Abstract
Organic sulfur gases (COS, CS2 and CH3SH) are widely present in reducing industrial off-gases, and these substances pose difficulties for the recovery of carbon monoxide and other gases. The reaction pathways and reaction mechanisms of organic sulfur on different catalyst surfaces have yet to be fully summarized. The literature shows that many factors, such as catalyst synthesis method, loaded metal composition, number of surface hydroxyl groups, number of acid-base sites and methods of surface modification, have important effects on the catalytic performance of metal catalysts. Therefore, this paper presents a comprehensive review of the research on the application of catalysts such as zeolites, metal oxides, carbon-based materials, and hydrotalcite-like derivatives in the field of organic sulfur removal. Future research prospects are summarized, more in situ characterization experiments and theoretical calculations are needed for the catalytic decomposition of methanethiol to analyze the coke generation pathways at the microscopic level, while the simultaneous removal of multiple organic sulfur gases needs to be focused on. Based on previous catalyst research, we propose possible innovations in catalyst design, desulfurization technology and organic sulfur resource utilization technology.

Ozone Catalytic Oxidation for Gaseous Dimethyl Sulfide Removal by Using Vacuum-Ultra-Violet Lamp and Impregnated Activated Carbon. ENERGIES 2022. Abstract
Gaseous sulfur compounds are emitted from many facilities, such as wastewater facilities or biomass power plants, due to the decay of organic compounds. Gaseous dimethyl sulfide removal by ozone catalytic oxidation was investigated in this study. A Vacuum-Ultra-Violet (VUV) xenon excimer lamp of 172 nm was used for ozone generation without NOx generation, and activated carbon impregnated with iodic acid and H2SO4 was utilized as a catalyst. Performance assessment of dimethyl sulfide removal ability was carried out by a dynamic adsorption experiment. Empty-Bed-Contact-Time (EBCT), superficial velocity, concentration of dimethyl sulfide, temperature and humidity were set at 0.48 s, 0.15 m/s, 3.0 ppm, 25 °C and 45%, respectively. Without ozone addition, the adsorption capacity of impregnated activated carbon was 0.01 kg/kg. When ozone of 7.5 ppm was added, the adsorption capacity of impregnated activated carbon was increased to 0.15 kg/kg. Methane sulfonic acid, a reaction product of dimethyl sulfide and ozone, was detected from the activated carbon. The results suggest that the VUV and activated carbon impregnated with iodic acid and H2SO4 are workable for ozone catalytic oxidation for gas treatments.

Abstract
The Fe-Si/MnZn(Fe2O4)2 composite powders are synthetized by means of the mechanical milling, and Fe-Si/MnZn(Fe2O4)2 soft magnetic composites are prepared by spark plasma sintering (SPS). The impact of milling time on particle size, phase structure and magnetic properties of the investigative core-shell structure powders along with that of sintering temperature on microstructure and magnetic properties of FeSi-MnZn(Fe2O4)2 soft magnetic composite are studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The experimental results demonstrate a layer of MnZn(Fe2O4)2 forming a coating on the surface of Fe-Si powder after mechanical milling, and the soft magnetic composites exhibiting excellent magnetic performance at 900 °C: 212.49 emu/g for saturation magnetization, with 6.89 Oe for coercivity, 3 × 10−4 Ω.m for electrical resistivity and stable amplitude permeability and low core loss over a wide frequency range. Therefore, SPS offers a convenient and swift way to enhance performance of soft magnetic composites using magnetic materials as insulting layer.
