Metallic nanoparticles can be synthesized and modified with various chemical functional groups,
which allow them to be conjugated with antibodies, ligands, and drugs of interest.
:
In this article, the novel developments to enhance the performance of sensor modified with metal nanoparticles
of pharmaceuticals were reviewed. A discussion of the properties of metal nanostructures
and their application in drug analysis is presented. Their application as a modifier agent in determining
low levels of drugs in pharmaceutical dosage forms and biological samples is discussed. It has been
found that the electrocatalytic effect of the electrode, sensitivity and selectivity were increased using

Abstract
Purpose: Herein we introduce a simple and sensitive sensor for the electrochemical determination of neurotransmitters compounds and anti-Parkinson drugs.
Methods: The electrochemical sensor (Au/CILCE) based on gold nanoclusters modified carbon ionic liquid crystal (ILC) electrode was characterized using scanning electron microscopy and voltammetry measurements.
Results: The effect of ionic liquid type in the carbon paste composite for the electro-catalytic oxidation of L-dopa was evaluated. Highest current response was obtained in case of ILC compared to other studied kinds of ionic liquids. The effective combination of gold nanoclusters and ILC resulted in extra advantages including large surface area and high ionic conductivity of the nanocomposite. L-dopa is considered one of the most important prescribed medicines for treating Parkinson’s disease. Moreover, a binary therapy using L-dopa and carbidopa proved effective and promising as it avoids the short comings of L-dopa mono-therapy for Parkinson’s patients. The Au/CILCE can detect L-dopa in human serum in the linear concentration range of 0.1 μM to 90 μM with detection and quantification limits of 4.5 nM and 15.0 nM, respectively. Also, the Au/CILCE sensor can simultaneously and sensitively detect L-dopa in the presence of carbidopa with low detection limits.
Conclusion: The sensor is advantageous to be applicable for electrochemical sensing of other biologically electroactive species.

Abstract
Background:
Application of electrochemical sensors for analysis of food, biological and
water polluting compounds helps to speed up their analysis in the real samples. Electrochemical sensors
with low cost, fast response and portable ability are a better choice compared to traditional
methods for analysis of electro-active compounds such as HPLC. Therefore, in recent years, many
analytical scientists have suggested this type of analytical method for analysis of food, biological
compounds and water pollutants.
Objective:
Due to low cost, easy modification and low non-faradic current, the carbon paste electrode
is a suitable choice as a working electrode in the electrochemical and especially voltammetric analysis.
On the other hand, modification of carbon paste electrode can improve the quality of the sensor
for the analysis of electroactive compounds at nanomolar level.

Abstract
A highly sensitive electrochemical sensor based on a carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with molecularly imprinted polymeric microspheres (MIPMSs) was developed for the determination of bisphenol A (BPA). For the first time BPA-imprinted MIPMSs were prepared via distillation precipitation polymerization, and then the polymeric microspheres were involved in producing the MIPMS-modified CPE (MIPMS/CPE). The polymers obtained were observed via a scanning electron microscope and its dynamic and static adsorption performances were investigated. Cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were performed to study the preparation process and electrochemical behavior of the modified carbon paste electrodes with [Fe(CN)6]3-/4- ions acting as electrical indicators. Compared with the bulk MIP packed sensor, the MIPMS/CPE exhibits a higher sensing response and better reproducibility. The detection linear range for BPA is 1 × 10-11-1 × 10-7 M with a detection limit of 2.8 × 10-12 M (S/N = 3) under the optimal experimental conditions. Moreover, the MIPMS/CPE exhibited good selectivity and stability. The developed sensor can determine BPA in real samples including soil, milk and water rapidly and accurately after simple sample pretreatment.
