Designing a medical information diagnosis platform with IoT integration

In order to enhance the operational efficiency of the healthcare industry, this paper investigates a medical information diagnostic platform through the application of swarm and evolutionary algorithms. This paper begins with an analysis of the current development status of medical information diagnostic platforms based on Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT) and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Subsequently, a comprehensive exploration of the advantages and disadvantages of swarm and evolutionary algorithms within the medical information diagnostic platform is presented. Further, the optimization of the swarm algorithm is achieved through reverse learning and Gaussian functions. The rationality and effectiveness of the proposed optimization algorithm are validated through horizontal comparative experiments. Experimental results demonstrate that the optimized model achieves favorable performance at the levels of minimum, average, and maximum algorithm fitness values. Additionally, preprocessing data in a 10 * 10 server configuration enhances the algorithm's fitness values. The minimum fitness value obtained by the optimized algorithm is 3.56, representing a 3 % improvement compared to the minimum value without sorting. In comparative experiments on algorithm stability, the optimized algorithm exhibits the best stability, with further enhancement observed when using sorting algorithms. Therefore, this paper not only provides a new perspective for the field of medical information diagnostics but also offers effective technical support for practical applications in medical information processing.

Cardiac arrest prediction in smokers using enhanced Artificial Bee Colony algorithm with stacked autoencoder model

In the recent times, the cardiac arrest is a severe heart disease, which results in millions of annual casualties. In this article, the heart rate variability (HRV) parameters are used for predicting cardiac arrest in smokers based on the deep learning techniques. First, the input data is collected from MITU Skillogies dataset, which consists of 1562 smoker and non-smoker instances with 19 HRV input attributes/features. After data collection, the enhanced Artificial Bee Colony algorithm (EABC) is developed for feature selection. The EABC algorithm includes two new multi-objective functions for decreasing the number of attributes in the MITU Skillogies dataset. This mechanism superiorly reduces the burden of computational complexity and improves classification accuracy. Further, the selected attributes are given to the stacked autoencoder classifier for non-cardiac arrest and cardiac arrest classification in smokers for early diagnosis. The extensive experiment showed that the EABC with stacked autoencoder model obtained 96.26% of classification accuracy, which is better related to the traditional machine learning models.

An Improved New Caledonian Crow Learning Algorithm for Global Function Optimization

The New Caledonian crow learning algorithm (NCCLA) is a novel metaheuristic algorithm inspired by the learning behavior of New Caledonian crows learning to make tools to obtain food. However, it suffers from the problems of easily falling into local optima and insufficient convergence accuracy and convergence precision. To further improve the convergence performance of NCCLA, an improved New Caledonian crow learning algorithm (INCCLA) is proposed in this paper. By determining the parent individuals based on the cosine similarity, the juveniles are guided to search toward different ranges to maintain the population diversity; a novel hybrid mechanism of complete and incomplete learning is proposed to balance the exploration and exploitation capabilities of the algorithm; the update strategy of juveniles and parent individuals is improved to enhance the convergence speed and precision of the algorithm. The test results of the CEC2013 and CEC2020 test suites show that, compared with the original NCCLA algorithm and four of the best metaheuristics to date, INCCLA has significant advantages in terms of convergence speed, convergence precision, and stability.
