Distributed disturbance observer-based nonfragile bipartite consensus of nonlinear multiagent systems with multiple time-varying delays

The paper concentrates on the issue of distributed disturbance observer-based nonfragile bipartite consensus within nonlinear delayed multiagent systems, encompassing both leaderless and leader-following structures. The delays under consideration are nonuniform, manifesting in the state, the nonlinearity, and the communication processes. To suppress the external disturbances and the observer gain perturbations, distributed nonfragile disturbance observers pertaining to relative output and communication delays are developed to estimate the external disturbances for each agent. Employing the developed disturbance observer, distributed control protocols for nonfragile bipartite consensus are constructed incorporating states, estimated disturbances, and communication delays. These protocols can ensure bipartite consensus, compensate for external disturbances, and tolerate uncertainties in control gain. New augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functions are formulated by introducing the triple integral term and the augmented vector. The new bipartite consensus criteria for the studied multiagent systems are established with less conservatism by employing the techniques on second-order Bessel-Legendre integral inequality, reciprocally convex combination, and free weight matrix. Finally, numerical simulations and comparisons are performed for both leaderless and leader-following scenarios, thereby validating and enhancing the theoretical outcomes.

Distributed Model-Free Sliding-Mode Predictive Control of Discrete-Time Second-Order Nonlinear Multiagent Systems With Delays

In this article, the tracking problem of networked discrete-time second-order nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs) is studied. First, for the MASs without communication delay, a novel method, called distributed model-free sliding-mode control algorithm is proposed, which can make the system converge quickly without the accurate model. Furthermore, for the MASs with delay, in order to eliminate the influence of time delay on the system, a distributed model-free sliding-mode predictive control strategy based on time-delay compensation technology is proposed, which can actively compensate for time delay while ensuring system stability and consensus tracking performance requirements. Both the simulation and experiment results reveal the superiority of the proposed methods.

Dissipativity-Based Consensus Tracking of Singular Multiagent Systems With Switching Topologies and Communication Delays

This article, based on dissipativity theory, aims to tackle the consensus tracking issue for Lipschitz nonlinear singular multiagent systems (MASs) with switching topologies and communication delays. Rooted at the leader node, a directed spanning tree is assumed to be contained in the union of all possible interaction graphs. Within the framework of topology switching controlled by a Markov chain, communication delays encountered in the data transmission process are reasonably considered to be time-varying and dependent on Markovian jump modes. By using tools from the stochastic Lyapunov functional technique, algebraic graph theory, and strict (Q,S,R)-α -dissipativity analysis, the consensus controller collecting delayed in-neighboring agents' information is designed to ensure stochastic admissibility and strict dissipativity of the resulting consensus error system. The theoretical analysis is validated by numerical simulations.

Multi-leader-follower group consensus of stochastic time-delay multi-agent systems subject to Markov switching topology

The multi-leader-follower group consensus issue of a class of stochastic time-delay multi-agent systems subject to Markov switching topology is investigated. The purpose is to determine a distributed control protocol to make sure that the followers' states converge in mean square to a convex hull generated by the leaders' states. Through a model transformation, the problem is transformed into a mean-square stability issue of a new system. Then, an easy-to-check sufficient condition for the solvability of the multi-leader-follower group consensus issue is proposed by utilizing the Lyapunov stability theory, graph theory, as well as several inequality techniques. It is shown that the required feedback gain can be acquired once the condition is satisfied. Finally, an example is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the control protocol.
