Abstract
Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) is an established treatment for medication-resistant depression. Several targeting methods for the left DLPFC have been proposed including identification with resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) neuronavigation, stimulus coordinates based on structural MRI, or electroencephalography (EEG) F3 site by Beam F3 method. To date, neuroanatomical and neurofunctional differences among those approaches have not been investigated on healthy subjects, which are structurally and functionally unaffected by psychiatric disorders. This study aimed to compare the mean location, its dispersion, and its functional connectivity with the subgenual cingulate cortex (SGC), which is known to be associated with the therapeutic outcome in depression, of various approaches to target the DLPFC in healthy subjects. Fifty-seven healthy subjects underwent MRI scans to identify the stimulation site based on their resting-state functional connectivity and were measured their head size for targeting with Beam F3 method. In addition, we included two fixed stimulus coordinates over the DLPFC in the analysis, as recommended in previous studies. From the results, the rs-fMRI method had, as expected, more dispersed target sites across subjects and the greatest anticorrelation with the SGC, reflecting the known fact that personalized neuronavigation yields the greatest antidepressant effect. In contrast, the targets located by the other methods were relatively close together with less dispersion, and did not differ in anticorrelation with the SGC, implying their limitation of the therapeutic efficacy and possible interchangeability of them.

Abstract
The persistence of posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS) can be debilitating. However, many people experiencing such symptoms may not qualify for or may not seek treatment. Potentially contributing to ongoing residual symptoms of PTSS is emotion dysregulation. Meanwhile, the research area of mindfulness and compassion has grown to imply emotion regulation as one of its underlying mechanisms; yet, its influence on emotion regulation in PTSS cohort is unknown. Here, we explored the potential effectiveness of an 8-week Compassion-oriented and Mindfulness-based Exposure Therapy (CoMET) for individuals with PTSS using a waitlist control design. A total of 28 individuals (27 females, age range = 18-39 years) participated in the study (17 CoMET; 11 waitlist control). Following CoMET, participants reported significant decreases in PTSS severity (from clinical to non-clinical levels), emotion dysregulation and experiential avoidance, as well as significant increases in mindfulness, self-compassion and quality of life. Electroencephalogram-based brain network connectivity analysis revealed an increase in alpha-band connectivity following CoMET in a network that includes the amygdala, suggesting that CoMET successfully induced changes in functional connectivity between brain regions that play a crucial role in emotion regulation. In sum, the current study demonstrated promising intervention outcomes of CoMET in effectively alleviating the symptoms of PTSS via enhanced emotion regulation.

Abstract
First-episode psychosis (FEP) is defined as the first occurrence of delusions, hallucinations, or psychic disorganization of significant magnitude, lasting more than 7 days. Evolution is difficult to predict since the first episode remains isolated in one third of cases, while recurrence occurs in another third, and the last third progresses to a schizo-affective disorder. It has been suggested that the longer psychosis goes unnoticed and untreated, the more severe the probability of relapse and recovery. MRI has become the gold standard for imaging psychiatric disorders, especially first episode psychosis. Besides ruling out some neurological conditions that may have psychiatric manifestations, advanced imaging techniques allow for identifying imaging biomarkers of psychiatric disorders. We performed a systematic review of the literature to determine how advanced imaging in FEP may have high diagnostic specificity and predictive value regarding the evolution of disease.
