Abstract
Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is one of the most prevalent and severe complications associated with diabetes mellitus (DM). The onset of DCM is insidious, with the symptoms being obvious only in the late stage. Consequently, the early diagnosis of DCM is a formidable challenge which significantly influences the treatment and prognosis of DCM. Thus, it becomes imperative to uncover innovative approaches to facilitate the prompt identification and diagnosis of DCM. On the traditional clinical side, we tend to use serum biomarkers as well as imaging as the most common means of diagnosing diseases because of their convenience as well as affordability. As we delve deeper into the mechanisms of DCM, a wide variety of biomarkers are becoming competitive diagnostic indicators. Meanwhile, the application of multiple imaging techniques has also made efforts to promote the diagnosis of DCM. Besides, the spurt in sequencing technology has made it possible to give hints about disease diagnosis from the genome as well as the transcriptome, making diagnosis less difficult, more sensitive, and more predictive. Overall, sequencing technology is expected to be the superior choice of plasma biomarkers for detecting lesions at an earlier stage than imaging, and its judicious utilization combined with imaging technologies will lead to a more sensitive diagnosis of DCM in the future. Therefore, this review meticulously consolidates the progress and utilization of various biomarkers, imaging methods, and sequencing technologies in the realm of DCM diagnosis, with the aim of furnishing novel theoretical foundation and guide future research endeavors towards enhancing the diagnostic and therapeutic landscape of DCM.

Abstract
The World Health Organization aims to stop the rise of diabetes by 2025, and diet is one of the most efficient non-pharmacological strategies used to prevent it. Resveratrol (RSV) is a natural compound with anti-diabetic properties, and incorporating it into bread is a suitable way to make it more accessible to consumers as it can be included as part of their daily diet. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of RSV-enriched bread in preventing early type 2 diabetes cardiomyopathy in vivo. Male Sprague Dawley rats (3 weeks old) were divided into four groups: controls with plain bread (CB) and RSV bread (CBR), and diabetics with plain bread (DB) and RSV bread (DBR). Type 2 diabetes was induced by adding fructose to the drinking water for two weeks followed by an injection of streptozotocin (STZ) (40 mg/kg). Then, plain bread and RSV bread (10 mg RSV/kg body weight) were included in the rats' diet for four weeks. Cardiac function, anthropometric, and systemic biochemical parameters were monitored, as well as the histology of the heart and molecular markers of regeneration, metabolism, and oxidative stress. Data showed that an RSV bread diet decreased the polydipsia and body weight loss observed in the early stages of the disease. At the cardiac level, an RSV bread diet diminished fibrosis but did not counteract the dysfunction and metabolic changes seen in fructose-fed STZ-injected rats.

Abstract
Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a pathophysiological condition of cardiac structure and function changes in diabetic patients without coronary artery disease, hypertension, and other types of heart diseases. DCM is not uncommon in people with diabetes, which increases the risk of heart failure. However, the treatment is scarce, and the prognosis is poor. Since 1972, one clinical study after another on DCM has been conducted. However, the complex phenotype of DCM still has not been fully revealed. This dilemma hinders the pace of understanding the essence of DCM and makes it difficult to carry out penetrating clinical or basic research. This review summarizes the literature on DCM over the last 40 years and discusses the overall perspective of DCM, phase of progression, potential clinical indicators, diagnostic and screening criteria, and related randomized controlled trials to understand DCM better.

Abstract
The aim of this narrative review is to update the current knowledge on the differential choice of circulating cardiac biomarkers in patients with prediabetes and established type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). There are numerous circulating biomarkers with unconfirmed abilities to predict clinical outcomes in pre-DM and DM individuals; the prognostication ability of the cardiac biomarkers reported here has been established, and they are still being studied. The conventional cardiac biomarkers, such as natriuretic peptides (NPs), soluble suppressor tumorigenisity-2, high-sensitivity circulating cardiac troponins and galectin-3, were useful to ascertain cardiovascular (CV) risk. Each cardiac biomarker has its strengths and weaknesses that affect the price of usage, specificity, sensitivity, predictive value and superiority in face-to-face comparisons. Additionally, there have been confusing reports regarding their abilities to be predictably relevant among patients without known CV disease. The large spectrum of promising cardiac biomarkers (growth/differential factor-15, heart-type fatty acid-binding protein, cardiotrophin-1, carboxy-terminal telopeptide of collagen type 1, apelin and non-coding RNAs) is discussed in the context of predicting CV diseases and events in patients with known prediabetes and T2DM. Various reasons have been critically discussed related to the variable findings regarding biomarker-based prediction of CV risk among patients with metabolic disease. It was found that NPs and hs-cTnT are still the most important tools that have an affordable price as well as high sensitivity and specificity to predict clinical outcomes among patients with pre-DM and DM in routine clinical practice, but other circulating biomarkers need to be carefully investigated in large trials in the future.

Abstract
Background To analyze the cardio-protective effects of ticagrelor in patients with acute coronary syndrome with S-T segment elevation. Methods The sample was 200 patients who had been diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome accompanied by diabetes Mellitus type II. Only patients having ST segment elevation before the treatment were included. Then, the subjects were further randomly divided into an observation group and a control group. The control group of 100 patients received clopidogrel; the observation group of 100 patients of ticagrelor. The serous creatine kinase CK-MB, functional cardiac indexes of left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVDD), cardiac troponin I, ventricular ejection fraction, and relevant major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) were compared between the two groups. Results One month after a percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) the observation group showed better results against angina, stent thrombosis, and all-cause mortality compared with those of the control subjects. Six months after treatment, both groups suffered adverse reactions. The number of patients who suffered adverse reactions in respiratory tract in the observation group was higher than in the control group. The inhibition of platelet aggregation IPA of ticagrelor was found to be significantly higher than clopidogrel, having a significant p value. Conclusion Ticagrelor can effectively protect myocardial function for patients with ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome accompanied by diabetes and can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions..

Abstract
The value of conventional echocardiography is limited by differences in inter-individual image interpretation and therefore largely dependent on the examiners' expertise. Speckle tracking Echocardiography (STE) is a promising but technically challenging method that can be used to quantitatively assess regional and global systolic and diastolic myocardial performance. Myocardial strain and strain rate can be measured in all three dimensions - radial, circumferential, longitudinal - of myocardial deformation. Standard cross-sectional two-dimensional B-mode images are recorded and subsequently postprocessed by automated continuous frame-by-frame tracking and motion analysis of speckles within the myocardium. Images are recorded as digital loops and synchronized to a 3-lead EKG for timing purposes. Longitudinal deformation is assessed in the apical 4-, 3-, and 2-chamber views. Circumferential and radial deformation are measured in the parasternal short axis plane. Optimal image quality and accurate tissue tracking are paramount for the correct determination of myocardial performance parameters. Utilizing transthoracic STE in a healthy volunteer, the present article is a detailed outline of the essential steps and potential pitfalls of quantitative echocardiographic myocardial deformation analysis.
