Abstract
Infrared light driven photocatalytic reduction of atmospheric CO2 is challenging due to the ultralow concentration of CO2 (0.04 %) and the low energy of infrared light. Herein, we develop a metallic nickel-based metal-organic framework loaded with Pt (Pt/Ni-MOF), which shows excellent activity for thermal-photocatalytic conversion of atmospheric CO2 with H2 even under infrared light irradiation. The open Ni sites are beneficial to capture and activate atmospheric CO2 , while the photogenerated electrons dominate H2 dissociation on the Pt sites. Simultaneously, thermal energy results in spilling of the dissociated H2 to Ni sites, where the adsorbed CO2 is thermally reduced to CO and CH4 . The synergistic interplay of dual-active-sites renders Pt/Ni-MOF a record efficiency of 9.57 % at 940 nm for converting atmospheric CO2 , enables the procurement of CO2 to be independent of the emission sources, and improves the energy efficiency for trace CO2 conversion by eliminating the capture media regeneration and molecular CO2 release.

Coordination Compounds of Cu, Zn, and Ni with Dicarboxylic Acids and N Donor Ligands, and Their Biological Activity: A Review. Molecules 2023; 28:molecules28031445. Abstract
Complexes of carboxylic acids are very often studied due to their interesting structural, spectral, and magnetic properties. This review is focused on complexes of four dicarboxylic acids, namely, 2,2'-thiodioacetic, 3,3'-thiodipropionic, 3,3'-dithiodipropionic, and fumaric acid. Many of the complexes were characterized by single crystal X-ray analyses. Without the analyses, it is very difficult to predict the coordination mode of carboxylate groups or nitrogen ligands on central atoms. Thus, structural properties are also discussed, as well as potential applications.

Abstract
The reaction of NiCl2 with fumaric acid and isonicotinamide in a basic solution produces the title complex, [Ni(C6H6N2O)2(H2O)4](C4H2O4). The nickel(II) ion of the complex cation and the fumarate anion are each located on an inversion centre. The NiII ion is coordinated octa-hedrally by four water O atoms and two N atoms of isonicotinamide mol-ecules. The fumarate anion is linked to neighbouring complex cations via Owater-H⋯Ofumarate hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, the complex cations are further linked by O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture. Hirshfeld surface analysis and two-dimensional fingerprint plots were used to analyse the inter-molecular inter-actions present in the crystal and indicate that the most important contributions for the crystal packing are from H⋯O/O⋯H (41.8%), H⋯H (35.3%) and H⋯C/C⋯H (10.2%) inter-actions.
