Abstract
Two new Ag(+) complexes with 3-bromoquinoline (3BrQ) have been synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis, FTIR, NMR and mass spectra. The studied complexes have the formula [Ag(3BrQ)(OAC)]; 1 and [Ag(3BrQ)3(TCA)]; 2 where OAC and TCA are acetate and trichloroacetate, respectively. Based on the DFT calculations, 1 and 2 showed distorted trigonal planar and distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. The electronic properties such as dipole moment (μ), polarizability (α0), HOMO and LUMO energies are calculated using the same level of theory. These electronic parameters were used to predict the nonlinear optical properties of the studied compounds. The studied silver complexes were predicted to be better nonlinear optical materials than urea. The electronic spectra of these complexes are calculated using the TD-DFT calculations. The infrared vibrational spectra were assigned based on the potential energy distribution (PED) analysis. The calculated (1)H NMR chemical shift values using GIAO approach showed good agreement with the experimental data. The intramolecular charge transfer interactions of the title molecules were studied by natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis.

Abstract
New N-methyl-C-2,4,6-trimethylphenylnitrone 1 has been synthesized starting from N-methylhydroxylamine and mesitaldehyde. The product was fully characterized using different spectroscopic techniques; FTIR, NMR, UV-Vis, high resolution mass spectrometry and X-ray diffraction. The relative stability and percent of population of its two possible isomers (E and Z) were calculated using the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) method in gas phase and in solution. In agreement with the X-ray results, it was found that Z-isomer is the most stable one in both gas phase and solution. The molecular geometry, vibrational frequencies, gauge-including atomic orbital (GIAO), and chemical shift values were also calculated using the same level of theory. The TD-DFT results of the studied nitrone predicted a π-π(∗) transition band at 285.1nm (fosc=0.3543) in the gas phase. The rest of the spectral bands undergo either hyperchromic or hypsochromic shifts in the presence of solvent. Polarizability and HOMO-LUMO gap values were used to predict the nonlinear optical properties (NLO) of the studied compound. NBO analysis has been used to determine the most accurate Lewis structure of the studied molecule.

Abstract
We have synthesized ethyl (2E)-3-amino-2-({[(4-benzoyl-1,5-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)carbonyl]amino}carbonothioyl)but-2-enoate (2) by the reaction of 4-benzoyl-1,5-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carbonyl chloride (1), ammonium thiocyanate and ethyl 3-aminobut-2-enoate and then characterized by elemental analyses, IR, Raman, (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR and X-ray diffraction methods. The experimental and theoretical vibrational spectra of 2 were investigated. The experimental FT-IR (4000-400 cm(-1)) and Laser-Raman spectra (4000-100 cm(-1)) of the molecule in the solid phase were recorded. Theoretical vibrational frequencies and geometric parameters (bond lengths, bond angles) were calculated using Ab Initio Hartree Fock (HF), Density Functional Theory (B3LYP) methods with 6-311++G(d,p) basis set by Gaussian 09W program. The computed values of frequencies are scaled using a suitable scale factor to yield good coherence with the observed values. The assignments of the vibrational frequencies were performed by potential energy distribution (PED) analysis by using VEDA 4 program. The theoretical optimized geometric parameters and vibrational frequencies were compared with the corresponding experimental X-ray diffraction data, and they were seen to be in a good agreement with each other. Also, the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energies were calculated.

Abstract
This study represents the conformation, tautomeric stability, protonation and deprotonation effects, vibrational, electronic, NBO and NMR aspects of 2,4-Dioxoimidazolidine-5-acetic acid (DOIAA). Theoretical calculations were performed by ab initio HF and density functional theory (DFT)/B3LYP method using 6-311++G(d,p) basis sets. Tautomerism and the effect of solvent on the tautomeric equilibria in the gas phase and in different solvents were studied. The protonation and deprotonation effects on the reactivity and conformations of DOIAA were investigated. Electronic transitions were also studied and the most prominent transition corresponds to π→π*. Natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis was also carried out to find the intramolecular interactions and their stabilization energy. In DOIAA, the interaction between the lone pair donor orbital (n(LP1N5)) and the acceptor antibonding orbital π*(C6O7) reveals the strong stabilization energy of 224.9 kJ mol(-1). Molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) was calculated to predict the reactive sites of the title compound. The NMR results indicated that the observed chemical shifts for NH, COOH protons of DOIAA not only depend on the structure of the molecule being studied but also on the nature of the solvent, concentration of the sample and the presence of the other exchangeable protons.
