Abstract
The palladium anchored to BisPyP@bilayer-SiO2@NMP organic-inorganic hybrid was employed as an effective and recyclable organometallic catalyst in Suzuki and Stille C-C coupling reactions. The structure of this magnetic nanocatalyst was determined using various techniques such as SEM, TEM, FT-IR, EDS, ICP-OES, VSM, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, XRD, and TGA. In both of the mentioned coupling paths, the yields of the products were very favorable and ranged from 90 to 98%. Also, they had significant features compared to previous reports, such as very short reaction time (5-15 and 7-20 min respectively in the Suzuki and Stille reactions), easy work-up, broad substrate scope, ease of separation of the catalyst using a magnet, suitable reproducibility of the catalyst in 6 runs, heterogeneous nature of the catalyst and not washing it during consecutive runs with confirmation of hot filtration and ICP-OES methods.

Abstract
Green synthesis of nanoparticles (NPs) is eco-friendly, biocompatible, cost-effective, and highly stable. In the present study, Citrus sinensis peel extract was utilized to the fabrication of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs). The fabricated SPIONs were first characterized using UV-Visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The UV-Vis spectra analysis displayed a peak at 259 nm due to the surface plasmon resonance. The FTIR spectrum showed bands at 3306 cm-1, and 1616 cm-1 revealed the protein's involvement in the development and capping of NPs. TEM analysis indicated that green synthesized SPIONs were spherical in shape with particle size of 20-24 nm. Magnetization measurements indicate that the synthesized SPIONs exhibited superparamagnetic behavior at room temperature. The antimicrobial activity, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), antioxidant potential, anti-inflammatory effect, and catalytic degradation of methylene blue by SPIONs were investigated in this study. Results demonstrated that SPIONs had variable antimicrobial effect against different pathogenic multi-drug resistant bacteria. At the highest concentration (400 μg/mL), SPIONs showed inhibition zones (14.7-37.3 mm) against all the target isolates. Furthermore, the MIC of synthesized SPIONs against Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, and Candida albicans were 3, 6.5, 6.5, 12.5, 50, 25 μg/mL, respectively. SPIONs exhibited strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and catalytic dye degradation activities. Interestingly, Fe3O4 SPIONs shows optimum magnetic hyperthermia (MHT) techniques under an alternating magnetic field (AMF) measured in specific absorption rate (SAR) of 164, 230, and 286 W/g at concentrations 1, 5, and 10 mg/mL, respectively. Additionally, these newly fabricated SPIONs virtually achieve significant execution under the AMF in fluid MHT and are suitable for biomedical applications.

Abstract
This study reports optimized conditions for the green synthesis of iron (II,III) oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4 NPs) from Tamarindus indica (T. indica) leaf extract. The synthetic parameters like concentration of leaf extract, solvent system, buffer, electrolyte, pH, and time were optimized for Fe3O4 NPs synthesis. Fe3O4 NPs were obtained from the synthesis protocol by measuring size (80 ± 3 nm approx.), characteristics color changes, and an absorption peak between 270 nm and 280 nm using a UV-visible spectrophotometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM), and an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS) study. Peroxidase activity was tested with 3,3,5,5-Tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) oxidation in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and dye removal activity was tested with malachite green (MG). The results indicated that the successful synthesis of Fe3O4 nanoparticles using aqueous leaf extract of T. indica is a practical alternative for biomedical applications due to its potent peroxidase activity and high dye removal capacity (about 93% with UV light and 55% with room light).

Abstract
Artificially mimicking structures/morphologies available in the nature to develop multifunctional materials for catalysis is receiving greater attention. Particularly, the burdock flower morphology, which has a hollow-globe surrounded by spiky sheets, represents a multifunctional structure helpful in adsorption as well as intercalation of molecules. Given this, we have strategically developed a robust microwave (MW) bubble-template process to achieve highly uniform α-Fe2O3 and carbon-enriched Fe3O4 (Fe3O4@C) phases resembling the characteristics of spiky hollow burdock morphologies. The utilization of the MW bubble-templates as a pretreatment to the iron-based precursor solution helps in producing hollowed open-space ferrous glycolate burdock flower morphology with rapid production rate and without any addition of extra agents. Such burdock flower structures remain intact even after annealing in air/N2 ambiance providing highly photoactive α-Fe2O3 or magnetic Fe3O4@C, respectively. Utilizing the hollow burdock flower structures together with the individual photo/magnetic properties of iron oxide phases, a dual-layer filter was designed to remove hazardous dye molecules from water, which efficiently photodegraded (99.2 %) in natural sunlight as well as showed excellent adsorption (99.7 %) within minutes. Comparatively, a lower catalytic activity using simple iron oxide nanoparticles, closed, and faded burdock morphologies were seen. Hence, the high catalytic activity in removing the dye molecules, retention of structural phases after repeated use, and strong durability were a result of the synergetic effect of photo/magnetic properties, activated surface/spiky open burdock structure.

Abstract
This review emphasizes the win-win one-pot valorization process of different waste biomass that composed of many biological macromolecules (e.g. polysaccharides, polyphenols, carbohydrates, lipids, enzymes, proteins, etc.) and other biomolecules (e.g. alkaloids, terpenoids, tannins, phenolics, carotenoids, amino acids, sugars, vitamins, etc.) into biofunctionalized magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles (BMNPs). It illustrates the sustainable recruitment of microbial intra- and extra-cellular metabolites, proteins, and/or enzymes in the biosynthesis of BMNPs. It elucidates the environmental affluence of such sustainable, cost-effective, and ecofriendly BMNPs as an antimicrobial agent for water disinfection, photo-degrader, and adsorbent for different xenobiotics, organic and inorganic water pollutants. It confers the future environmental aspects of BMNPs in biofuels production from lipids and lignocellulosic wastes, biosensors manufacturing and bio-upgrading of petroleum fractions, etc. It discusses the circular economy, challenges, and opportunities for scaling up the zero-waste green synthesis of MNPs. Nevertheless, imminent investigations are still needed to elucidate the exact rule of biological macro- and micro- molecules in BMNPs synthesis and mechanisms involved in its microbicidal and photodegradation activities. Accentuated researches are more required on the toxicity and/or biosafety of the green synthesized BMNPs to humans and other non-target organisms to ensure its eco-safety upon environmental applications.

Abstract
In this study, we prepared chitosan (CS)-coated iron oxide (Fe3O4) nanocomposites (NCs) by employing the aqueous leaf extract of Brassica oleracea L. and evaluated its antimicrobial potential. The characterization of hybrid CS-Fe3O4 NCs was performed using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis to evaluate the chemical bonding of chitosan to nanoparticles (NPs). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) studies revealed the presence of oxidation state elements Fe 2p, O 1s, N 1s, and C 1s, and the zeta potential analysis was found to have well-colloidal stability (+ 76.9 mV) of NCs. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis determined that CS-Fe3O4 NCs were spherical with an average particle size of 27 nm. The X-ray diffractometer (XRD) spectrum ascertained the crystallinity of the hybrid NCs and the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) inferred the ferromagnetic behavior of the synthesized NCs. Furthermore, the significant antibacterial efficacy of NPs was demonstrated against foodborne bacterial pathogens, such as Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and Escherichia coli (E. coli), and the highest zone of inhibition was observed to be 11.5 mm and 13.5 mm in CS-Fe3O4 NCs, respectively. In comparison with Fe3O4 NPs, synergistic impacts of CS-Fe3O4 NCs displayed great antibacterial potential as exhibited by a clearly enlarged zone. Thus, CS-Fe3O4 NCs could be used as efficacious antimicrobial agents in food packaging and food preservation fields.
