Abstract
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are of great interest for energy applications due to their high porosity, high charge storage capacity, and large number of active redox sites. It is important to enhance the performance of metal-organic frameworks through modification in order to increase their potential applications. Unique Fe nanoparticle (NP) in the Materials of Institute Lavoisier (MIL) series embedded in the carbon nanotube (CNT), FeNP@MIL-101(Fe)/CNT-based, nanocomposites have been synthesized using suitable hierarchical micromesoporous structures. These were fabricated by simple and straightforward solvothermal methods, and their electrochemical charge storage performance was investigated. The energy storage application using the FeNP@MIL -101(Fe)/CNT composite as a supercapacitor electrode was implemented for the first time. Various techniques were used to characterize this composite. It has excellent electrochemical properties when used as electrode material in 1 M KOH solution, including a high capacitance of up to 1305 F g-1 at 1 A g-1 and a long cycling stability of 95.7% capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles. Moreover, symmetric two-electrode electrochemical experiments showed that the composite achieved an energy density of 98.65 Wh kg-1 and a power density of 9000 W kg-1, The combination of microporous and mesoporous structures, increased surface area, and higher electrical conductivity are the main reasons for the high performance. The integration of FeNP@MIL-101(Fe) with the CNT creates new ion diffusion pathways, improves the hierarchical pore properties, and exposes the FeNP@MIL-101(Fe) cluster to more redox active sites, which improves the charge storage performance.

Abstract
As the most widely used metal material in supercapacitors, manganese (Mn)-based materials possess the merits of high theoretical capacitance, stable structure as well as environmental friendliness. However, due to poor conductivity and easy accumulation, the practical capacitance of Mn-based materials is far lower than that of theoretical value. Therefore, accurate structural adjustment and controllable strategies are urgently needed to optimize the electrochemical properties of Mn-based materials. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are porous materials with high specific surface area (SSA), tunable pore size, and controllable structure. These features make them attractive as precursors or scaffold for the synthesis of metal-based materials and composites, which are important for electrochemical energy storage applications. Therefore, a timely and comprehensive review on the classification, design, preparation and application of Mn-based MOFs and their derivatives for supercapacitors has been given in this paper. The recent advancement of Mn-based MOFs and their derivatives applied in supercapacitor electrodes are particularly highlighted. Finally, the challenges faced by Mn-MOFs and their derivatives for supercapacitors are summarized, and strategies to further improve their performance are proposed. The aspiration is that this review will serve as a beneficial compass, guiding the logical creation of Mn-based MOFs and their derivatives in the future.

Abstract
In this work, a three-dimensional bimetallic metal-organic framework (BMOF), BUC-101 (Co/Mn-H6chhc, H6chhc = cis-1,2,3,4,5,6-cyclohexane-hexacarboxylic acid, BUC = Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture) was synthesized by a one-pot solvothermal method and characterized in detail by single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) element mapping analysis. BUC-101 showed excellent catalytic peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation performance to degrade rhodamine B (RhB) without energy input. In addition, BUC-101 can maintain good stability and recyclability during the PMS activation processes, in which 99.9% RhB degradation efficiencies could be accomplished in 5 operational runs. The possible PMS activation and RhB degradation mechanisms of the BUC-101/PMS system were proposed and affirmed.

Abstract
Recently, the development of new materials and devices has become the main research focus in the field of energy. Supercapacitors (SCs) have attracted significant attention due to their high power density, fast charge/discharge rate, and excellent cycling stability. With a lamellar structure, 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (2D TMDs) emerge as electrode materials for SCs. Although many 2D TMDs with excellent energy storage capability have been reported, further optimization of electrode materials and devices is still needed for competitive electrochemical performance. Previous reviews have focused on the performance of 2D TMDs as electrode materials in SCs, especially on their modification. Herein, the effects of element doping, morphology, structure and phase, composite, hybrid configuration, and electrolyte are emphatically discussed on the overall performance of 2D TMDs-based SCs from the perspective of device optimization. Finally, the opportunities and challenges of 2D TMDs-based SCs in the field are highlighted, and personal perspectives on methods and ideas for high-performance energy storage devices are provided.

Abstract
Supercapacitors have gained significant attention owing to their exceptional performance in terms of energy density and power density, making them suitable for various applications, such as mobile devices, electric vehicles, and renewable energy storage systems. This review focuses on recent advancements in the utilization of 0-dimensional to 3-dimensional carbon network materials as electrode materials for high-performance supercapacitor devices. This study aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the potential of carbon-based materials in enhancing the electrochemical performance of supercapacitors. The combination of these materials with other cutting-edge materials, such as Transition Metal Dichalcogenides (TMDs), MXenes, Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs), graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4), Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Black Phosphorus (BP), and perovskite nanoarchitectures, has been extensively studied to achieve a wide operating potential window. The combination of these materials synchronizes their different charge-storage mechanisms to attain practical and realistic applications. The findings of this review indicate that hybrid composite electrodes with 3D structures exhibit the best potential in terms of overall electrochemical performance. However, this field faces several challenges and promising research directions. This study aimed to highlight these challenges and provide insights into the potential of carbon-based materials in supercapacitor applications.

Abstract
A new integration strategy of transition metal sulfide with carbon-based materials is used to boost its catalytic property and electrochemical performances in supercapacitor application. Herein, crystalline reduced graphene oxide (rGO) wrapped ternary metal sulfide nanorod composites with different rGO ratios are synthesized using hydrothermal technique and are compared for their physical, chemical, and electrochemical performances. It is found that their properties are tuned by the weight ratios of rGO. The electrochemical investigations reveal that β-NiCu2S/rGO nanocomposite electrode with 0.15 wt.% of rGO is found to possess maximum specific capacitance of 1583 F g-1 at current density of 15 mA g-1 in aqueous electrolyte medium. The same electrode shows excellent cycling stability with capacitance retention of 89% after 5000 charging/discharging cycles. The reproducibility test performed on NiCu2S/rGO nanocomposite electrode with 0.15 wt.% of rGO indicates that it has high reproducible capacitive response and rate capability. Thus, the present work demonstrates that the β-NiCu2S/rGO nanocomposite can serve as a potential electrode material for developing supercapacitor energy storage system.
