Abstract
Renewable energy development is a key pathway for mitigating climate change. The Taiwan government has been actively developing low carbon green energy with solar photovoltaic technology and wind power as their primary development projects. Cigu Taiwan provides an ideal research site to examine tradeoffs between ecological conservation, marine fisheries, and green power development, and the factors affect commitments to ecological conservation in the face of these tradeoffs. This research investigates the fishery and electricity symbiosis project in Cigu through a novel combination of the theory of planned behavior and the contingent valuation method to analyze the factors influencing the local residents’ behavioral intentions to safeguard ecological achievements in ecologically fragile areas through conservation trust funds. Analysis of survey responses from a convenience sample of 715 residents and resource users in the Cigu area reports that attitudes (ATT), subjective norms (SN), perceived behavioral control (PBC), environmental concern (EC), and environmental risk (ER) significantly influence the behavioral intention to pay eco-compensation fees; the local residents’ willingness to pay for the conservation trust funds was NTD 621.4/year (USD 21.9/year), and decreased to NTD 545.9/year (USD 19.2/year) after the implementation of fishery and electricity symbiosis. The discussion section argues that the drivers of ATT, SN, PBC, EC, and ER can be used by policy makers to direct local residents’ intentions and behavior toward conserving ecological achievements in fragile eco-environmental areas through payments for ecosystem services. Thus, this strategy can improve the sustainability of ecological and environmental restoration programs.

Abstract
A zinc(ii) complex, [ZnL(H2O)]·H2O {H2L = 2,2′-[(2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediyl)bis(nitrilomethylidyne)]bis[6-ethoxyphenol]} has been synthesized and characterized by UV-vis and IR spectroscopy. The structure of the complex has been confirmed by X-ray crystallography and the noncovalent interactions characterized using Hirshfeld surface analysis. In addition to the conventional H-bonds involving the Zn-coordinated and non-coordinated water molecules, interesting C–H⋯π interactions between the H-atoms belonging to aliphatic part of the ligand (2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediyl) and the Zn-coordinated aromatic rings are established. These interactions have been studied using DFT calculations (PBE0-D3/def2-TZVP) and characterized using molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) surfaces and the noncovalent interaction (NCI) plot index analyses. The strength of the C–H⋯π interaction in the solid state of [ZnL(H2O)]·H2O has been evaluated using DFT calculations and also analysed using the MEP surface and NCI plot index computational tool.![]()

Abstract
2D/1D dimensionality tuning in LnMOFs is related to both (i) ligand-to-metal ratio and (ii) lanthanide contraction, this is only possible with Er/Tm, lighter lanthanides e.g. Pr only produced 2D MOFs, despite different ligand-to-metal ratios were used.

Abstract
Two structurally similar metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) [Dy2Cu4I3(IN)7(DMF)2]·DMF (1) and [Dy2Cu4I3(IN)7(DMA)2]·DMA (2) (HIN = isonicotinic acid) feathering different coordinated solvent molecules were successfully isolated by tuning the types of solvents in the reaction system. Structural tests indicate that 1 and 2 are both built from 1D Dy(III) chains and copper iodide clusters [Cu4I3], generating into three-dimensional frameworks with an open 1D channel along the a axis. 1 and 2 display extensive and excellent solvent stability. Magnetic studies of 1 and 2 indicate that they exhibit interesting solvent-dependent magnetization dynamics. Importantly, 1 and 2 can act as highly effective catalysts for the carboxylic cyclization of propargyl alcohols with carbon dioxide (CO2) under ambient operating conditions. Additionally, the substrate scope was further explored over compound 1 based on the optimal conditions, and it exhibits efficient cyclic carboxylation of various terminal propargylic alcohols with CO2. This research offers an effective approach for the solvent-guided synthesis of MOFs materials and also presents the great application value of MOFs in CO2 chemical conversion.

Abstract
While tremendous advancements in 2D materials anchoring Au nanoparticles have been made, it is an urgent challenge to explore a green and facile approach for obtaining small-size Au nanoparticles. The rise of 2D covalent organic framework (COF) presents more-promising candidates for constructing excellent sites for loading metal nanoparticles. In this study, a novel 2D heterogeneous hybrid nanomaterial (P6-Au-COF) based on COF and pillar[6]arene (P6) reduced Au nanoparticles (P6-Au) is prepared by a simple and green procedure. The Au nanoparticles with an average small diameter of 2-3 nm are homogeneously dispersed on the surface of the COF. The P6-Au-COF hybrid material shows highly catalytic performance for the reduction of nitrophenol isomers when compared with commercial Pd/C catalyst and other reported materials. The P6-Au-COF hybrid material exhibits durable recyclablility and stability during the catalytic reaction. Considering the outstanding merits of the heterogeneous 2D catalyst of P6-Au-COF as well as the simple and green preparation, this research might not only present enormous opportunities for stabilized, high-performance and sustainable catalysts, but be applied in other frontier study of sustainable functionalized nanocomposites and advanced materials.

Abstract
Mechanoresponsive luminescent materials coupled with other functionalities are of particular interest due to their multiple external stimuli responsive properties. In this paper, a new sensitive mechanoresponsive luminescent coordination polymer, [Cd(INI)(DMF)2·DMF] (1) (H2INI = N-(5-isophthalic acid)-1,8-naphthalimide), has been successfully designed and synthesized. Complex 1 exhibits interesting mechanoresponsive and grinding-enhanced luminescence properties, and its luminescence colour changed from weak blue-green to bright blue upon grinding owing to the external pressure-induced destruction of ππ stacked arrangements in local defective areas. Moreover, the luminescence properties and uncoordinated carbonyl groups of well-ground g-1 endow it with excellent sensing ability for Cr3+ ions. This work will provide a new perspective to rationally design multifunctional coordination polymers that can serve as practical multi-responsive sensors to pressure and chemicals.

Abstract
A new three-dimensional luminescence Zn-MOF sensor with the molecular formula [Zn4(μ3-OH)2(ptptc)1.5(DMA)(H2O)2]·2DMA (complex 1) for the selective sensing of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (2,4-DNPH), picric acid (PA), La3+ and Ca2+ has been synthesized from terphenyl-3,3',5,5'-tetracarboxylic acid (H4ptptc) and zinc nitrate under solvothermal conditions. XRD analysis reveals that complex 1 crystallizes in monoclinic system P21/n space group and consists of a three-dimensional network with one-dimensional channels, which are expected to facilitate the diffusion, concentration and detection processes. Real-time fluorescence quenching responses and good reversibility were observed in the fluorescence titration experiments with nano-molar scale detection limits for 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (2,4-DNPH, 100 nM) and picric acid (PA, 500 nM). Noticeable emission band shift from 365 nm to 420 nm was observed when treated complex 1 with La3+ and a new emission band centered at 475 nm appeared when treated complex 1 with Ca2+ in the metal ions sensing experiments. In virtue of its high selectively, good sensitively and recyclability complex 1 could be a promising fluorescent sensor for explosives and metal ions.

Abstract
Lanthanide MOFs (Ln-MOFs), {[Ln2(L)2(H2O)2]·5H2O·6DMAC}n, [Ln||| = Eu(1) and Tb(2); H3L = 4,4'-(((5-carboxy-1,3-phenylene)bis(azanediyl))bis(carbonyl)) dibenzoic acid, DMAC = N,N'-dimethylacetamide], with a new topology type have been isolated. Single crystal X-ray diffraction indicates that complexes 1 and 2 are isostructural with binuclear [Eu2(COO)7]n secondary building units as 7-connected nodes and H3L ligands as 3-connected nodes and can be viewed as a (5,7)-connected 3D framework with a new topological point symbol of {32·44·54} {34·46·56·65}. Complexes 1 and 2 exhibit an excellent luminescence sensing response to inorganic ions Fe3+, Cr2O72-, MnO4- and 4-nitrophenol, with a low detection limit and high Ksv value. Interestingly, when the MnO4- ions are detected, the color of the solid sample is observed to change from yellow to brown, visually indicating luminescence induction, which makes the process of detecting MnO4- ions simpler and more practical. Moreover, by using time-resolved photoluminescence techniques, complex 1 can effectively eliminate background fluorescence interference during detection and improve detection accuracy. Solvent luminescence studies, pH stability and PXRD data indicate that complexes 1 and 2 can be used as excellent water-stable multi-response luminescent sensors for detecting a wide variety of toxic substances. In addition, the mechanism of selective detection is explained by the energy competition between the excitation of complexes 1 and 2 and the ultraviolet absorption of the responsive substance.
