Abstract
In this study, three types of Polypropylene-based (PP) films (two active nanocomposites and one control film) containing zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs), 4A zeolite (4A Z), and green tea extract (GTE) were studied as modern active packaging's that can adjust the release of antimicrobial agents. The influence of PP nanocomposite with 3% (w/w) ZnO NPs/4A Z/GTE (treatment 1) and 6% (w/w) ZnO NPs/4A Z/GTE (treatment 2) on controlling microbial growth and preserving the sensory and chemical qualities of Salmon over nine days of storage at 4 ± 1°C was evaluated. The disk diffusion test revealed inhibition zones in the range of 10.98 ± 0.03 to 13.42 ± 0.01 m for treatments 1 and 2, respectively; the nanocomposite film with 6% ZnO NPs/4A Z/GTE had the highest antimicrobial effect against Gram-negative bacteria (p < .05). Chemical analysis revealed that the initial peroxide value of Salmon was 0.68 ± 0.0 mEq/kg, which increased by day 9 to 12.3 ± 0.03 mEq/kg in the control sample, but rising only to 9.9 ± 0.01 and 7.3 ± 0.02 mEq/kg in treatments 1 and 2, respectively (p < .05). The shelf life of Salmon given treatment 2 increased significantly to nine days relative to the control. Accordingly, these nanocomposite films are promising as new active packaging for preventing microbial growth and preserving the quality of salmon.

Abstract
Nanocomposite materials were prepared by compounding polypropylene (PP) with zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles, using a twin-screw extruder. The compound was molded by injection molding to form dumbbell-shaped specimens. The influence of ZnO nanoparticle content on the morphology, mechanical properties, chemical structure, photocatalytic activity, and antibacterial properties of the obtained nanocomposites was investigated. The morphological images showed that the ZnO nanoparticles were well distributed in the PP matrix. Characterizations of the mechanical properties and chemical structures before and after sunlight exposure found that at the shortest exposure time, crosslinks could occur in the nanocomposites, which resulted in improved mechanical properties. However, sunlight exposure with the time period longer than 18 weeks caused the reduction of the mechanical properties, due to degradation of the PP matrix. It was found that PP with 2% ZnO could achieve the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue up to 59%. Moreover, the result of antibacterial tests indicated that the nanocomposites had better antibacterial properties than neat PP.

Abstract
As a green and eco-friendly technology, triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) can harvest energy from human motion to generate electricity, so TENGs have been widely applied in wearable electronic devices to replace traditional batteries. However, the surface of these TENGs is easily contaminated and breeds bacteria, which is a threat to human health. Here, we report an antibacterial composite film-based triboelectric nanogenerator (ACF-TENG) that uses Ag-exchanged zeolite (Ag-zeolite) and polypropylene (PP) composite film as the triboelectric layer. Adding a small amount of Ag-zeolite with excellent antibacterial properties can increase the dielectric permittivity and improve the surface charge density of composite films, which enhances the output performance of the ACF-TENG. The open-circuit voltage (VOC), short-circuit current (ISC), and transferred charge (QTr) of the ACF-TENG are about 193.3, 225.4, and 233.3% of those of a pure PP film-based TENG, respectively. Because of the silver in the Ag-zeolite, the ACF-TENG can effectively kill Escherichia coli and fungi. When used in insoles, the ACF-TENG can resist the athlete's foot fungus effectively and work as a power source to light up light-emitting diodes and charge capacitors. The ACF-TENG has wide application prospects in self-powered medical and healthcare electronics.

Abstract
Nanocomposites of zinc oxide loaded on a zeolite (Zeolite/ZnO NCs) were prepared using co-precipitation method. The ratio effect of ZnO wt.% to the Zeolite on the antibacterial activities was investigated. Various techniques were used for the nanocomposite characterization, including UV-vis, FTIR, XRD, EDX, FESEM and TEM. XRD patterns showed that ZnO peak intensity increased while the intensities of Zeolite peaks decreased. TEM images indicated a good distribution of ZnO-NPs onto the Zeolite framework and the cubic structure of the zeolite was maintained. The average particle size of ZnO-nanoparticles loaded on the surface of the Zeolite was in the range of 1-10nm. Moreover, Zeolite/ZnO NCs showed noticeable antibacterial activities against the tested bacteria; Gram- positive and Gram- negative bacteria, under normal light. The efficiency of the antibacterial increased with increasing the wt.% from 3 to 8 of ZnO NPs, and it reached 87% against Escherichia coli E266.
