Abstract
Aerogel-based composites, renowned for their three-dimensional (3D) network architecture, are gaining increasing attention as lightweight electromagnetic (EM) wave absorbers. However, attaining high reflection loss, broad effective absorption bandwidth (EAB), and ultrathin thickness concurrently presents a formidable challenge, owing to the stringent demands for precise structural regulation and incorporation of magnetic/dielectric multicomponents with synergistic loss mechanisms within the 3D networks. In this study, we successfully synthesized a 3D hierarchical porous Fe3O4/MoS2/rGO/Ti3C2Tx MXene (FMGM) composite aerogel via directional freezing and subsequent heat treatment processes. Owing to their ingenious structure and multicomponent design, the FMGM aerogels, featured with abundant heterogeneous interface structure and magnetic/dielectric synergism, show exceptional impedance matching characteristics and diverse EM wave absorption mechanisms. After optimization, the prepared ultralight (6.4 mg cm-3) FMGM-2 aerogel exhibits outstanding EM wave absorption performance, achieving a minimal reflection loss of -66.92 dB at a thickness of 3.61 mm and an EAB of 6.08 GHz corresponding to the thickness of 2.3 mm, outperforming most of the previously reported aerogel-based absorbing materials. This research presents an effective strategy for fabricating lightweight, ultrathin, highly efficient, and broad band EM wave absorption materials.

Abstract
2D layered metallic graphite composites are promising electromagnetic wave absorption materials (EWAMs) for their combined properties of abundant interlayer free spaces, rich metallic polarized sites, and high conductivity, but the controllable synthesis remains rather challenging. Herein, a dual-step redox engineering strategy is developed by employing cobalt boron imidazolate framework (Co-BIF) to construct 2D CoNi-alloy embedded B, N-doped carbon layers (2D-CNC) as a promising EWAM. In the first step, a chemical etching oxidation process on Co-BIF is used to obtain an optimized 2D-CoNi-layered double hydroxide (2D-CoNi-LDH) intermediate and in the second, high-temperature calcination reduction is implemented to modify graphitization of the degree of the 2D-CNC. The obtained sample delivers superior reflection loss (RLmin) of -60.1 dB and wide effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 6.24 GHz. The synergy mechanisms of interfacial/dipole polarization and magnetic coupling are in-depth evidenced by the hologram and Lorentz electron microscopy, revealing its significant contribution on multireflection and impedance matching. Further theoretical evaluation by COMSOL simulation in different fields based on the dynamic loss process toward the test ring reveals the in situ EW attenuation process. This work presents a strategy to develop multifunctional light-weight infrared stealthy aerogel with superior pressure-resistant, anti-corrosion, and heat-insulating properties for future applications.

Abstract
Considering the serious electromagnetic wave (EMW) pollution problems and complex application condition, there is a pressing need to amalgamate multiple functionalities within a single substance. However, the effective integration of diverse functions into designed EMW absorption materials still faces the huge challenges. Herein, reduced graphene oxide/carbon foams (RGO/CFs) with two-dimensional/three-dimensional (2D/3D) van der Waals (vdWs) heterostructures were meticulously engineered and synthesized utilizing an efficient methodology involving freeze-drying, immersing absorption, secondary freeze-drying, followed by carbonization treatment. Thanks to their excellent linkage effect of amplified dielectric loss and optimized impedance matching, the designed 2D/3D RGO/CFs vdWs heterostructures demonstrated commendable EMW absorption performances, achieving a broad absorption bandwidth of 6.2 GHz and a reflection loss of - 50.58 dB with the low matching thicknesses. Furthermore, the obtained 2D/3D RGO/CFs vdWs heterostructures also displayed the significant radar stealth properties, good corrosion resistance performances as well as outstanding thermal insulation capabilities, displaying the great potential in complex and variable environments. Accordingly, this work not only demonstrated a straightforward method for fabricating 2D/3D vdWs heterostructures, but also outlined a powerful mixed-dimensional assembly strategy for engineering multifunctional foams for electromagnetic protection, aerospace and other complex conditions.

Abstract
Carbon-based magnetic metal composites derived from metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are promising materials for the preparation of broadband microwave absorbers. In this work, the leaf-like co-doped porous carbon/carbon nanotube heterostructure was obtained using ZIF-L@ZIF-67 as precursor. The number of carbon nanotubes can be controlled by varying the amount of ZIF-67, thus regulating the dielectric constant of the sample. An optimum reflection loss of -42.2 dB is attained when ZIF-67 is added at 2 mmol. An effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 4.8 GHz is achieved with a thickness of 2.2 mm and a filler weight of 12%. The excellent microwave absorption (MA) ability is generated from the mesopore structure, uniform heterogeneous interfaces, and high conduction loss. The work offers useful guidelines to devise and prepare such nanostructured materials for MA materials.

Abstract
Electromagnetic (EM) pollution can disrupt the functioning of advanced electronic devices, hence it's necessary to design EM wave absorbers with high-level absorption capabilities. The Ti3C2Tx (MXene) is classified as a potential EM absorbing material; nevertheless, the lack of magnetic loss mechanism leads to its inadequate EM absorbing performance. On this basis, a novel composite design with promising EM absorption properties is hypothesized to be the integration of few-layer MXene and heterogeneous magnetic MOF derivatives (Fe3O4/C) with complementary advantages. Herein, we synthesized two-dimensional (2D) interfacial-polarization-enhanced MXene hybrid (Fe3O4/C/MXene) by electrostatic assembly. It is notable that the interfacial polarization is realized by adding a small amount of magnetic Fe3O4/C. Furthermore, the Fe3O4/C/ MXene demonstrates an astonishing effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 10.7 GHz and an excellent EM wave absorption performance (RLmin) of -66.9 dB. Moreover, the radar cross section (RCS) of Fe3O4/C/MXene is lower than -15.1 dB m2 from -90° to 90° with a minimum RCS value of -52.6 dB m2 at 32°. In addition, the significant attenuation of the EM wave is due to the synergistic effect of improved impedance matching, dielectric loss, and magnetic loss. Thus, the magnetized Fe3O4/C/MXene hybrid is expected to emerge as a strong contender for high-performance EM wave absorbers.

Abstract
Dimensional design and heterogeneous interface engineering are promising approaches for the fabrication of superior absorbers with high loss performance and a wide effective bandwidth. Therein, ZnO nanorods were successfully synthesized and combined with CoNi nanosheets by hydrothermal method, and PDA was then encapsulated on the surface of the material to form a unique one dimensional (1D) core-sheath structure. The extensive defects and residual functional groups are present in the calcined material, as well as the multiple heterogeneous interfaces enhance the dielectric loss induced by polarization. Simultaneously, the 1D structure wrapped with PDA offers an efficient pathway for electron transfer, hence facilitating the enhancement of conductive loss. In addition, the CoNi-LDHs sheet layer stacked on the surface not only causes multiple scattering and reflections of electromagnetic waves, but also provides magnetic losses to optimize the impedance matching. Finally, radar cross section (RCS) simulations further reveal that the composite can dissipate electromagnetic energy in practical applications. Consequently, the 1D multilayer ZnO@CoNi/C composite exhibits an optimal reflection loss of -55 dB with a thickness of 2.3 mm and an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) value of 6.8 GHz when the filling ratio is only 20 wt%. In summary, this paper provides a new direction for the fabrication of 1D multilayer nonhomogeneous interfacial absorbers with excellent performance.

Abstract
Structural engineering is definitely a promising and effective approach to develop excellent microwave absorbing materials with quantities of advantages. Especially, when carbon materials act as the constituents, the fabricated absorbers are available to gain more prominent absorption performance. However, extra high conductivities and the widespread aggregations and stacking of low-dimensional carbon materials always detrimentally affect the impedance matching and weaken the attenuation capacity, inevitably confining their further absorption applications. Herein, by introducing the amorphous chiral carbon nanocoils to overcome the challenges and achieve the strategies of structure optimization and multicomponent recombination, the reduced graphene oxide/carbon nanocoil/carbon nanotube aerogels were successfully synthesized by a successive hydrothermal method and freeze-drying strategy. The as-obtained aerogels possess a porous architecture that contribute to the extraordinary impedance matching and multiple reflections, which integrate the multifarious dielectric loss mechanisms of diverse carbon materials simultaneously. Benefiting from the tricomponent synergistic effect, the ultralight aerogels reach an outstanding microwave absorption property with an extremely low filler content of only 6 wt %. This work provides a helpful approach to design hierarchical absorbers consisted by multidimensional carbon materials for fantastic microwave absorption.
