Abstract
Sustainability, as a trend of social development and the embodiment of corporate social responsibility, has begun to receive more attention. To achieve this goal, sustainable supplier selection (SSS) and order allocation (OA) are seen as the crucial activities in corporate management. In the process of SSS, the psychological behavior of decision-makers (DMs) could play a critical role in the evaluation results. Therefore, introducing it into the decision-making process may lead to decision in line with the actual situation. In the uncertain multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) problem described by probability linguistic term sets (PLTS), the DMs can evaluate the criteria of each supplier based on his own preference and hesitation, which is useful to avoid the loss of information. For this reason, this study develops a novel multi-criteria group decision-making combined with fuzzy multi-objective optimization (MCGDM-FMOO) model for SSS/OA problems by considering the triple bottom line (TBL) in which includes economic, environmental and social factors. The proposed method includes four stages. (1) the best-worst method (BWM) and entropy weight method are utilized to assign the weights of criteria to obtain the comprehensive weight. According to the output weights, the an acronym for interactive and multi-criteria decision-making in Portugese (TODIM) approach is applied to rank the suppliers under PLTS environment; (2) a FMOO model that can effectively deal with uncertainties and dynamic nature of parameter is formulated for allocating optimal order quantities; (3) two novel approaches are utilized to solve the FMOO model in order to obtain the richer Pareto frontier; and (4) the final OA solution is achieved by technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method. Finally, the validity and practicability of proposed MCGDM-FMOO model are verified by an example and comparative analysis with other classical MCGDM methods.

Abstract
This paper proposes an optimization strategy for the best selection process of suppliers. Based on recent literature reviews, the paper assumes a selection of commonly used variables for selecting suppliers, and using Logistic regression algorithm technique, to build a model of optimization that learns from customer’s requirements and supplier’s data, and then make predictions and recommendations for best suppliers. The supplier selection process can quickly at times, turn into a complex task for decision-makers, to dealing with the growing number of supplier base list. But Logistics regression technique makes the process easier in the ability to efficiently fetch customer’s requirements with the entire supplier base list and determine by predicting a list of potential suppliers meeting the actual requirements. The selected suppliers make up the recommendation list for the best suppliers for the requirements. And finally, graphical representations are given to showcase the framework analysis, variable selection, and other illustrations about the model analysis

Abstract
PurposeThe purpose of this study to introduce a new extended framework to evaluate and rank the sustainable suppliers based on the different sustainable criteria in the manufacturing companies using a new fuzzy decision-making approach.Design/methodology/approachThis paper introduces a new approach using decision-making and Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFSs) to assess the best sustainable supplier. To doing so, this study integrated the entropy, stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (SWARA) and weighted aggregates sum product assessment (WASPAS) methods under PFSs. To calculate the criteria weights, the combined entropy-SWARA method is used to compute the objective weight and subjective weight, respectively. Furthermore, the WASPAS model is utilized to rank sustainable supplier alternatives.FindingsThe results of the analysis found that occupational health and safety systems had the highest rank among other criteria, followed by green product and eco-design, green R&D and innovation and green technology. In addition, the findings of the paper demonstrated that the extended approach was efficient and useful for selecting and evaluating the best sustainable supplier in the manufacturing companies.Originality/valueRecent years have witnessed a number of studies aimed at incorporating the sustainability standards into the supplier selection problem; however, only a little research has been conducted on developing a fuzzy method for decision-making in a manner to assess and choose suppliers with high sustainability in the insurance market, encompassing the three above-mentioned sustainability criteria.

Abstract
A product is composed of several components, and the number, type, and combination of components plays a crucial role in the process of product design. It is difficult to get an optimized scheme in a short time. In order to improve the efficiency of product design, a product design scheme recommendation algorithm based on multi-way tree and learning-to-rank is proposed. Firstly, the product solution model, whose nodes are obtained by mapping the product attributes, is generated according to the design process, and the alternative scheme is obtained by traversing the multi-tree model. Secondly, considering users’ cognition of the importance of each product attribute, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is applied to assign weight to the product attribute, and then similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method based on AHP is used to rank alternative solutions. Furthermore, according to users’ preference for parts’ supplier information, the learning-to-rank algorithm is used to optimize the list of alternative schemes twice. Finally, taking the design of the hoist as an example, it was verified that the proposed method had higher efficiency and better recommendation effect than the traditional parametric design method.

Abstract
PurposeThis study aims to create a model for defining the best supplier for a company and allocating order that considers sustainability criteria beyond the traditional selection criteria.Design/methodology/approachIn this paper, sustainable supplier Selection and order allocation (SSS and OA) problem is managed based on a multiobjective linear programming (MOLP) model that incorporates sustainability dimensions. First, an interval type-2 fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) method is applied for the main criteria and subcriteria to determine the weight of the selected criteria. Then, these values are used to convert the proposed MOLP model into a single-objective model.FindingsThe economic criterion (0.438) was the most important criterion for SSS in the agricultural machinery sector, followed by the social criterion (0.333) and the environmental criterion (0.229).Practical implicationsThe results show that the proposed framework can be utilized by the agricultural machinery industry for SSS and OA.Originality/valueThe proposed framework provides to develop an integrated model by interval type-2 fuzzy sets for SSS and OA, taking into account the relationships between qualitative and quantitative evaluation criteria with different priorities. The validity of the developed model is confirmed by a case study of the agricultural machinery industry in Turkey.

Abstract
Purpose
With the increasing competition among the industries, they remain under pressure as how to select the best set of suppliers for the competitive edge. Often, it has been challenging to develop an effective set of suppliers due to varied and asymmetric mode of criteria. The purpose of this paper is to develop a responsive chain under original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
Design/methodology/approach
This study proposes a responsive chain under a two-echelon system (TES) of OEM, which needs to collaborate with a set of suppliers at each echelon through an integrated methodology of AHP and TOPSIS. According to the OEM’s criteria, demands and suppliers’ capacity vary with time, therefore they are not static for a longer period. Hence, supplier selection (SS) problem possesses dynamicity in real practice. For this, MILP is used for finding optimal order quantities based on the optimal ranking at each echelon in the multi-period scenario. Subsequently, sensitivity analysis (SA) is conducted through Taguchi method of parameter design (TMPD) to achieve an optimal ranking in the TES.
Findings
This study suggests optimal criteria’s weight, percentage contribution, and flexibility for the suppliers and manufacturers involving through maximum demand strategy at each echelon of OEM. It also provides robust group of suppliers and manufacturers in the TES through optimal ranking and simultaneously in the order allocations. Furthermore, it restricts the number of suppliers and manufactures at each echelon through proposed methodology to obtain the solution in a very short running time.
Originality/value
To validate this model, a real data set for the case of chain conveyor company is used. This adopted methodology can suggest the organization that how the approach should be implemented.

Abstract
Due to the adaptation of recent pollution mitigation and justification policies there has been a growing trend for electricity generation from various renewable resources. The selection of the optimal renewable energy technology could be measured as a complex problem due to the complication of forthcoming circumstances in any country. Consequently, the proposed similar complex assessment problem can be tackled with the support of Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) methods. The current research study investigates a technology selection problem by proposing a hybrid MADM approach based on the Step-Wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) approach with a hierarchical arrangement combined with the Multi-Objective Optimization on the basis of Ratio Analysis plus the full MULTIplicative form (MULTIMOORA). Ultimately, a conceptual case study regarding the selection of the optimal renewable energy technology based on a conceptual development project in Iran has been examined by the proposed combinative MADM methodology.

Abstract
In this paper, we propose (a) fuzzy multiple objective linear programming models for the Supplier Selection and Order Allocation (SSOA) problem under fuzzy demand and volume/quantity discount environments, and (b) an analysis of how to select the suitable aggregation operator based on the risk preferences of decision makers. The aggregation operators under consideration are additive, maximin, and augmented operators while the risk preferences are classified as risk-averse, risk-taking, and risk-neutral ones. The suitabilities of aggregation operators and risk preferences of decision makers are analyzed by a statistical technique, considering the average and the lowest satisfaction levels of the supplier selection criteria, based on numerical examples. Analysis results reveal that decision makers with different risk preferences will prefer only some aggregation operators and models. Moreover, a particular aggregation operator and model may generate a dominated solution for some situations. Thus, it should be applied with caution.
