Abstract
This comprehensive review delves into the current landscape and future outlook of chemosensors constructed from polycyclic aromatic compounds (PACs) for the detection of toxic ions. PACs, known for their unique molecular properties, have emerged as key building blocks for the development of chemosensors due to their sensitivity, selectivity, and versatility.
