Abstract
CONTEXT Various concentrations of (E)-4-methoxy-N'-(2-(trifluoromethyl)benzylidene) benzohydrazide (EMT) adsorbed on colloidal silver nanoparticles were studied using SERS and results were compared to the normal Raman spectrum. DFT calculations were used to validate experimental findings. Theoretically, the structures of the EMT and EMT-Ag6 systems were optimized. The UV-Vis spectral analysis's red shift and lower intensity behavior show that EMT has chemisorbed onto Ag nanoparticles. Charge transfer (CT) from Ag to EMT is highlighted by FMO analysis. The CT interaction in EMT and EMT-Ag6 was further verified by MEP and Mulliken charge analyses. The EMT was adsorbed on Ag nanoparticles with tilted orientation and orientation changes with colloidal concentration, according to SERS spectrum analysis. Docking EMT with 4PQE and 5DYW binding affinities are found to be -9.7 and -8.1 kcal/mol. MD simulations give the competence of 5DYW-EMT and 4PQE-EMT in their intended binding interactions and their ability to establish enduring associations with the protein of interest. METHODS DFT was used to optimize the molecular structures of EMT and EMT-Ag6 using B3LYP/6-311++G* (LANL2DZ basis set for Ag). A molecular dynamics simulation study was conducted on the 4PQE-EMT and 5DYW-EMT systems using the Desmond software for 100 ns.

Abstract
The equilibrium geometry, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and UV-Vis analysis, and vibrational frequencies for the azo and hydrazone isomers of 1,3-dimethyl-5-(phenylazo)-6-aminouracil have been performed using density functional theory (DFT/B3LYP) method with 6-311G(d,p) basis set. A detailed interpretation of the vibrational spectra has been made on the basis of the calculated potential energy distribution (PED) obtained from the Vibrational Energy Distribution Analysis (VEDA4) program. The 1H NMR chemical shifts with respect to TMS were calculated by the gauge independent atomic orbital (GIAO) method and compared with the experimental data. Stability of the molecule arising from hyper conjugative interactions, charge delocalization has been analyzed using natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis. Using the TD-DFT method, electronic absorption spectra in CHCl3 solvent of the title compound have been predicted, and good agreement is determined with the experimental one. The NLO properties such as mean polarizability (⟨α⟩), the anisotropy of the polarizability (⟨Δα⟩) and the mean first-order hyperpolarizability (⟨β⟩) were computed by using finite field method. The computed values of μ, α and β for the azo and hydrazone forms of the title molecule are 5.4717 and 3.8905 D, 2.7773×10-23 and 2.7598×10-23esu, and 3.4499×10-30 and 6.8504×10-30esu, respectively. The high β values and non-zero values of μ indicate that the title compound might be a good candidate for NLO material.

Abstract
The infrared and Raman spectra of trans-3-phenylacryloyl chloride (TPC) were reported and compared with the theoretical results calculating at B3LYP/6-311++G (d, p) level. Both wavenumbers and intensities obtained from the experimental and theoretical spectra were in good agreement. A complete spectral assignment was made with the aid of potential energy distribution (PED) based on the scaled quantum mechanical (SQM) force field method. This study provided valuable insight for understanding the observed spectral features of TPC. Additionally, the HOMO-LUMO gap, molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) atomic charge distribution, and natural bond orbitals (NBO) were studied theoretically on the same basis set.

Abstract
In this study, we report a combined experimental and theoretical study on 3,5-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole-1-carbothioic O-acid (C18H18N2O3S) molecule. The compound crystallizes in the trigonal space group R-3 with a=b=27.7151(12) Å, c=12.4866(6) Å, α=β=90.0°, γ=120.0° and Z=18. The crystal packing is stabilized by O-H⋯O and O-H⋯S intermolecular hydrogen bonds. These hydrogen bond interactions are also proved by NBO analysis. A detailed spectroscopic investigation is performed by the application of FT-IR and FT-NMR in addition to the theoretical approaches. Small energy gap between the frontier molecular orbitals is responsible for the nonlinear optical activity of the title molecule.

Abstract
Organic compounds which have one or more aromatic systems in conjugated positions show charge transfer interactions which are responsible for the non-linear properties of the compounds. A conjugated π electron system enables a pathway for the entire length of conjugation under the perturbation of an external electric field. When electron donating and withdrawing moieties are located at terminal position of conjugated backbone, nonlinear optical (NLO) properties have been increased significantly which involve the correlated and high delocalized π electron states. Recently synthesized organic complexes, 1-(4-fluorostyryl)-4-nitrostilbene (1), 4-Chloro 4-nitrostilbene (2), 4-Bromo 4-nitrostilbene (3) and 4-Iodo 4-nitrostilbene (4), were simulated using density functional theory (DFT). Based on the optimized geometries, spectroscopic and NLO properties of these complexes were discussed as compared with each other.

Abstract
The optimized geometry, (1)H and (13)C NMR chemical shifts, conformational and natural bond orbital (NBO) analyses, thermodynamic parameters, molecular surfaces, Mulliken, NBO and APT charges for 5-(2-Chloroethyl)-2,4-dichloro-6-methylpyrimidine [C7H7Cl3N2] were investigated by the ab initio HF and density functional theory (DFT/B3LYP) methods with 6-311++G(d,p) basis set. The calculated structural parameters (bond lengths, bond angles and dihedral angles) and (1)H and (13)C NMR chemical shifts values are compared with experimental values of the investigated compound. The observed and the calculated values are found to be in good agreement. The energies of the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) were calculated, and the obtained energies displayed that charge transfer occurs in 5-(2-Chloroethyl)-2,4-dichloro-6-methylpyrimidine compound. In addition, the linear polarizability (α) and the first order hyperpolarizability (β) values of the investigated compound have been computed by using HF and DFT methods.

Abstract
In this paper, computational studies were carried out on anastrozole and letrozole, chemotherapy drugs used against breast cancer. Optimization and frequency calculations were performed at B3LYP/6-31G (d) basis set and vibrational frequencies were assignment. Single point calculations were performed at DFT method with a hybrid functional B3LYP/6-311G (d, p) basis set. Theoretical NMR data were obtained at DFT method with a hybrid functional B3LYP/6-311G++ (2d, p) with GIAO (Gauge-Independent Atomic Orbital). IEF-PCM method was used as solvation model. NBO calculations were performed by the same basis set and calculation method with single point calculation. Global and localized reactivity parameters; fukui indices (f) chemical hardness (η), softness (S), chemical potential (μ), electronegativity (χ) and electrophilicity index (ω) were calculated. All computational parameters were compared with the experimental results obtained from the literature.
