Abstract
In the present study, ZnMnFeO4 and CoMnFeO4 tri-metallic spinel oxide nanoparticles (NPs) were provided using hydrothermal methods. The nanoparticles have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and electrochemical techniques. A reliable and reproducible electrochemical sensor based on ZnMnFeO4/CoMnFeO4/FTO was fabricated for rapid detection and highly sensitive determination of hydrazine by the DPV technique. It is observed that the modified electrode causes a sharp growth in the oxidation peak current and a decrease in the potential for oxidation, contrary to the bare electrode. The cyclic voltammetry technique showed that there is high electrocatalytic activity and excellent sensitivity in the suggested sensor for hydrazine oxidation. Under optimal experimental conditions, the DPV method was used for constructing the calibration curve, and a linear range of 1.23 × 10-6 M to 1.8 × 10-4 M with a limit of detection of 0.82 ± 0.09 μM was obtained. The obtained results indicate that ZnMnFeO4/CoMnFeO4/FTO nano sensors exhibit pleasant stability, reproducibility, and repeatability in hydrazine measurements. In addition, the suggested sensor was efficiently employed to ascertain the hydrazine in diverse samples of cigarette tobacco.

Abstract
The data concerning the synthesis and physicochemical characteristics of specific functional biomaterials-biopolymer-immobilized matrix systems based on gelatin as an array and chemical compounds, which include atoms of various metal elements-are systematized and discussed. The features of this biopolymer which determine the specific properties of the immobilized matrix systems formed by it and their reactivity, are noted. Data on gelatin-immobilized systems in which immobilized substances are elemental metals and coordination compounds formed as a result of redox processes, nucleophilic/electrophilic substitution reactions, and self-assembly (template synthesis), are presented. The possibilities of the practical use of metal-containing gelatin-immobilized systems are promising for the future; in particular, their potential in medicine and pharmacology as a vehicle for "targeted" drug delivery to various internal organs/tissues of the body, and, also, as potential biosensors is noted.

Abstract
The synthesis of graphene materials is typically carried out by oxidizing graphite to graphite oxide followed by a reduction process. Numerous methods exist for both the oxidation and reduction steps, which causes unpredictable contamination from metallic impurities into the final material. These impurities are known to have considerable impact on the properties of graphene materials. We synthesized several reduced graphene oxides from extremely pure graphite using several popular oxidation and reduction methods and tracked the concentrations of metallic impurities at each stage of synthesis. We show that different combinations of oxidation and reduction introduce varying types as well as amounts of metallic elements into the graphene materials, and their origin can be traced to impurities within the chemical reagents used during synthesis. These metallic impurities are able to alter the graphene materials' electrochemical properties significantly and have wide-reaching implications on the potential applications of graphene materials.

Abstract
AbstractRoom temperature 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetraflouroborate ([BMIM][BF4]) ionic liquid was employed for dispersion of multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and the formation of nanocomposite on the surface of a carbon-ceramic electrode. The surface of the modified electrode was characterized using scanning electron microscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The modified electrode exhibited excellent electrochemical activity to oxidation of dopamine (DA); whereas electro oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA) was not seen and electro oxidation of uric acid (UA) appeared at a more positive potential than DA. The multi walled carbon nanotube-ionic liquid nanocomposite modified carbon-ceramic electrode was used for the selective determination of DA in the presence of high levels of AA and UA using differential pulse voltammetry. The calibration curve for DA was linear in the range of 3.00 to 130 µM with the detection limit (S/N=3) of 0.87 µM. The present electrode was successfully applied to the determination of DA in some commercial pharmaceutical samples and human blood serum.

Abstract
A novel gold nanoparticle-modified graphite pencil electrode (AuNP-GPE) is prepared just by immersing a bare GPE in AuNP solution, followed by heating for 15 min. The bare and modified GPEs are characterized by FE-SEM imaging and cyclic voltammetry. The AuNP-GPEs showed excellent electrocatalytic activities with respect to hydrazine oxidation, with good reproducibility. To reduce the quantification and detection limits, and increase the hydrazine sensitivity, the pH and square wave voltammetry parameters are optimized. A square wave voltammetry study as a function of the hydrazine concentration showed that the AuNP-GPE detector's quantification limit was 100 nmol L(-1) hydrazine, much lower than the value obtained using amperometry (10 µmol L(-1)). The limits of detection (at 3σ) for hydrazine sensing at AuNP-GPEs using square wave voltammetry and amperometry were 42 nmol L(-1) and 3.07 µmol L(-1). Finally, the modified electrode was used to determine the hydrazine concentration in drinking water, and satisfactory results are obtained. This simple, rapid, low-cost method for fabricating a modified electrode is an attractive approach to the development of new sensors.

Abstract
In the present paper, the use of a carbon paste electrode modified by quinizarine (QZ) and TiO(2) nanoparticles prepared by a simple and rapid method was described. The heterogeneous electron-transfer properties of quinizarine coupled to TiO(2) nanoparticles at a carbon paste electrode was investigated using cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry in aqueous buffer solutions. The modified electrode showed excellent character for the electrocatalytic oxidization of hydrazine (HZ). Differential pulse voltammetric peak currents of HZ increased linearly with their concentrations at the range of 0.5 µM to 1900.0 µM and the detection limit (2σ) was determined to be 77 nM. Finally, this method was used for the determination of HZ in water samples, using a standard addition method.

Abstract
A hybrid polynuclear nickel hexacyanoferrate (NiHCFe)/graphitized mesoporous carbon- (GMC-) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE/NiHCFe@GMC) has been prepared by a sequential method using electrodeposited Ni on a GMC-modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE/Ni@GMC) as a template and [Fe(CN)6]3−as anin-situchemical precipitant, without any additional interlinking agent. Physicochemical and electrochemical characterizations reveal the presence of NiHCFe units within the porous sites of the GMC. The GCE/NiHCFe@GMC electrode showed highly stable and well-defined redox behaviors with surface-confined electron-transfer mechanism in a pH 7 phosphate buffer solution. The GCE/NiHCFe@GMC showed about 20 times enhancement in hydrazine oxidation peak current along with 500 mV reduction in overpotential over the corresponding unmodified GCE/GMC. Hydrazine calibration plots by CV and amperometrici-tmethods were linear up to 1 mM and 220 μM with current sensitivity values of 15.86 μA/mM and 7.37 nA/μM, respectively. Calculated detection limit by the amperometrici-tmethod was 23.2 nM. The hybrid GCE/NiHCFe@GMC exhibits remarkable tolerance to important industrial and biological interferents. Finally determination of hydrazine in cigarette smoke sample was successfully demonstrated.
