquartile range) volume of perfusate administered was 550 mL (350-725 mL) and the median intracoronary temperature reduction observed was 3.4°Celsius. Myocardial salvage was 0.54 (0.43-0.65). CONCLUSIONS Transcatheter intracoronary hemodilution with room temperature perfusate during PPCI is feasible and appears safe. Such a strategy is simple and inexpensive, with potential to be widely applied. Further mechanistic and subsequent outcome powered studies are required to evaluate whether this strategy can reduce reperfusion injury in STEMI.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Red blood cell distribution width (RDW) is a novel independent marker of cardiovascular disease including heart failure, coronary artery disease and myocardial ischaemia. The aim of the study was to investigate a possible relationship between RDW and myocardial scar burden, as assessed by a MIBI viability scan. A secondary objective was to assess whether there is an association between RDW and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). METHODS The study comprised 123 subjects with ischaemic heart disease who underwent a myocardial viability scan between June 2008 and July 2014. Haemoglobin, mean corpuscular volume, RDW, platelet count, mean platelet volume (MPV), estimated glomerular filtration rate, fasting blood glucose, liver and lipid profiles were evaluated for all patients. The extent of myocardial scarring and LVEF were noted. Data were analysed using IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0. Univariate followed by multivariate analyses were performed to assess for independent predictors of myocardial scarring and LVEF, respectively. RESULTS The mean age of the study population was 63.5 years; most of the subjects were men. The median LVEF was 31% and median percentage of myocardial scarring was 8.7%. Multivariate analyses revealed that RDW, HDL-cholesterol and alanine transaminase were independent predictors of myocardial scarring while RDW, MPV, LDL-cholesterol and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase were independent predictors of LVEF. CONCLUSIONS Increased RDW is an independent predictor both of myocardial scar burden and of impaired left ventricular function in subjects with coronary artery disease.

Abstract
Background: We assessed the predictive value of estimated whole blood viscosity (WBV) in-hospital and long-term cardiovascular outcomes in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Materials & methods: One thousand eight hundred and thirty-five STEMI patients were followed up for median 34.6 months. WBV was calculated consistent with the de Simone’s formula. Results: In-hospital and long-term major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) demonstrated an incremental trend in ascending order of WBV tertiles at low and high shear rate. Kaplan–Meier analysis showed a higher occurrence of long-term MACE in third WBV tertiles compared with other tertiles. Conclusion: WBV seems to be a feasible prognostic indicator of short- and long-term cardiovascular adverse events in patients with STEMI. As an easily available parameter, WBV may be utilized in identifying high-risk patients for subsequent MACE.

Abstract
Blood and plasma viscosity are the major factors affecting blood flow and normal circulation. Whole blood viscosity is mainly affected by plasma viscosity, red blood cell deformability/aggregation and hematocrit, and other physiological factors. Thirty patients (twenty males + ten females) with age range 50-65 years, normotensive with history of cerebrovascular disorders, were selected according to the American Heart Stroke Association. Blood viscosity and other rheological parameters were measured after two-day abstinence from any medications. Dual effects of vinpocetine and pyritinol exhibit significant effects on all hemorheological parameters (P < 0.05), especially on low shear whole blood viscosity (P < 0.01), but they produced insignificant effects on total serum protein and high shear whole blood viscosity (P > 0.05). Therefore, joint effects of vinpocetine and pyritinol improve blood and plasma viscosity in patients with cerebrovascular disorders.

Abstract
Background and Objectives We investigated the effects of commonly used contrast media (CM) on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in isolated rat hearts. Subjects and Methods Isolated rat hearts were subjected to 30 minutes of regional ischemia and 2 hours of reperfusion. The following CM (1 mL/1 L Krebs-Henseleit buffer) were randomly perfused for 15 minutes beginning 5 minutes before reperfusion and ending 10 minutes after reperfusion: iohexol (n=8), iopromide (n=8), ioversol (n=8), iomeprol (n=8), iopamidol (n=7), ioxaglate (n=8), and iodixanol (n=7). The effects of a direct bolus injection of undiluted iohexol, iopromide, or ioxaglate (each n=6) via the aortic root immediately prior to reperfusion were also evaluated. The area of necrosis, expressed as the percentage of the area at risk (AN/AR), and cardiodynamic variables were measured. Results The AN/AR of the control and experimental groups in the order described in methods was 33.7±6.4%, 30.3±7.4%, 34.7±12.6%, 29.2±10.2%, 20.9±7.6%, 22.6±8.7%, 18.8±7.9%, and 19.9±11.4%, respectively. Groups that received iomeprol and ioxaglate exhibited significantly decreased AN/AR values compared to those of control hearts (p=0.042 and p=0.013). No significant differences in the AN/AR were observed between control hearts and the groups injected with a single bolus of CM. No significant hemodynamic changes were noted after reperfusion among the groups. Conclusion The overall effects of the CM on coronary reperfusion were not deleterious, and better effects were noted in two CM groups. However, it is unclear whether this result was attributed to a specific physiochemical property of the CM.

Abstract
Although coronary risk factors promote the formation of atherosclerotic plaque containing activated platelets and inflammatory leukocytes, and play a pivotal role in the development of coronary artery diseases (CAD), the hemorheological effects of these risk factors on circulating intact erythrocytes, a major component of whole blood cells, are poorly understood. Therefore, this study aimed to quantify erythrocyte deformability in patients with coronary risk factors, and enrolled 320 consecutive cardiac outpatients including 33 patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (AF). Patients with acute coronary syndrome or valvular AF were excluded. Demographic variables obtained by medical records were correlated with erythrocyte deformability investigated by our highly sensitive and reproducible filtration technique. Among demographic variables, triglyceride (p = 0.004), HbA1c (p = 0.014) and body weight (p = 0.020) showed significant inverse correlation to the erythrocyte deformability. This deformability was not associated with types of CAD (old myocardial infarction vs. stable angina) or modality of treatment (percutaneous intervention vs. coronary artery bypass grafting). Unexpectedly, stepwise multiple regression analysis demonstrated that nonvalvular AF was the most significant contributor to the impaired erythrocyte deformability (p = 0.002). Hypertension and dyslipidemia are more prevalent in the AF patients (p < 0.001), and the erythrocyte deformability was found to be impaired synergistically and significantly (p < 0.001) during the stepwise accumulation of the coronary risk factors in addition to AF. In conclusion coronary risk factors synergistically impair the erythrocyte deformability, which may play an important role in critically stenotic coronary arteries. Since the impairment of intact erythrocyte deformability is mostly associated with nonvalvular AF, this common arrhythmia may reflect the coronary risk accumulation.

Abstract
Renewed interest in the age-old concept of “bloodletting”, a therapeutic approach practiced until as recently as the 19th century, has been stimulated by the knowledge that blood loss, such as following regular donation, is associated with significant reductions in key hemorheological variables, including whole blood viscosity (WBV), plasma viscosity, hematocrit and fibrinogen. An elevated WBV appears to be both a strong predictor of cardiovascular disease and an important factor in the development of atherosclerosis. Elevated WBV through wall shear stress is the most direct physiological parameter that influences the rupture and erosion of vulnerable plaques. In addition to WBV reduction, phlebotomy may reduce an individual’s cardiovascular risk through reductions in excessive iron, oxidative stress and inflammation. Reflecting these findings, blood donation in males has shown significant drops in the incidence of cardiovascular events, as well as in procedures such as percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty and coronary artery bypass grafting. Collectively, the available data on the benefits of therapeutic phlebotomy point to the importance of monitoring WBV as part of a cardiovascular risk factor, along with other risk-modifying measures, whenever an increased cardiovascular risk is detected. The development of a scanning capillary tube viscometer allows the measurement of WBV in a clinical setting, which can prove to be valuable in providing an early warning sign of an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

Abstract
Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TC) is characterized by transient hypokinesis of the left ventricular apex or midventricular segments with coronary arteries without significant stenosis. It is often associated with emotional or physical stress; however, its pathophysiology is still unclear. In the present study, we analyzed the alterations in blood viscosity and markers of endothelial damage induced by sympathetic stimulation in patients with previous TC. Seventeen women (mean age 71 years) with previous TC, included and investigated in the TC Tuscany Registry, were compared to a control group of 8 age- and risk factor-matched women with chest pain and coronary arteries free of stenosis. All subjects underwent the cold pressor test (CPT). Before and after the CPT, the hemorheologic parameters (whole blood viscosity at 0.512 s(-1) and 94.5 s(-1), plasma viscosity, erythrocyte deformability index, and erythrocyte aggregation), catecholamines, plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1), and von Willebrand factor levels were assessed. The patients with TC had significantly greater baseline PAI-1 levels (p <0.01) and lower erythrocyte deformability index values (p <0.01). After CPT, both the patients with TC and the controls had a significant increase in several hemorheologic parameters, catecholamines, and von Willebrand factor levels and a decrease in erythrocyte deformability index. However, the PAI-1 levels were significantly increased only in the patients with TC. Compared to the controls, the patients with TC had significantly greater values of whole blood viscosity at 94.5 s(-1) (p <0.05), PAI-1 (p <0.01), von Willebrand factor (p <0.05) and lower erythrocyte deformability index values (p <0.01) after CPT. In conclusion, the results of the present study suggest that in patients with TC, the alterations in erythrocyte membranes and endothelial integrity induced by catecholaminergic storm could determine microvascular hypoperfusion, possibly favoring the occurrence of left ventricular ballooning.
