Abstract
It is generally recognized that the stability of nanoparticles (NPs) has a great impact on their potential biological applications. Despite this, very few studies have investigated the change in toxicity of NPs over time but none has studied the periodic physicochemical changes contributing to it. To address this, we analyzed the effects of long-term storage on the physicochemical changes of green synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) that directly influences their antimicrobial durability. Light-induced slow synthesis of AgNPs was carried out using Saraca asoca aqueous leaf extract. The synthesis was optimized with respect to parameters known to play a major role in the long-term stability of AgNPs: pH, temperature, light exposure time, AgNO3 concentration, extract proportion in the reaction mixture and storage conditions. Freshly synthesized AgNPs were characterized and then stored under optimized conditions. UV-vis spectrophotometry, AAS, conventional TEM and HR-TEM along with EDX spectroscopy were used at regular intervals to test the physicochemical properties that influence their long-term stability. Broth dilution assay was used to test antimicrobial activity of AgNPs against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Under dark storage conditions at room temperature, the AgNPs exhibited excellent stability with very good dispersity, throughout the study period of 18 months, despite the particles undergoing physicochemical changes in largescale. AgNPs exhibited sufficient antimicrobial activity against both strains tested. Due to the stronger stabilizing effect of the extract, we observed the lowest inhibition of E. coli and S. aureus by the freshly synthesized and 15 day old AgNPs; however, the inhibition rate escalated after a month and the highest rate of inhibition was observed with the particles between 2 months to 6 months of storage. After 6 months, we observed the particles losing their antimicrobial potential gradually, that lasted throughout the rest of our study period. This observation was in accord with the physicochemical changes that AgNPs were undergoing with time. By deepening our understanding of the changes in the physicochemical properties of green synthesized AgNPs over time, this study contributes to the development of more effective, durable, and potent AgNPs.

Abstract
Developing biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag‐NPs) using plant extract is an environmentally friendly method to reduce the use of harmful chemical substances. The green synthesis of Ag‐NPs by Lawsonia inermis extract and its cellular toxicity and the antimicrobial effect was studied. The physical and chemical properties of synthesised Ag‐NPs were investigated using UV‐visible spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning, and transmission electron microscopy. The average size of Ag‐NPs was 40 nm. The XRD result shows peaks at 2θ = 38.07°, 44.26°, 64.43°, and 77.35° are related to the FCC structure of Ag‐NPs. Cytotoxicity of synthesised nanoparticles was evaluated by MTT toxicity test on breast cancer MCF7 cell line. Observations showed that the effect of cytotoxicity of nanoparticles on the studied cell line depended on concentration and time. The obtained IC50 was considered for cells at a dose of 250 μg/ml. Growth and survival rates decreased exponentially with the dose. Antimicrobial properties of Ag‐NPs synthesised with extract were investigated against Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Bacillus cereus, and Staphylococcus aureus to calculate the minimum inhibitory concentration and the minimum bactericidal concentration of (MBC). The results showed that the synthesised Ag‐NPs and the plant extract have antimicrobial properties. The lowest concentration of Ag‐NPs that can inhibit the growth of bacterial strains was 25 μg/ml.

Metallic and Metal Oxides Nanoparticles for Sensing Food Pathogens—An Overview of Recent Findings and Future Prospects. MATERIALS 2022; 15:ma15155374. Abstract
Nowadays, special importance is given to quality control and food safety. Food quality currently creates significant problems for the industry and implicitly for consumers and society. The effects materialize in economic losses, alterations of the quality and organoleptic properties of the commercial products, and, last but not least, they constitute risk factors for the consumer’s health. In this context, the development of analytical systems for the rapid determination of the sanitary quality of food products by detecting possible pathogenic microorganisms (such as Escherichia coli or Salmonella due to the important digestive disorders that they can cause in many consumers) is of major importance. Using efficient and environmentally friendly detection systems for identification of various pathogens that modify food matrices and turn them into food waste faster will also improve agri-food quality throughout the food chain. This paper reviews the use of metal nanoparticles used to obtain bio nanosensors for the purpose mentioned above. Metallic nanoparticles (Au, Ag, etc.) and their oxides can be synthesized by several methods, such as chemical, physical, physico-chemical, and biological, each bringing advantages and disadvantages in their use for developing nanosensors. In the “green chemistry” approach, a particular importance is given to the metal nanoparticles obtained by phytosynthesis. This method can lead to the development of good quality nanoparticles, at the same time being able to use secondary metabolites from vegetal wastes, as such providing a circular economy character. Considering these aspects, the use of phytosynthesized nanoparticles in other biosensing applications is also presented as a glimpse of their potential, which should be further explored.

Abstract
Nanomaterials have supported important technological advances due to their unique properties and their applicability in various fields, such as biomedicine, catalysis, environment, energy, and electronics. This has triggered a tremendous increase in their demand. In turn, materials scientists have sought facile methods to produce nanomaterials of desired features, i.e., morphology, composition, colloidal stability, and surface chemistry, as these determine the targeted application. The advent of photoprocesses has enabled the easy, fast, scalable, and cost- and energy-effective production of metallic nanoparticles of controlled properties without the use of harmful reagents or sophisticated equipment. Herein, we overview the synthesis of gold and silver nanoparticles via photochemical routes. We extensively discuss the effect of varying the experimental parameters, such as the pH, exposure time, and source of irradiation, the use or not of reductants and surfactants, reagents' nature and concentration, on the outcomes of these noble nanoparticles, namely, their size, shape, and colloidal stability. The hypothetical mechanisms that govern these green processes are discussed whenever available. Finally, we mention their applications and insights for future developments.

Abstract
Abstract
For decades, silver has been used as a non-toxic inorganic antimicrobial agent. Silver has a lot of potential in a variety of biological/chemical applications, particularly in the form of nanoparticles (NPs). Eco-friendly synthesis approach for NPs are becoming more common in nanobiotechnology, and the demand for biological synthesis methods is growing, with the goal of eliminating hazardous and polluting agents. Cultures of bacteria, fungi, and algae, plant extracts, and other biomaterials are commonly used for NP synthesis in the ‘green synthesis’ process. Plant-based green synthesis is a simple, fast, dependable, cost-effective, environmentally sustainable, and one-step method that has a significant advantage over microbial synthesis due to the lengthy process of microbial isolation and pure culture maintenance. In this report, we focussed on phytosynthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and their characterization using various techniques such as spectroscopy (UV–vis, FTIR), microscopy (TEM, SEM), X-Ray diffraction (XRD), and other particle analysis. The potential applications of AgNPs in a variety of biological and chemical fields are discussed.

Abstract
Generally, silver is considered as a noble metal used for treating burn wound infections, open wounds and cuts. However, the emerging nanotechnology has made a remarkable impact by converting metallic silver into silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) for better applications. The advancement in technology has improved the synthesis of NPs using biological method instead of physical and chemical methods. Nonetheless, synthesizing AgNPs using biological sources is ecofriendly and cost effective. Till date, AgNPs are widely used as antibacterial agents; therefore, a novel idea is needed for the successful use of AgNPs as therapeutic agents to uncertain diseases and infections. In biomedicine, AgNPs possess significant advantages due to their physical and chemical versatility. Indeed, the toxicity concerns regarding AgNPs have created the need for non-toxic and ecofriendly approaches to produce AgNPs. The applications of AgNPs in nanogels, nanosolutions, silver based dressings and coating over medical devices are under progress. Still, an improvised version of AgNPs for extended applications in an ecofriendly manner is the need of the hour. Therefore, the present review emphasizes the synthesis methods, modes of action under dissipative conditions and the various biomedical applications of AgNPs in detail.

Abstract
Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have attracted wide interest due to its broad range of applications. This study aims to describe the biosynthesis of AgNPs using an Arctic anti-oxidative bacterium Arc7-R13 and to study its characteristics and antibacterial activity. The biosynthesis of AgNPs was verified using UV-Vis spectrum with the maximum absorption at 416 nm. The morphology of the silver nanoparticles was characterized by TEM and its characterization were investigated by EDX and FTIR. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that strain Arc7-R13 was affiliated with genus Paracoccus. TEM analysis revealed that the AgNPs synthesized by strain Arc7-R13 were spherical and ellipsoidal in shape with size ranging from 2 to 25 nm. The optimal concentration of AgNO3 and temperature for the biosynthesis were 4 mmol/L and 37 °C, respectively. EDX analysis verified the presence of the element silver in the biosynthesized AgNPs. FTIR analysis revealed that the specific functional groups, OH, CH3 and C≡N, might be responsible for reduction and stabilization of AgNPs. Antimicrobial test showed that the AgNPs had strong antimicrobial activity against all kinds of strains investigated, including Gram-positive Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli.
