Abstract
The article divulges the crystal growth, synthesis, and X-ray structure characterization of one centrosymmetric cadmium complex, [Cd{CdL(μ2-1,3-acetate)}2] using Salen ligand (SL). The complex is further characterized using spectroscopic and analytical techniques, including DRS, SEM-EDX, PXRD, and ICP-MS. The crystallographic study showed that the complex has a monoclinic space P21/c. Addison parameters (Ʈ) show the hexagonal geometry of the central Cd(II) metal ion. Hirshfeld surface and 2-D fingerprint confirm supramolecular contacts despite weak C-H⋯O and C-H···π interactions. Energy frameworks, FMOs, global reactivity parameters, MEP, and energy bandgap explain the complex reactivity outlook. The complex inter- and intramolecular bonding interactions were explored through natural bond orbital (NBO), QTAIM, NCI-RDG, Electron Location Function (ELF), and Localized Orbital Locator (LOL) quantization methods. In addition, the complex and its synthetic components in vitro antibacterial efficacy were investigated using Gram-positive and Gram-negative microbial strains. SAR (structure-activity relationship) correlates with biological potency. Molecular docking assessed antimicrobial potency with proteins S. aureus (PDB ID: 1JIJ), C. albicans (PDB ID: 1M7A), E. coli (PDB ID: 1T9U), P. aeruginosa (PDB ID: 2UV0), and A. Niger (PDB ID: 3K4P). The findings are backed by the Protein-Ligand Interaction Profiler (PLIP). The antifungal potency and cell viability test of C. albicans were conducted using photodynamic therapy (APDT).

Abstract
The present work aims at exploring the high electrophilic character of 4-chloro-7-nitrobenzo-2-oxa-1,3-diazole (NBD-Cl) toward the morpholine group by an SNAr reaction in acetonitrile or water (thereafter referred to as NBD-Morph). The electron-donating ability of the morpholine causes intra-molecular charge transfer (ICT). In this report, we present a comprehensive study on the optical characteristics using UV-Vis, photoluminescence (cw-PL) and its time-resolved (TR-PL) to determine the properties of the emissive intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) in the NBD-Morph donor-acceptor system. An exhaustive theoretical investigation utilizing the density functional theory (DFT) and its extension TD-DFT methods is an essential complement of experiments to rationalize and understand the molecular structure and related properties. The findings from QTAIM, ELF, and RDG analyses establish that the bonding between morpholine and NBD moieties is of the electrostatic or hydrogen bond type. In addition, the Hirshfeld surfaces have been established to explore the types of interactions. Further, the non-linear optical (NLO) responses of the compound have been examined. The structure-property relationships obtained through the combined experimental and theoretical offer valuable insights for designing efficient NLO material.

Abstract
Two salt cocrystals, C31H34N4O8 (DDD) and C17H20N2O8 (MDD), were synthesized and their structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. DDD is made up of one (C13H13O8)- anion, one (C9H11N2)+ cation, and one 5,6-dimethyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazole molecule. MDD consists of one (C4H7N2)+ cation and one (C13H13O8)- anion. DDD and MDD belong to the monoclinic, P21/c space group and triclinic, P-1 space group, respectively. A 1D-chained structure of DDD was constituted by N-H···N and N-H···O hydrogen bonds. However, a 1D-chained structure of MDD was bridged by N-H···O hydrogen bonds. Their density functional theory-optimized geometric structures with a B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) basis set fit well with those of crystallographic studies. By calculating their thermodynamic properties, the correlation equations of C 0 p,m , S 0 m , H 0 m , and temperature T were obtained. By comparing the experimental electronic spectra with the calculated electronic spectra, it is found that the PBEPBE/6-311G(d,p) method can simulate the UV-Vis spectra of DDD and MDD. In addition, the fluorescence spectra in the EtOH solution analysis show that the yellowish-green emission occurs at 570 nm (λex = 310 nm) for DDD and the purplish-blue emission occurs at 454 nm (λex = 316 nm) for MDD.

Abstract
A new 1,5-dioxaspiro[5.5] derivative coupled with a benzimidazole moiety: 5,6-dimethyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-3-ium 3-((2,4-dioxo-1,5-dioxaspiro[5.5]undecan-3-ylidene) methyl) -2,4-dioxo-1,5-dioxaspiro[5.5]undecane hydrate (DBH) was prepared. The crystal structure confirmed that it belongs to triclinic, P-1 space group. The title compound includes one (C19H21O8)− anion, one (C9H11N2)+ cation and one water molecule, which assembled into a 2D-net framework by O–H···O and N–H···O hydrogen bonds. The quantum chemical computations using the B3LYP/6-311G (d, p) basis level of theory reveal that the optimized geometric structure is suitable to study the molecule. The theoretically simulated FT-IR spectra and electronic spectra of DBH are compared with experimental data. The results show that the B3LYP/6-311g (d, p) method fits well with the molecular structure. In addition, the thermodynamic properties have also been studied to determine the nature of the DBH.

Abstract
In the present study, 1-(3-methoxy-phenyl)-3-naphthalen-1-yl-propenone (MPNP) is synthesized and characterized by several experimental techniques such as Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), FT-Raman, NMR and UV-vis spectral methods. The similar techniques are also investigated by the computational method using Gaussian software. The density functional theory (DFT) method is used to obtain the optimized structure using the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) basis set. This optimization procedure of the molecule gives the minimum energy confirmation of the structure. The computed geometrical parameters are compared with experimental data. The experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of MPNP are obtained in the regions 4000-400 and 4000-50 cm-1 respectively. The detailed vibrational assignments of the molecule are obtained with the support of potential energy distribution. The theoretical NMR (1H and 13C) analysis is conducted by the GIAO method for its structural characterization and compared with experimental chemical shifts. The experimental UV-vis spectrum is obtained in the dimethyl sulfoxide solvent and compared with the theoretically computed spectrum by the time-dependent DFT method. In addition to these studies, other analyses such as nonlinear optical, natural bonds orbital, frontier molecular orbital, molecular electrostatic potential, and NCI have been conducted to understand the nature of the molecule. The title molecule is docked and also the drug-likeness, ADMET studies were carried out. The RBD domain bound to the ACE2 receptor during the fusion makes spike glycoprotein an elusive therapeutic target in SARS-CoV-2 infection.
