Abstract
In this study chitin derived from shrimp shells was used in the design of heterogeneous Pd-based catalysts for Heck and Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions. The synthesis of Pd nanoparticles supported on N-doped carbons was performed through different approaches, including a sustainable mechanochemical approach, by using a twin-screw extruder. All catalytic systems were characterized by a multitechnique approach and the effect of nanoparticles size, N-doping on the support, and their synergistic interactions were elucidated. Specifically, Kelvin Probe Atomic Force Microscopy provided valuable insights on charge transfer and metal-support interactions. The catalytic behaviour of the samples was investigated in cross-coupling reactions under batch conditions and under semi-continuous flow solvent-free conditions, respectively obtaining a quantitative yield and a noteworthy productivity of 8.7 mol/(gPdh).

Abstract
In this project, the aim was to carry out the Suzuki reaction using a new and unique catalyst with a base of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles coated using a new ligand. In fact, this magnetic catalyst has an inhomogeneous surface to create a connection between the organic and aqueous phases so that the carbon–carbon coupling reaction is completely performed on its large surface. The structure of this catalyst uses two metals, nickel and cobalt, which are coated on a bed of amino linkers and propel the Suzuki coupling reaction at high speed on the catalyst surface. The products obtained are from ideal and optimal conditions with an efficiency of over 98%. The catalyst has a recovery power of over 96% and has enough power to perform several coupling reactions several times. Lastly, the magnetic nanocatalyst is easily separated from the reaction medium by an external field and has 100% power when performing other reactions.

Abstract
This study presents a novel, economical, and environmentally technique for synthesizing magnetic palladium complex conjugated to activated calcium lignosulfonate with triethylenetetramine (Fe3O4@lignosulfonate@triethylenetetramine@Pd complex (FLT-Pd complex)) as a practical and air-stable catalyst. FLT-Pd complex is used as a catalyst for the fabrication of 4-methyl-N-phenyl-benzenesulfonamide derivatives via N-arylation of 4-methylbenzenesulfonamide in good yields. Furthermore, because of the complex magnetic reparability and high stability, it could be removed easily from the reaction media using a magnet and reused 5 cycles without a remarkable loss of catalytic prowess.
