Abstract
The residue levels of 6 quinolones in 160 cultured fish samples from Shandong Province, China were investigated using UPLC-MS/MS. The detection rate was 43.1% and enrofloxacin had the highest detection rate as well as the highest residue concentration. The violation rates were 2.50% for the sum of enrofloxacin and ciprofloxacin and 1.25% for ofloxacin. Among the 9 fish species, quinolone contamination problems should receive more attention in Carp, Grass carp, Crucian and Catfish. The health risk assessment showed that when calculated by the maximum concentration, the estimated daily intakes (EDIs) of Carp, Grass carp and Crucian for the high consumption group accounted for more than 10% of the acceptable daily intakes (ADIs), indicating that a large intake of these fish species might pose a potential health risk and health risk monitoring of quinolones in cultured fish should be continually performed.

Abstract
The present work firstly described the enantioseparation and determination of flumequine enantiomers in milk, yogurt, chicken, beef, egg, and honey samples by chiral liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. The enantioseparation was performed under reversed-phase conditions on a Chiralpak IC column at 20°C. The effects of chiral stationary phase, mobile phase components, and column temperature on the separation of flumequine enantiomers have been studied in detail. Target compounds were extracted from six different matrices with individual extraction procedure followed by cleanup using Cleanert C18 solid phase extraction cartridge. Good linearity (R2 >0.9913) was obtained over the concentration range of 0.125 to 12.5 ng g-1 for each enantiomer in matrix-matched standard calibration curves. The limits of detection and limits of quantification of two flumequine enantiomers were 0.015-0.024 and 0.045-0.063 ng g-1 , respectively. The average recoveries of the targeted compounds varied from 82.3 to 110.5%, with relative standard deviation less than 11.7%. The method was successfully applied to the determination of flumequine enantiomers in multiple food matrices, providing a reliable method for evaluating the potential risk in animal productions.

Abstract
Now-a-days, various types of antibiotics are being used worldwide in veterinary sector indiscriminately for promotion of growth and treatment of the livestock. Significant portions of antibiotics are released through milk of dairy animals unaltered and exert serious harmful effects on human health. This review evaluates and compare researches on antibiotic residues in milk in published literatures from Pubmed, CrossRef, CAB direct, DOAJ, JournalTOCs, AGRICOLA, ScientificGate, Electronic Journals Library, CAB abstracts, Global Health Databases, Global Impact Factor, Google Scholar, Park Directory of Open Access Journals, BanglaJOL and ISC E-Journals. Antibiotics residue in milk was first detected in 60s and then with an increasing trend with highest after 2,000 (188). The highest no. of works, 49 (21.87%) were accomplished in China, followed by Spain, 30 (13.39%); Germany, 11 (4.91%); and USA, 10 (4.46%). Continent-wise highest researches are published from Europe, 105 (46.88%), followed by Asia, 77 (34.38%); South America, 18 (8.04%); North America, 16 (7.14%); and Africa, 8 (3.57%). For detection, Bovine milk sample is mostly used, 193 (86.16%), followed by ovine, 19 (8.48%); and caprine, 14 (6.25%). Acetonitrile was used in maximum cases (77) for processing the samples. Chromatographic technique was the highest, 115 (51.34%) for detection. Residue of β-lactam group have been detected mostly 133 (36.54%), followed by tetracyclines, 51 (14.01%); fluoroquinolones, 49 (13.46%); sulfonamides, 46 (12.64%); and aminoglycosides, 38 (10.44%). This review observe that antibiotics residues are more common in milk samples that are being manifested in increasing researches on antibiotic detection and measures should adopt to cease this residue.

Abstract
With the aid of amino acid, various Ag nanostructures were successfully synthesized via the reaction between silver nitrate and hydrazine hydrate at room temperature. The as-prepared products were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. It was found that the morphology of the as-prepared Ag products depended on the sorts of amino acid and solvents. The uniform Ag nanosponges could be obtained in glycol with aid of glycine. Using rhodamine 6G (R6G) as probe, the surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) performance was also investigated, which showed that the uniform Ag nanosponges exhibited an intensive and enhanced Raman scattering. Pazufloxacin mesilate (PM) were detected conveniently using these uniform nanosponges as SERS substrates. The present work might afford some guidance for the rationally controllable synthesis of other metal nanomaterials.

Abstract
A novel colorimetric nanomaterial-assisted optical sensor for pazufloxacin mesilate was proposed for the first time. Pazufloxacin mesilate could induce the aggregation of glucose-reduced gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) through hydrogen-bonding interaction and electrostatic attraction, leading to the changes in color and absorption spectra of AuNPs. The effect of different factors such as pH, the amount of AuNPs, reaction time and reaction temperature was inspected. Under the optimum condition, UV-vis spectra showed that the absorption ratio (A670/A532) was linear with the concentration of pazufloxacin mesilate in the range from 9×10(-8) mol L(-1) to 7×10(-7) mol L(-1) with a linear coefficient of 0.9951. This method can be applied to detecting pazufloxacin mesilate with an ultralow detection limit of 7.92×10(-9) mol L(-1) without any complicated instruments. Through inspecting other analytes and ions, the anti-interference performance of AuNP detection system for pazufloxacin mesilate was excellent. For its high efficiency, rapid response rate as well as wide linear range, it had been successfully used to the analysis of pazufloxacin mesilate in human urine quantificationally.

Abstract
This paper describes the synthesis of novel molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) micro-beads for the selective extraction (MISPE) of six fluoroquinolone (FQ) antibiotics (enrofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, lomefloxacin, danofloxacin, sarafloxacin and norfloxacin) from chicken muscle samples and further analysis by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with fluorescence (FLD) or mass spectrometry (MS) detection. A combinatorial screening approach has been applied to select the optimal functional monomer and cross-linker formulation for polymer synthesis. The MIP prepared using enoxacin (ENOX) as the template - a mixture of methacrylic acid (MAA) and trifluoromethacrylic acid (TFMAA) as functional monomers and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EDMA) as the cross-linker - showed superior FQ recognition properties than the rest of the materials generated. MIP spherical particles were prepared using silica beads as sacrificial scaffolds. The polymers were packed in solid phase extraction (SPE) cartridges. The optimized MISPE-HPLC method allows the extraction of the antimicrobials from aqueous samples followed by a selective washing with acetonitrile/water (0.005% TFA, pH=3.0), 20:80 (v/v) and elution with 5% trifluoroacetic acid in methanol. Optimum MISPE conditions led to recoveries of the target FQs in chicken muscle samples ranging between 68 and 102% and precisions in the 3-4% range (RSD, n=18). The method has been validated according to European Union Decision 2002/657/EC, in terms of linearity, accuracy, precision, selectivity, decision limit (CCα) and detection capability (CCβ) by HPLC-FLD and HPLC-MS/MS. The limits of detection were improved using HPLC-MS/MS analysis and ranged between 0.2 and 2.7μgkg(-1) (S/N=3) for all the FQs tested.

Abstract
An efficient molecularly imprinted solid phase extraction (MISPE)-spectrofluorimetric method was developed to sensitively determine danofloxacin (DAN) in milk samples. Solid phase extraction procedure using MISPE cartridges was first performed on milk samples and then spectrofluorimetric determination was done at 546 nm using an excitation wavelength of 285 nm in presence of terbium and sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS). It was found that SDBS significantly enhanced the fluorescence intensity of the DAN-Tb(3+) complex. Various factors affecting the fluorescence intensity of DAN-Tb(3+)-SDBS system were studied and conditions were optimized. The enhanced fluorescence intensity of the system (ΔF) showed a good linear relationship with the concentration of DAN over the range of 8.4×10(-9)-3.4×10(-7) mol L(-1) with a correlation coefficient of 0.9996. The detection limit was determined as 2.0×10(-9) mol L(-1) and the limit of quantification was determined as 6.5×10(-9) mol L(-1). The MISPE-spectrofluorimetric procedure was successfully applied to the determination of DAN in milk samples. The method is simple, rapid, sensitive and allows interference free determination of DAN in complex fluorescent matrices like milk. Abstract
AbstractUltrasonic assistance is one of the great successes of modern analytical chemistry, which uses this energy for a variety of purposes in relation to sample preparation and development of methods for the analysis of numerous contaminants including organic and inorganic compounds. This review will attempt to provide an overview of more recent applications of ultrasound in different environmental and biological samples such as food, soil and water as well as a brief description of the theoretical understanding of this method. Also, the possibility of coupling ultrasound with other analytical techniques will be discussed.

Abstract
A simple, rapid and sensitive constant wavelength synchronous fluorescence method is developed for the determination of danofloxacin (DAN) in pharmaceutical formulations and its residue in milk based on Al(III) enhanced fluorescence. The synchronous fluorescence intensity of the system is measured at 435 nm using ∆ λ = 80 nm and an excitation wavelength of 280 nm. A good linear relationship between enhanced fluorescence intensity and DAN concentration is obtained in the range of 3-100 ng mL(-1)(r (2) = 0.9991). The limit of detection (LOD, S/N = 3) of the present method is 0.9 ng mL(-1). The proposed method can be successfully applied to the determination of DAN in pharmaceutical formulations and in milk without serious interferences from common excipients, metal ions and other co-existing substances. The method can be used as a rapid screening to judge whether the DAN residues in milk exceed Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) or not.

Abstract
Three simple spectrophotometric and atomic absorption spectrometric methods are developed and validated for the determination of moxifloxacin HCl in pure form and in pharmaceutical formulations. Method (A) is a kinetic method based on the oxidation of moxifloxacin HCl by Fe(3+) ion in the presence of 1,10 o-phenanthroline (o-phen). Method (B) describes spectrophotometric procedures for determination of moxifloxacin HCl based on its ability to reduce Fe (III) to Fe (II), which was rapidly converted to the corresponding stable coloured complex after reacting with 2,2' bipyridyl (bipy). The formation of the tris-complex formed in both methods (A) and (B) were carefully studied and their absorbance were measured at 510 and 520 nm respectively. Method (C) is based on the formation of ion- pair associated between the drug and bismuth (III) tetraiodide in acidic medium to form orange-red ion-pair associates. This associate can be quantitatively determined by three different procedures. The formed precipitate is either filtered off, dissolved in acetone and quantified spectrophotometrically at 462 nm (Procedure 1), or decomposed by hydrochloric acid, and the bismuth content is determined by direct atomic absorption spectrometric (Procedure 2). Also the residual unreacted metal complex in the filtrate is determined through its metal content using indirect atomic absorption spectrometric technique (procedure 3). All the proposed methods were validated according to the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, the three proposed methods permit the determination of moxifloxacin HCl in the range of (0.8-6, 0.8-4) for methods A and B, (16-96, 16-96 and 16-72) for procedures 1-3 in method C. The limits of detection and quantitation were calculated, the precision of the methods were satisfactory; the values of relative standard deviations did not exceed 2%. The proposed methods were successfully applied to determine the drug in its pharmaceutical formulations without interference from the common excipients. The results obtained by the proposed methods were comparable with those obtained by the reference method.

Abstract
Ionic liquid-based homogeneous liquid-liquid microextraction (IL-based HLLME) high-performance liquid chromatography was developed and applied to the extraction, separation and determination of some antibiotics in milk. The proteins and lipids were removed by adding salt and adjusting the pH value. The homogeneous extraction was applied to the improvement of recoveries for IL phase and analytes. The experimental parameters of the IL-based HLLME, including salt concentration in sample solution, pH value of sample solution, volume of [C(6)MIM][BF(4)], amount of ion-pairing agent (NH(4)PF(6)), and extraction time, were evaluated. The limits of detection for enoxacin, pefloxacin, norfloxacin, enrofloxacin, sulfamethoxazole and sulfadimethoxine were 15.8, 7.07, 5.13, 4.00, 7.79 and 8.33 μg L(-1), respectively. When the proposed method was applied to the analysis of milk samples the recoveries of the analytes ranged from 92.5 to 118.6% and relative standard deviations were lower than 7.00%.
