Abstract
Sarcoidosis is a multifaceted systemic disease of uncertain aetiology, pathologically characterised by non-caseating granulomas. Typical symptoms include coughing, dyspnoea, chest pain and lesions affecting the eyes or skin. Cutaneous sarcoidosis frequently accompanies the involvement of other organs, but isolated cutaneous presentations are also observed. We present a case of cutaneous sarcoidosis in a 31-year-old Indian male. The diagnosis of sarcoidosis was confirmed by a skin biopsy, which showed that there is a naked, non-caseating granuloma filling the upper and deep dermis, formed of epithelioid histiocytes and multinucleated giant cells. Treatment with the intralesional steroid triamcinolone acetonide (5 mg/mL) monthly is considered. We hope to raise doctors' awareness of the various forms of sarcoidosis, consequently improving diagnostic skills and patient treatment.

Abstract
The presentation of sarcoidosis varies depending on the organs involved. Cutaneous sarcoidosis usually presents with other organ involvement, but isolated presentation is possible. However, diagnosing isolated cutaneous sarcoidosis can be challenging in resource-poor countries, particularly where sarcoidosis is relatively uncommon, since cutaneous sarcoidosis usually does not cause troublesome symptoms. We present a case of cutaneous sarcoidosis in an elderly female who had been suffering from skin lesions for nine years. The diagnosis was made after the appearance of lung involvement, which raised the suspicion of sarcoidosis and prompted a skin biopsy. The patient was then treated with systemic steroids and methotrexate, and her lesions improved shortly thereafter. This case highlights the importance of considering sarcoidosis as a possible cause of undiagnosed, refractory cutaneous lesions.

Abstract
Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disease that affects a variety of organs. Although the etiology has not been fully understood, it is thought that diverse genetic and environmental factors interact with the immune system to develop granulomas. The incidence and death rate of sarcoidosis vary according to race. This study was conducted to identify the epidemiology of sarcoidosis in Korea and reveal its association with comorbid diseases such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and dyslipidemia in a population-based database. We retrospectively analyzed Korean National Health Insurance claims data between 2006 and 2017. The average annual incidence from 2006 to 2017 was 0.82/100 000 person-years and the all-cause death rate in sarcoidosis patients was 9.25/1000 cases. The incidence of sarcoidosis was higher in patients with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and dyslipidemia than patients without those underlying diseases. Sarcoidosis patients with diabetes mellitus and hypertension showed an increased death rate after adjusting the confounding factors (hazard ratio [95% confidence interval], 1.66 [1.23-2.23] and 1.73 [1.29-2.31] respectively), however, patients with dyslipidemia showed a low death rate (HR = 0.64 [0.46-0.88]). In conclusion, we found that sarcoidosis is associated with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and dyslipidemia and that diabetes mellitus and hypertension increase the risk of death in sarcoidosis patients. Extra caution is needed in sarcoidosis patients who already have these metabolic diseases.

Abstract
Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous multisystem disease of unclear etiology. Among the many local lesions of different localization, lesions of the central and peripheral nervous system (neurosarcoidosis) are distinguished as particularly unfavorable manifestations of the disease. Only in rare cases, neurosarcoidosis can manifest as isolated or primary. Biopsy remains the gold standard for the diagnosis of neurosarcoidosis. However, significant difficulties remain in verifying the diagnosis, especially with an isolated variant of the lesion A rare case of isolated neurosarcoidosis with a primary focus in the right hemisphere of the brain is described. The data of histological, histochemical and immunohistochemical examination of the surgical material are presented.

Abstract
Sarcoidosis is a systemic disease of an unknown cause that affects multiple organs, most commonly lungs, intrathoracic lymph nodes, eyes, and skin, which accounts between 20% and 25%. However, cutaneous sarcoidosis can present without any systemic involvement in 25% of cases. We present a case of a 53-year-old female patient with cutaneous sarcoidosis with no lung involvement. The patient presented to the family medicine department with non-itchy, tender, erythematous papules occurring at the dorsal part of the hands and the right foot for three months. Skin punch biopsy demonstrated multiple dermal-based nodules consisting of non-necrotizing granulomata. Serum angiotensin-converting enzyme level and a chest radiograph were normal and not consistent with pulmonary sarcoidosis. There are different cutaneous manifestations of cutaneous sarcoidosis and early identification helps in early intervention.
