Abstract
Herein, a single-metal (Pd) site with high surface energy was stabilized and dispersed on a support (zirconia) via a stabilizing agent (phosphomolybdic acid) using a wet chemistry method. HRTEM and HAADF-STEM showed a highly uniform dispersion of Pd SASc on PMA/ZrO2. The Pd SASc showed superior catalytic activity (>99% conversion) for the Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction, which was further feasible for catalyzing mechanistically different nitro hydrogenation reactions in tandem fusion under mild reaction conditions. This catalyst showed outstanding activity (100% conversion and 99% selectivity) with a substrate/catalyst ratio of 927 and TON of 918 using a very low amount of Pd (0.94 × 10-3 mmol) for the tandem Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling/nitro hydrogenation reaction. It also exhibited superior stability and reusability for up to three cycles without any change in its activity.

Abstract
Metal nanoparticles have been deeply studied in the last few decades due to their attractive physical and chemical properties, finding a wide range of applications in several fields. Among them, well-defined nano-structures can combine the main advantages of heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts. Especially, catalyzed multi-step processes for the production of added-value chemicals represent straightforward synthetic methodologies, including tandem and sequential reactions that avoid the purification of intermediate compounds. In particular, palladium- and copper-based nanocatalysts are often applied, becoming a current strategy in the sustainable synthesis of fine chemicals. The rational tailoring of nanosized materials involving both those immobilized on solid supports and liquid phases and their applications in organic synthesis are herein reviewed.

Abstract
Creatine as the nitrogen-rich, green and cheap compound is used for modification of natural bentonite and the resulting material is employed for the stabilization of Palladium nanoparticles having an average diameter of 3 nm. This new material bento-crt@Pd is characterized using different techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), solid state UV-vis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). This green catalyst promotes efficient reduction of aromatic nitro compounds in aqueous media. By using this catalyst nitroarenes having electron donating as well as electron withdrawing groups were reduced efficiently to their corresponding amines at room temperature. The catalyst can be recycled seven times and the reused catalyst was characterized by TEM and XPS.

Abstract
The evolution of individual palladium nanoparticle (PdNP) catalysts in graphitised nanofibres (GNF) in the liquid-phase Suzuki-Miyaura (SM) reaction has been appraised. The combination of identical location-transmission electron microscopy (IL-TEM) and a nano test tube approach allowed spatiotemporally continuous observations at the single nanoparticle level, revealing that migration and coalescence is the most significant pathway to coarsening of the nanocatalyst, rather than Ostwald ripening. IL-TEM gave unprecedented levels of detail regarding the movement of PdNP on carbon surfaces at the nanoscale, including size-dependent migration and directional movement, opening horizons for the optimisation of future catalysts through surface morphology design.

Abstract
Novel magnetically recyclable Fe3O4@Pd nanoparticles (NPs) were favorably synthesized by fixing palladium on the surface of nitrogen-doped magnetic nanocomposites. These catalysts were fully characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TG), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The prepared catalyst exhibited good catalytic activity for Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reactions of aryl or heteroaryl halides (I, Br, Cl) with arylboronic acids. These as-prepared catalysts could be readily isolated from the reaction liquid by an external magnet and reused at least ten times with excellent yields achieved. In addition, using this protocol, the marketed drug crizotinib (anti-tumor) could be easily synthesized.
