Abstract
A nano-structured conjugated polymer with multiple micro-/meso-pores was synthesized by post-crosslinking of an end-functionalized hyperbranched conjugated prepolymer. Firstly, an AB2 monomer 3-((3,5-dibromo-4-(octyloxy)phenyl)ethynyl)-6-ethynyl-9-octyl-9H-carbazole (PECz) was synthesized and polymerized by Sonogashira reaction to give the -Br end-functionalized hyperbranched conjugated prepolymer hb-PPECz. The photophysical and electrochemical properties of hb-PPECz were investigated. The λmax of absorption and emission of hb-PPECz in tetrahydrofuran (THF) solution was 313 and 483 nm, respectively. The optical energy bandgap, highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO), and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy levels of hb-PPECz were 2.98, -5.81, and -2.83 eV, respectively. Then, the prepolymer hb-PPECz was post-crosslinked by Heck reaction with divinylbenzene to give the porous conjugated polymer c-PPECz. The effects of hb-PPECz concentration and added dispersant polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP K-30) on the morphology and porosity of c-PPECz were investigated. The resulting c-PPECzs showed multiple porous structures mainly constructed by micropores and mesopores. Under a higher hb-PPECz concentration (4 wt/v%), a bulky gel product was obtained. Under lower hb-PPECz concentrations (0.6 wt/v%~2 wt/v%), the resulting c-PPECzs were mainly composed of nano-sized particles. Nearly spheric nanoparticles (200~300 nm) (c-PPECz-5) were obtained under the concentration of 1 wt/v% in the presence of PVP (10 wt% of hb-PPECz). The Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area, pore volume, average pore size, and percentage of pore size below 10 nm of c-PPECz-5 were 10.7781 m2·g-1, 0.0108 cm3·g-1, 4.0081 nm, and 94.47%, respectively.

Abstract
Porous organic polymers (POPs) have plenteous exciting features due to their attractive combination of microporosity with π-conjugation. Nevertheless, electrodes based on their pristine forms suffer from severe poverty of electrical conductivity, precluding their employment within electrochemical appliances. The electrical conductivity of POPs may be significantly improved and their porosity properties could be further customized by direct carbonization. In this study, we successfully prepared a microporous carbon material (Py-PDT POP-600) by the carbonization of Py-PDT POP, which was designed using a condensation reaction between 6,6'-(1,4-phenylene)bis(1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine) (PDA-4NH2) and 4,4',4'',4'''-(pyrene-1,3,6,8-tetrayl)tetrabenzaldehyde (Py-Ph-4CHO) in the presence of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as a solvent. The obtained Py-PDT POP-600 with a high nitrogen content had a high surface area (up to 314 m2 g-1), high pore volume, and good thermal stability based on N2 adsorption/desorption data and a thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Owing to the good surface area, the as-prepared Py-PDT POP-600 showed excellent performance in CO2 uptake (2.7 mmol g-1 at 298 K) and a high specific capacitance of 550 F g-1 at 0.5 A g-1 compared with the pristine Py-PDT POP (0.24 mmol g-1 and 28 F g-1).

Conjugated Microporous Polymers Based on Ferrocene Units as Highly Efficient Electrodes for Energy Storage. Polymers (Basel) 2023; 15:polym15051095. Abstract
This work describes the facile designing of three conjugated microporous polymers incorporated based on the ferrocene (FC) unit with 1,4-bis(4,6-diamino-s-triazin-2-yl)benzene (PDAT), tris(4-aminophenyl)amine (TPA-NH2), and tetrakis(4-aminophenyl)ethane (TPE-NH2) to form PDAT-FC, TPA-FC, and TPE-FC CMPs from Schiff base reaction of 1,1'-diacetylferrocene monomer with these three aryl amines, respectively, for efficient supercapacitor electrodes. PDAT-FC and TPA-FC CMPs samples featured higher surface area values of approximately 502 and 701 m2 g-1, in addition to their possession of both micropores and mesopores. In particular, the TPA-FC CMP electrode achieved more extended discharge time compared with the other two FC CMPs, demonstrating good capacitive performance with a specific capacitance of 129 F g-1 and capacitance retention value of 96% next 5000 cycles. This feature of TPA-FC CMP is attributed to the presence of redox-active triphenylamine and ferrocene units in its backbone, in addition to a high surface area and good porosity that facilitates the redox process and provides rapid kinetics.

Abstract
A new triazaisotruxene-based porous organic polymer (POP) was designed and successfully synthesized by a FeCl3-promoted crosslinking reaction. As a result of its porosity and good thermal stability, the designed POP can be utilized as a promising adsorbent for iodine, not only in the gaseous phase, but also in organic and aqueous solutions. Compared to its triazatruxene (TN) analogue, the ITN-based POP shows equal iodine uptake in the gaseous phase and in hexane solution, and better uptake in aqueous solution.

Abstract
In recent years, conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs) have become important precursors for environmental and energy applications, compared with inorganic electrode materials, due to their ease of preparation, facile charge storage process, π-conjugated structures, relatively high thermal and chemical stability, abundance in nature, and high surface areas. Therefore, in this study, we designed and prepared new benzobisthiadiazole (BBT)-linked CMPs (BBT-CMPs) using a simple Sonogashira couplings reaction by reaction of 4,8-dibromobenzo(1,2-c;4,5-c')bis(1,2,5)thiadiazole (BBT-Br2) with ethynyl derivatives of triphenylamine (TPA-T), pyrene (Py-T), and tetraphenylethene (TPE-T), respectively, to afford TPA-BBT-CMP, Py-BBT-CMP, and TPE-BBT-CMP. The chemical structure and properties of BBT-CMPs such as surface areas, pore size, surface morphologies, and thermal stability using different measurements were discussed in detail. Among the studied BBT-CMPs, we revealed that TPE-BBT-CMP displayed high degradation temperature, up to 340 °C, with high char yield and regular, aggregated sphere based on thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. Furthermore, the Py-BBT-CMP as organic electrode showed an outstanding specific capacitance of 228 F g-1 and superior capacitance stability of 93.2% (over 2000 cycles). Based on theoretical results, an important role of BBT-CMPs, due to their electronic structure, was revealed to be enhancing the charge storage. Furthermore, all three CMP polymers featured a high conjugation system, leading to improved electron conduction and small bandgaps.

Abstract
Recently, conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs) comprised of thiazolo[5,4-d]thiazole (TzTz) linkages have received much attention due to their excellent photoelectric properties. Herein, the polycondensation of dithiooxamide and benzyl aldehydes of C2, C3, and D2h symmetry afforded three TzTz-linked CMPs, namely TzTz-CMP-1, TzTz-CMP-2, and TzTz-CMP-3. Importantly, the porous and flexible characteristics of TzTz-linked CMPs enable the smooth selective aerobic oxidation of amines in ethanol (C2H5OH), a clean but redox-active solvent. All three TzTz-linked CMPs significantly surpass the benchmark mesoporous graphite carbonnitride (mpg-C3N4) photocatalyst. Intriguingly, TzTz-CMP-2 displays the best photocatalytic activity for the blue-light-mediated selective transformation of primary and secondary amines into imines. The conversions of amines were up to 90% with excellent selectivities for imines. This work highlights that CMPs with TzTz linkages may offer efficient photocatalytic selective transformations under genuinely ambient conditions.

Abstract
We have designed and synthesized two new achiral hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronene (HBC) derivatives, HBCCE and HBCTEG-CE , which bear the crown ether as the pendant for the amino acid binding site. The HBCCE self-assembled into a racemic mixture of P- and M-handed helical nanocoils, however, in the presence of chiral amino acid guests, it formed helical nanocoils with one-handed screw sense. The effects of the concentration, type and configuration of the guests on the induced circular dichroism (ICD) during the co-assembly of HBCCE with chiral amino acids were also investigated. Additionally, after complete removal of the chiral guests, the optically active nanocoils did not racemize, even in the presence of excess amino acids with the opposite configuration. In contrast, HBCTEG-CE with a long triethylene glycol (TEG) chain between the crown ether group and the HBC unit did not exhibit ICD during the co-assembly with chiral amino acids.
