Abstract
Malachite green (MG) is a synthetic poisonous organic compound that has been banned in many countries as a veterinary drug for aquaculture. An efficient, fast and sensitive method is urgently needed for monitoring the illegal use of malachite green (MG) in aquaculture. In this study, a novel ratiometric fluorescence immunoassay was established. Nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots were used as ratiometric fluorescent probes with a fluorescence peak at 450 nm. Horseradish peroxidase was employed to convert o-phenylenediamine to 2,3-diaminophenazine, with a new fluorescence peak at 580 nm and a strong absorption at 420 nm. The inner filter effect between N-CQD fluorescence and DAP absorption was identified. It allows for the ratiometric detection of MG using a fluorescent immunoassay. The results demonstrated a linear ratiometric fluorescence response for MG between 0.1 and 12.8 ng·mL-1. The limit of detection of this method was verified to be 0.097 μg·kg-1 with recoveries ranging from 81.88 to 108%, and the relative standard deviations were below 3%. Furthermore, this method exhibited acceptable consistency with the LC-MS/MS results when applied for MG screening in real samples. These results demonstrated a promising application of this novel ratiometric fluorescence immunoassay for MG screening with the merits of rapid detection, simple sample preparation, and stable signal readout. It can be an alternative to other traditional methods if there are difficulties in the availability of expensive instruments, and achieve comparable results or even more sensitivity than other reported methods.

Abstract
A novel molecularly imprinted electrochemiluminescence (MIECL) sensor based on the luminescence of molecularly imprinted polymer-perovskite (MIP-CsPbBr3) layer and Ru(bpy)32+ was fabricated for simazine detection. MIP-CsPbBr3 layers were immobilized onto the surface of glassy carbon electrode as the capture and signal amplification probe, and Ru(bpy)32+ and co-reactant tripropylamine exhibited stronger electrochemiluminescence (ECL) emission. Under optimal conditions, the ECL signal of the MIECL sensor was linearly quenched, with the logarithm of simazine concentration ranging from 0.1 μg/L to 500.0 μg/L, correlation coefficient of 0.9947, and limit of detection of 0.06 μg/L. The practicality of the developed MIECL sensor method for simazine determination in aquatic samples was validated. Excellent recoveries of 86.5 %-103.9 % with relative standard deviation below 1.6 % were obtained for fish and shrimp samples at three different spiked concentrations. The MIECL sensor exhibited excellent selectivity, sensitivity, reproducibility, accuracy, and precision for simazine determination in actual aquatic samples.

Abstract
Sensing trace amounts of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) as a harmful substance to organisms even in small quantities is of great importance. The present study includes a sensitive and selective electrochemical sensor for detecting 4-NP in natural water samples using formamide-converted nitrogen-carbon materials (shortened to f-NC) as a new material for electrode modification. The structure and morphology of the f-NC were set apart by SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, FTIR, Raman, and the electrochemical performance of the f-NC were set apart by CV, EIS and CC. We studied the electrochemical behaviour of 4-NP on the glassy carbon electrode modified with f-NC before and after pyrolysis treatment (denoted as f-NC1/GCE and f-NC2/GCE). In 0.2 M of H2SO4 solution, the f-NC2/GCE has an apparent electrocatalytic activity to reduce 4-NP. Under the optimal conditions, the reduction peak current of 4-NP varies linearly, with its concentration in the range of 0.2 to 100 mM, and the detection limit obtained as 0.02 mM (S/N = 3). In addition, the electrochemical sensor has high selectivity, and the stability is quite good. The preparation and application of the sensor to detect 4-NP in water samples produced satisfactory results, which provides a new method for the simple, sensitive and quantitative detection of 4-NP.

Abstract
In this paper, novel N-doped carbon dots (N-CDs) were prepared from fuchsin basic and ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid-disodium salt (EDTA-2Na). The N-CDs were characterized by a series of techniques and it was found that the average particle size was 2.75 nm, and the surface had functional groups such as -NH2 and -COOH. Interestingly, N-CDs exhibited a fast and sensitive response to malachite green (MG), which may be due to the inner filter effect (IFE). A method for the detection of MG in water samples from Jinyang Lake was developed using N-CDs, with a limit of detection (LOD) as low as 27.28 nM. Furthermore, N-CDs were utilized in the biological imaging of Arabidopsis thaliana.

Abstract
A glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was modified with nitrogen-doped carbon materials (NC) and polyethyleneimine (PEI) composites to design an electrochemical sensor for detecting 4-nitrophenol (4-NP). The NC materials were prepared by a simple and economical method through the condensation and carbonization of formamide. The NC materials were dispersed in a polyethyleneimine (PEI) solution easily. Due to the excellent properties of NC and PEI as well as their synergistic effect, the electrochemical reduction of the 4-NP on the surface of the NC-PEI composite modified electrode was effectively enhanced. Under the optimized conditions, at 0.06-10 μM and 10-100 μM concentration ranges, the NC-PEI/GCE sensor shows a linear response to 4-NP, and the detection limit is 0.01 μM (the signal-to-noise ratio is three). The reliability of the sensor for the detection of 4-NP in environmental water samples was successfully evaluated. In addition, the sensor has many advantages, including simple preparation, fast response, high sensitivity and good repeatability. It may be helpful for potential applications in detecting other targets.
