Abstract
Functional multiwall carbon nanotubes (f-MWCNTs) are of significant interest due to their dispersion ability in the aqueous phase and potential application in environmental, nanotechnology, and biological fields. Herein, we functionalized MWCNTs by a simple acid treatment under ultra-sonification, which represented a terminal or side-functional improvement for the fabrication of a toxic lead ion sensor. The f-MWCNTs were characterized in detail by XRD, Raman, XPS, BET, UV/vis, FTIR, and FESEM-coupled XEDS techniques. The analytical performance of the f-MWCNTs was studied for the selective detection of toxic lead ions by inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The selectivity of the f-MWCNTs was evaluated using several metal ions such as Cd2+, Co2+, Cr3+, Cu2+, Fe3+, Ni2+, Pb2+, and Zn2+ ions. Lastly, the newly designed ionic sensor was successfully employed to selectively detect lead ions in several environmental water samples with reasonable results. This approach introduced a new technique for the selective detection of heavy metal ions using functional carbon nanotubes with ICP-OES for the safety of environmental and healthcare fields on a broad scale.

Abstract
Nanobiosensors are convenient, practical, and sensitive analyzers that detect chemical and biological agents and convert the results into meaningful data between a biologically active molecule and a recognition element immobilized on the surface of the signal transducer by a physicochemical detector. Due to their fast, accurate and reliable operating characteristics, nanobiosensors are widely used in clinical and nonclinical applications, bedside testing, medical textile industry, environmental monitoring, food safety, etc. They play an important role in such critical applications. Therefore, the design of the biosensing interface is essential in determining the performance of the nanobiosensor. The unique chemical and physical properties of nanomaterials have paved the way for new and improved sensing devices in biosensors. The growing demand for devices with improved sensing and selectivity capability, short response time, lower limit of detection, and low cost causes novel investigations on nanobiomaterials to be used as biosensor scaffolds. Among all other nanomaterials, studies on developing nanobiosensors based on metal oxide nanostructures, graphene and its derivatives, carbon nanotubes, and the widespread use of these nanomaterials as a hybrid structure have recently attracted attention. Nanohybrid structures created by combining these nanostructures will directly meet the future biosensors' needs with their high electrocatalytic activities. This review addressed the recent developments on these nanomaterials and their derivatives, and their use as biosensor scaffolds. We reviewed these popular nanomaterials by evaluating them with comparative studies, tables, and charts.

Abstract
Supramolecular chemistry, although focused mainly on noncovalent intermolecular and intramolecular interactions, which are considerably weaker than covalent interactions, can be employed to fabricate sensors with a remarkable affinity for a target analyte. In this review the development of cyclodextrin-based electrochemical sensors is described and discussed. Following a short introduction to the general properties of cyclodextrins and their ability to form inclusion complexes, the cyclodextrin-based sensors are introduced. This includes the combination of cyclodextrins with reduced graphene oxide, carbon nanotubes, conducting polymers, enzymes and aptamers, and electropolymerized cyclodextrin films. The applications of these materials as chiral recognition agents and biosensors and in the electrochemical detection of environmental contaminants, biomolecules and amino acids, drugs and flavonoids are reviewed and compared. Based on the papers reviewed, it is clear that cyclodextrins are promising molecular recognition agents in the creation of electrochemical sensors, chiral sensors, and biosensors. Moreover, they have been combined with a host of materials to enhance the detection of the target analytes. Nevertheless, challenges remain, including the development of more robust methods for the integration of cyclodextrins into the sensing unit.

Abstract
In this approach, thin spikes (NSs) of ternary nano-formulated mixed CuO/MnO2/Gd2O3 were synthesized by the hydrothermal approach for efficient detection of 3-methoxyphenyl hydrazine (3-MPHyd) chemical from various environmental samples. The NSs were systematically characterized by using XPS, EDS, TEM, FTIR, UV/vis, and XRD. The fabricated NSs onto the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was successfully applied for the selective and sensitive detection of 3-MPHyd in the phosphate buffer system (PBS), which displayed the highest sensitivity, good selectivity with ultra-trace detection limit, high stability, good reproducibility, and quick response time. The real environmental samples were tested for validation from stand point of the ternary doped nanomaterials for sensing in the practical applications using by electrochemical method.

Abstract
In this work, a tri-metal based nanocomposite was synthesized and characterized. A detailed investigation of the photocatalytic dye degradation efficiency of the nanocomposite under visible light showed promising results in a wide pH range, both acidic and basic medium. Studies on anti-bacterial activity against seven pathogenic bacteria, including both Gram positive and Gram negative species, were conducted in the presence and absence of light and compared with the standard antibiotic gentamicin. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of Ag·NiMn2O4 against multidrug-resistant (MDR) pathogens ranged from 0.008 to 0.65 μg μL-1, while the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) was found to be 0.0016 μg μL-1. The nanomaterial, Ag·NiMn2O4 was deposited onto the surface of a glassy carbon electrode (GCE; 0.0316 cm2) as a thin film to fabricate the chemical sensor probe. The proposed sensor showed linear current (vs. concentration) response to m-THyd (m-tolyl hydrazine) from 1.0 pM to 0.01 mM, which is denoted as the linear dynamic range (LDR). The estimated sensitivity and detection limit of the m-THyd sensor were found to be 47.275 μA μM-1 cm-2 and 0.97 ± 0.05 pM, respectively. As a potential sensor, it is reliable due to its good reproducibility, rapid response, higher sensitivity, working stability for long duration and efficiency in the analysis of real environmental samples.

Abstract
Herein, we report the fabrication of a modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with high-performance hydrazine sensor based on Fe-doped TiO2 nanoparticles prepared via a facile and low-cost hydrothermal method. The structural morphology, crystalline, crystallite size, vibrational and scattering properties were examined through different characterization techniques, including FESEM, XRD, FTIR, UV–Vis, Raman and photoluminescence spectroscopy. FESEM analysis revealed the high-density synthesis of Fe-doped TiO2 nanoparticles with the average diameter of 25 ± 5 nm. The average crystallite size of the synthesized nanoparticles was found to be around 14 nm. As-fabricated hydrazine chemical sensors exhibited 1.44 μA µM−1 cm−2 and 0.236 µM sensitivity and limit of detection (LOD), respectively. Linear dynamic ranged from 0.2 to 30 µM concentrations. Furthermore, the Fe-doped TiO2 modified GCE showed a negligible inference behavior towards ascorbic acid, uric acid, glucose, SO42−, NO3−, Pb2+ and Ca2+ ions on the hydrazine sensing performance. Thus, Fe-doped TiO2 modified GCE can be efficiently used as an economical, easy to fabricate and selective sensing of hydrazine and its derivatives.

Abstract
A novel multi-metal oxide nanocomposite, Ag2O·SrO·CaO, was synthesized by a facile co-precipitation method followed by calcinations. The synthesized nanocomposite was characterized by XRD, FESEM, EDS, TEM, FTIR spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The composite showed enhanced photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation and excellent anti-bacterial performance against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Here, the synthesized Ag2O·SrO·CaO nanomaterials were deposited on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) in the form of a thin film to fabricate the desired electrochemical sensor and subjected to I–V analysis of 3-chlorophenol (3-CP) in a phosphate buffer solution (PBS). A calibration curve was plotted from the linear relation of current versus concentration and used to calculate the sensitivity (8.9684 μA μM−1 cm−2), linear dynamic range (LDR, 0.1 nM to 0.01 mM) and lower limit of detection (DL, 97.12 ± 4.86 pM). The analytical parameters of the sensor such as response time, reproducibility and long-term stability in the detection of 3-CP were reliable. Finally, it was used to analyze real samples collected from various environmental sources and found to be acceptable. The electrochemical detection mechanism of 3-CP in PBS buffer using the heterostructure nanocomposite Ag2O·SrO·CaO.
