Abstract
This study aimed to synthesize molybdenum complexes coordinated with an aroyl hydrazone-type ligand (H2L), which was generated through the condensation of 2-hydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde with benzhydrazide. The synthesis yielded two types of mononuclear complexes, specifically [MoO2(L)(MeOH)] and [MoO2(L)(H2O)], as well as a bipyridine-bridged dinuclear complex, [(MoO2(L))2(4,4'-bpy)]. Those entities were thoroughly characterized using a suite of analytical techniques, including attenuated total reflectance infrared spectroscopy (IR-ATR), elemental analysis (EA), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD). Additionally, solid-state impedance spectroscopy (SS-IS) was employed to investigate the electrical properties of these complexes. The mononuclear complexes were tested as catalysts in the epoxidation of cyclooctene and the oxidation of linalool. Among these, the water-coordinated mononuclear complex, [MoO2(L)(H2O)], demonstrated superior electrical and catalytic properties. A novel contribution of this research lies in establishing a correlation between the electrical properties, structural features, and the catalytic efficiency of the complexes, marking this work as one of the pioneering studies in this area for molybdenum coordination complexes, to the best of our knowledge.

Abstract
The new diprotic ligand 3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylaldehyde 4-ethyl-3-thiosemicarbazone, abbreviated H2(3,5-t-Bu2)-sal4eT, exists as the thio-keto tautomer and adopts the E-configuration with respect to the imine double bond, as evidenced by single-crystal X-ray analysis and corroborated by spectroscopic characterisation. Upon treatment with Cu(OAc)2·H2O in the presence of either 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (2,9-Me2-phen) or 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) as a co-ligand in MeOH, this thiosemicarbazone undergoes conformational transformation (relative donor-atom orientations: syn, anti → syn, syn) concomitantly with tautomerisation and double deprotonation to afford the ternary copper(II) complexes [Cu{(3,5-t-Bu2)-sal4eT}(2,9-Me2-phen)] (1) and [Cu2{3,5-t-Bu2)-sal4eT}2(phen)] (2). Crystallographic elucidation has revealed that complex 1 is a centrosymmetric dimer of mononuclear copper(II) complex molecules brought about by intermolecular H-bonding. The coordination geometry at the copper(II) centre is best described as distorted square pyramidal in accordance with the trigonality index (τ = 0.14). The co-ligand adopts an axial-equatorial coordination mode; hence, there is a disparity between its two Cu-N coordinate bonds arising from weakening of the apical one as a consequence of the tetragonal distortion. The axial X-band ESR spectrum of complex 1 is consistent with retention of this structure in solution. Complex 2 is a centrosymmetric dimer of dinuclear copper(II) complex molecules exhibiting intermolecular H-bonding and π-π-stacking interactions. The two copper(II) centres, which are 4.8067(18) Å apart and bridged by the thio-enolate nitrogen of the quadridentate thiosemicarbazonate ligand, display two different coordination geometries, one distorted square planar (τ4 = 0.082) and the other distorted square pyramidal (τ5 = 0.33). Such dinuclear copper(II) thiosemicarbazone complexes, which are crystallographically characterised, are extremely rare. In vitro, complexes 1 and 2 outperform cisplatin as antiproliferative agents in terms of potency and selectivity towards HeLa and MCF-7 cancer cell lines.

Abstract
This paper deals with the synthesis, characterization, and studies of biological properties of a series of 5 coordination compounds based on binuclear core [Mo(V)2O2S2]2+ with thiosemicarbazones ligands bearing different substituents on the R1 position of the ligand. The complexes are first studied using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy to determine their structures in solution in relation to single-crystal X-Ray diffraction data. In a second part, the antifungal and antioxidative activities are explored and the high potential of these coordination compounds compared to the uncoordinated ligands is demonstrated for these properties. Finally, DFT calculation provides important support to the solution studies by identifying the most stable isomers in each [Mo2O2S2]2+/Ligand system, while the determination of HUMO and LUMO levels is performed to explain the antioxidative properties of these systems.

Abstract
Molybdenum coordination complexes are widely applied due to their biological and pharmacological potential, as well as their performance in different catalytic processes. Parent dioxidomolybdenum Schiff base complexes were prepared via the reaction of [MoO2(acac)2] with a hydrazone Schiff-base tetradentate ligand. A new hydrazone-Schiff base (H2L1 and 2) and its corresponding mononuclear and polynuclear dioxidomolybdenum(VI) complex were synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods and elemental analyses, and their thermal behavior was investigated by thermogravimetry. The crystal and molecular structures of H2L2 ligands and the complexes [MoO2(L1)(H2O)], [MoO2(L2)(H2O)], [MoO2(L1)(MeOH)]∙MeOH, [MoO2(L1)(EtOH)]∙EtOH, [MoO2(L1)(2-PrOH)]∙2-PrOH, and [MoO2(L1)]n were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Using the in situ impedance spectroscopy method (IS), the structural transformations of chosen complexes were followed, and their electrical properties were examined in a wide range of temperatures and frequencies.

Abstract
Molybdenum compounds containing benzaldehyde-based hydrazones were obtained. The reaction in MeOH resulted with monomeric Mo complexes, [MoO2(L)(MeOH)], while the reaction in dichloromethane (DCM) provided oligomeric complexes, [MoO2(L)]n. The solid-state structures of the obtained compounds were investigated through Infrared Spectroscopy - Attenuated Total Reflection (IR-ATR), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and via X-ray diffraction. The prepared molybdenum species were employed as cyclooctene epoxidation catalysts. TBHP (tert-butylhydroperoxide) in water and TBHP in decane were employed and compared as oxidants, with 0.25 mol% [Mo]. The catalyst activity and selectivity towards epoxide is >90% for all the reactions. The results have been linked to theoretical calculations, showing the importance of the first step, i.e., the transformation of [MoO2(L)(MeOH)] into the pentacoordinate [MoO2(L)].

Abstract
1-Acyl thioureas [R1C(O)NHC(S)NR2R3] are shown to display conformational flexibility depending on the degree of substitution at the nitrogen atom. The conformational landscape and structural features for two closely related thioureas having R1=2-furoyl have been studied. The un-substituted 2-furoyl thiourea (I) and its dimethyl analogue, i.e. 1-(2-furoyl)-3,3-dimethyl thiourea (II), have been synthesized and fully characterized by spectroscopic (FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR) and elemental analysis. According to single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, compounds I and II crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/c. In the compound I, the trans-cis geometry of the almost planar thiourea unit is stabilized by intramolecular NH⋯OC hydrogen bond between the H atom of the cis thioamide and the carbonyl O atom. In compound II, however, the acyl thiourea group is non-planar, in good agreement with the potential energy curve computed at the B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) level of approximation. Centrosymmetric dimers generated by intermolecular NH⋯SC hydrogen bond forming R22(8) motif are present in the crystals. Intermolecular interactions have been rationalized in terms of topological partitions of the electron distributions and Hirshfeld surface analysis, which showed the occurrence of S⋯H, O⋯H and H⋯H contacts that display an important role to crystal packing stabilization of both thiourea derivatives.

Abstract
5-Chloro-4-methyl-2-hydroxybenzophenone S-propyl-4-phenyl-thiosemicarbazone (H2L) and its cis-dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes, in the general formula [MoO2(L)R-OH)] (R: methyl, 1; ethyl, 2; n-propyl, 3; n-butyl, 4; n-pentyl, 5), were synthesized and characterized by micro analysis, electronic, infrared and (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra. The crystal structures of complexes, 1 and 3, have been solved by direct methods (SIR92) and refined to the residual indexes R1=0.098 and R1=0.052 respectively. Complexes 1 and 3 are crystallized in the triclinic space group P-1 with Z=2. The crystal study of complex 1 showed the first example of intermolecular hydrogen bond for this type of molybdenum-thiosemicarbazone complexes. The hydrogen bond is between the hydroxyl proton of attached alcohol and an oxo oxygen (in MoO2(2+) unit) of another complex molecule, and its bond distance (1.767(1)Å) is shorter than from the σ-coordination bonds in complex 1. Antioxidant activities of the compounds were determined by using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. Ligand showed 23.61% DPPH radical scavenging activity at 250 mg/L concentration. Cupric Reducing Antioxidant Capacity (CUPRAC) was also evaluated and trolox-equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC) values were found for ligand, 1 and 3 as 0.51, 0.33 and 0.30 respectively.

Abstract
Four dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes were synthesized by reacting [MoO2(acac)2] with N-ethyl-2-(5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzylidene) hydrazinecarbothioamide (1), N-ethyl-2-(5-allyl-3-methoxy-2-hydroxybenzylidene) hydrazinecarbothioamide (2), N-methyl-2-(3-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzylidene) hydrazinecarbothioamide (3), and N-ethyl-2-(3-methyl-2-hydroxybenzylidene) hydrazinecarbothioamide (4). The molecular structures of 1, 2, and all the synthesized complexes were determined using single crystal X-ray crystallography. The binding properties of the ligand and complexes with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) were investigated via UV, fluorescence titrations, and viscosity measurement. Gel electrophoresis revealed that all the complexes cleave pBR 322 plasmid DNA. The cytotoxicity of the complexes were studied against the HCT 116 human colorectal cell line. All the complexes exhibited more pronounced activity than the standard reference drug 5-fluorouracil (IC50 7.3μM). These studies show that dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes could be potentially useful in chemotherapy.
