Abstract
Several meltable coordination polymers (CPs) that possess substantial advantages attributable to their high flexibility and processability have been developed recently; however, the melting mechanism and vitrification conditions of these materials are not yet fully understood. In this study, we synthesized meltable CPs [A][K(TCM)2] (A = onium cation, TCM = C(CN)3-) incorporating ionic liquid components and investigated their crystal structures and melting behaviors in detail. These CPs feature two- or three-dimensional anionic [K(TCM)2]n- frameworks incorporating onium cations. Each CP was found to undergo incongruent melting at a temperature between 73 and 192 °C to produce a heterogeneous mixture of the ionic liquid ([A][TCM]) and microcrystalline K[TCM]. Furthermore, they formed homogeneous liquids upon further heating to ∼240 °C. The melting points of these CPs were linearly correlated with those of their constituent ionic liquids. The vitrification of these materials upon rapid cooling from the molten state was further investigated. The cooling rates required for vitrification differed greatly between the CPs and were correlated with the cation flexibility.

Abstract
An emissive europium(III) complex [C2 mim][Eu(fod)4 ] (1; C2 mim=1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium; fod=1,1,1,2,2,3,3-heptafluoro-7,7-dimethyloctane-4,6-dionate) was prepared. The complex shows ratiometric thermal behaviour up to 155 °C. These unusual temperature-dependent properties arise from a solid-solid phase transition that promotes increased contact between the anion and the cation, affecting the emission profile of the emissive anion in two different ratiometric relations. A ultrabright and flexible emissive photopolymer film was obtained using polysulfone (PSU) as the host matrix of 10 % (w/w) of 1, that also induced changes on the lanthanide emissive profile with temperature. A temperature-responsive luminescent film 1/PSU is sensitivr to heating between 100 and 155 °C. Also, the emission lifetime of 1 was not affected by confinement in PSU, while its emission quantum yield was reduced from 82 to 59 %.

Abstract
The study of hydrogenase enzymes (H2ases) is necessary because of their importance to a future hydrogen energy economy. These enzymes come in three distinct classes: [NiFe] H2ases, which have a propensity toward H2 oxidation; [FeFe] H2ases, which have a propensity toward H2 evolution; and [Fe] H2ases, which catalyze H- transfer. Modeling these enzymes has so far treated them as different species, which is understandable given the different cores and ligand sets of the natural molecules. Here, we demonstrate, using x-ray analysis and nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared, Mössbauer spectroscopies, and electrochemical measurement, that the catalytic properties of all three enzymes can be mimicked with only three isomers of the same NiFe complex.
