Abstract
The spectral matching strategy of MS2 fragment spectrograms serves as a ubiquitous method for compound characterization within the matrix. Nevertheless, challenges arise due to the deficiency of distinctions in spectra across instruments caused by coelution peak-derived fragments and incompleteness of the current spectral reference database, leading to dilemma of multidimensional omics annotation. The graph attention model embedded with long short-term memory was proposed as an optimized approach involving integrating similar MS2 spectra into molecular networks according to the isotopic ion peak cluster spacing features to collapse diverse ion species and expand the spectral reference library, which efficiently evaluated the substance capture capacity to 123.1% than classic substance perception tactics. The versatility and utility of the established annotation procedure were showcased in a study on the stimulation of pork mediated by 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane and enabled the global metabolite annotation from knowns to unknowns at metabolite-lipid-protein level. On the spectra for which in silico extended spectral library search provided a group truth, 83.5-117.1% accuracy surpassed 1.2-14.3% precision after manual validation. β-Ala-His dipeptidase was first evidenced as the critical node related to the transformation of α-helical (36.57 to 35.74%) to random coil (41.53 to 42.36%) mediated by 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane, ultimately triggering an augment of catalytic performance, inducing a series of oxidative stress, and further intervening in the availability of animal-derived substrates. The integration of ionic fragment feature networks and long short-term memory models allows the effective annotation of recurrent unknowns in organisms and the deciphering of unacquainted matter in multiomics.

Abstract
Quercetin, a flavonoid found in fruits and vegetables, has been a part of human diets for centuries. Its numerous health benefits, including antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and anticancer properties, have been extensively studied. Its strong antioxidant properties enable it to scavenge free radicals, reduce oxidative stress, and protect against cellular damage. Quercetin's anti-inflammatory properties involve inhibiting the production of inflammatory cytokines and enzymes, making it a potential therapeutic agent for various inflammatory conditions. It also exhibits anticancer effects by inhibiting cancer cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis. Finally, quercetin has cardiovascular benefits such as lowering blood pressure, reducing cholesterol levels, and improving endothelial function, making it a promising candidate for preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases. This review provides an overview of the chemical structure, biological activities, and bioavailability of quercetin, as well as the different delivery systems available for quercetin. Incorporating quercetin-rich foods into the diet or taking quercetin supplements may be beneficial for maintaining good health and preventing chronic diseases. As research progresses, the future perspectives of quercetin appear promising, with potential applications in nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and functional foods to promote overall well-being and disease prevention. However, further studies are needed to elucidate its mechanisms of action, optimize its bioavailability, and assess its long-term safety for widespread utilization.

The present review aims to describe an overview of quercetin with its various pharmacological effects. Quercetin is used as antioxidant, anticancer, antibacterial and antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, antihypertensive, antifungal, anti-allergic and antiproliferative agents, which are described in the manuscript. It is mainly obtained from plant resources, which is also described in the manuscript. The manuscript also focuses on describing the various studies related to quercetin which shows various pharmacological activities. It is concluded from the study that quercetin has shown an efficacious effect on various diseases.

Abstract
The origin and geochemical significance of the rearranged hopanes in hydrocarbon source rocks or crude oil have attracted extensive attention. Despite numerous studies, there is not yet a proper conclusion. Therefore, this paper discusses the formation conditions of such compounds and points out their geochemical significance in more detail using a remarkably broad range of source rocks and crude oils from four basins in China. Varying content of rearranged hopanes was found in a total of 19 source rocks and oils from the Ordos, Sichuan, and Tarim basins and the North China Block. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) in combination with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and conventional geochemical parameters was used for Pearson correlation analysis to reveal the enrichment mechanisms of rearranged hopanes in the studied rock and oil samples. The GC-MS and XRD results showed that the studied source rocks with high rearranged hopane contents are closely associated with the high abundance of quartz rather than that of clay. Furthermore, the present study reveals that anoxic lacustrine conditions are the primary controlling factors of relatively high abundance of rearranged hopanes in the studied rocks and oils, whereas thermal maturity and terrigenous organic matter input are the secondary factors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Akebia trifoliata (Thunb.) Koidz may have applications as a new potential source of biofuels owing to its high seed count, seed oil content, and in-field yields. However, the pericarp of A. trifoliata cracks longitudinally during fruit ripening, which increases the incidence of pests and diseases and can lead to fruit decay and deterioration, resulting in significant losses in yield. Few studies have evaluated the mechanisms underlying A. trifoliata fruit cracking. RESULTS In this study, by observing the cell wall structure of the pericarp, we found that the cell wall became thinner and looser and showed substantial breakdown in the pericarp of cracking fruit compared with that in non-cracking fruit. Moreover, integrative analyses of transcriptome and proteome profiles at different stages of fruit ripening demonstrated changes in the expression of various genes and proteins after cracking. Furthermore, the mRNA levels of 20 differentially expressed genes were analyzed, and parallel reaction monitoring analysis of 20 differentially expressed proteins involved in cell wall metabolism was conducted. Among the molecular targets, pectate lyases and pectinesterase, which are involved in pentose and glucuronate interconversion, and β-galactosidase 2, which is involved in galactose metabolism, were significantly upregulated in cracking fruits than in non-cracking fruits. This suggested that they might play crucial roles in A. trifoliata fruit cracking. CONCLUSIONS Our findings provided new insights into potential genes influencing the fruit cracking trait in A. trifoliata and established a basis for further research on the breeding of cracking-resistant varieties to increase seed yields for biorefineries.

Abstract
Background Brachychiton rupestris and Brachychiton discolor (Malvaceae) are ornamental trees native to Australia. Some members of Brachychiton and its highly related genus, Sterculia, are employed in traditional medicine for itching, dermatitis and other skin diseases. However, scientific studies on these two genera are scarce. Aiming to reveal the scientific basis of the folk medicinal use of these plants, the cytotoxicity, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic activities of Brachychiton rupestris and Brachychiton discolor leaves extracts and fractions were evaluated. Also, phytochemical investigation of B. rupestris was performed to identify the compounds exerting the biological effect. Methods Extracts as well as fractions of Brachychiton rupestris and Brachychiton discolor were tested for their cytotoxicity versus hepatoma HepG2, lung A549, and breast MDA-MB-231 cancer cell lines. Assessment of the anti-allergic activity was done using degranulation assay in RBL-2H3 mast cells. Anti-inflammatory effect was tested by measuring the suppression of superoxide anion production as well as elastase release in fMLF/CB-induced human neutrophils. Phytochemical investigation of the n-hexane, dichloromethane and ethyl acetate fractions of B. rupestris was done using different chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. Results The tested samples showed no cytotoxicity towards the tested cell lines. The nonpolar fractions of both B. rupestris and B. discolor showed potent anti-allergic potency by inhibiting the release of β-hexosaminidase. The dichloromethane fraction of both species exhibited the highest anti-inflammatory activity by suppressing superoxide anion generation and elastase release with IC50 values of 2.99 and 1.98 μg/mL, respectively for B. rupestris, and 0.78 and 1.57 μg/mL, respectively for B. discolor. Phytochemical investigation of various fractions of B. rupestris resulted in the isolation of β-amyrin acetate (1), β-sitosterol (2) and stigmasterol (3) from the n-hexane fraction. Scopoletin (4) and β-sitosterol-3-O-β-D-glucoside (5) were obtained from the dichloromethane fraction. Dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol 4-O-β-D-glucoside (6) and dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol 9-O-β-D-glucoside (7) were separated from the ethyl acetate fraction. Scopoletin (4) showed anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory activity. Conclusions It was concluded that the nonpolar fractions of both Brachychiton species exhibited anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory activities. Abstract
Victoria (Nymphaeaceae), an annual or perennial aquatic plant genus, contains only two species: V. amazonica (Poepp.) J. C. Sowerby and V. cruziana A. D. Orb. Both species have large floating leaves and variable flower colour. Both Victoria species are night bloomers, which have white petals on the first blooming night that then turn pink or ruby red on the second blooming day. The mechanism of the colour change of Victoria petals during anthesis is still unclear. In this study, flavonoids in Victoria petals of both species were evaluated and quantified by high-performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detection (HPLC-DAD) and by ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) for the first time. In total, 14 flavonoids were detected in Victoria petals, including 4 anthocyanins and 10 flavonols. The flavonoid compositions differed across the two species, resulting in different colours between the inner and outer petals. With increased anthocyanin content across blooming days, the colour of Victoria flowers changed over time. The results of this study will improve understanding of the chemical mechanism of colour formation and lay the foundation for selective colour breeding in Victoria.

Abstract
The use of plant derived polysaccharides as health promoters has gained immense interest in the past few years. Arabinoxylan (AX) is the predominant non-starch polysaccharide in cereals and grasses including wheat. The current research aimed to investigate the structure-function relationship of arabinoxylan hydrolyzates (AXH), obtained by the enzymatic hydrolysis of AX using xylanase and arabinofuranosidase as immunomodulators in two colon cancer cell lines: Caco-2 and HT-29. Fine structural details had a strong correlation with the immunological properties of the wheat AXH. As a general trend, as the presence of arabinose substitution increased in the AXH, the production of proinflammatory cytokines, IL-8 and TNF-α, decreased in both cell lines. Thus, AXH with a higher degree of arabinose substitution might be better adept in lowering inflammation in colon cancer cells.

Abstract
Several investigations have demonstrated neuroprotective effects of quercetin, a polyphenol widely present in nature, against neurotoxic chemicals, as well as in neuronal injury/neurodegenerative disease models. Most of these studies have been performed with quercetin aglycone and its metabolites, while scanty data are available on its glycosides. This study is aimed at investigating the neuroprotective effects of quercetin 3,4'-O-β-d-diglucoside (Q3,4'dG), isolated from the bulbs of the white cultivar (Allium cepa L.), using an in vitro model of human striatal precursor cells (HSPs), a primary culture isolated from the striatal primordium and previously characterized. To study the effect of Q3,4'dG on cell survival, HSPs were exposed to nutrient deprivation created by replacing culture medium with phosphate buffer saline (PBS). Our findings showed that Q3,4'dG treatment significantly promoted cell survival and strongly decreased apoptosis induced by nutrient deprivation, as evaluated by cell proliferation/death analyses. In addition, since the adhesive capacities of cells are essential for cell survival, the expression of some adhesion molecules, such as pancadherin and focal adhesion kinase, was evaluated. Interestingly, PBS exposure significantly decreased the expression of both molecules, while in the presence of Q3,4'dG this effect was prevented. This study provides evidence of a neuroprotective role exerted by Q3,4'dG and suggests its possible implication in sustaining neuronal survival for prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders.

Abstract
Quercetin is the great representative of polyphenols, flavonoids subgroup, flavonols. Its main natural sources in foods are vegetables such as onions, the most studied quercetin containing foods, and broccoli; fruits (apples, berry crops, and grapes); some herbs; tea; and wine. Quercetin is known for its antioxidant activity in radical scavenging and anti-allergic properties characterized by stimulation of immune system, antiviral activity, inhibition of histamine release, decrease in pro-inflammatory cytokines, leukotrienes creation, and suppresses interleukin IL-4 production. It can improve the Th1/Th2 balance, and restrain antigen-specific IgE antibody formation. It is also effective in the inhibition of enzymes such as lipoxygenase, eosinophil and peroxidase and the suppression of inflammatory mediators. All mentioned mechanisms of action contribute to the anti-inflammatory and immunomodulating properties of quercetin that can be effectively utilized in treatment of late-phase, and late-late-phase bronchial asthma responses, allergic rhinitis and restricted peanut-induced anaphylactic reactions. Plant extract of quercetin is the main ingredient of many potential anti-allergic drugs, supplements and enriched products, which is more competent in inhibiting of IL-8 than cromolyn (anti-allergic drug disodium cromoglycate) and suppresses IL-6 and cytosolic calcium level increase.
