Abstract
AIMS This review aimed to explore and map the literature on sleep quality assessments of adults in care settings using non-wearable sleep trackers. BACKGROUND Sleep-monitoring technology is advancing, and sleep quality assessments using non-wearable sleep trackers can provide objective evidence for quality care. DESIGN This was a scoping review. DATA SOURCES Four electronic databases (PubMed, CINAHL, PsycInfo and Embase) were searched on 23 September 2022. REVIEW METHODS This review followed the Joanna Briggs Institute's methodology and used the PRISMA-ScR checklist. RESULTS Thirty studies met our inclusion criteria. Sleep quality was assessed at home and in acute, non-acute and long-term care facilities. Physiological (heart rate and respiratory rate) and sleep parameters were assessed alone or in combination during patient care using non-wearable sleep trackers. Sleep parameters representing sleep quality varied across studies. Real-time monitoring with non-wearable sleep-tracking devices effectively shortened the length of hospital stay. However, studies investigating caregivers and nursing outcomes are lacking in the literature. CONCLUSION Sleep quality assessments using non-wearable sleep trackers may facilitate the provision of quality care in home-based and clinical care settings. Future studies should focus on caregivers and care outcomes that could contribute to evidence-based nursing practice for sleep care in adults.

Abstract
Exercise training can lead to changes in the metabolic composition of an athlete's blood, the magnitude of which depends largely on the intensity and duration of exercise. A variety of behavioral, biochemical, hormonal, and immunological biomarkers are commonly used to assess an athlete's physical condition during exercise training. However, traditional invasive muscle biopsy testing methods are unable to comprehensively detect physiological differences and metabolic changes in the body. Metabolomics technology is a high-throughput, highly sensitive technique that provides a comprehensive assessment of changes in small molecule metabolites (molecular weight <1,500 Da) in the body. By measuring the overall metabolic characteristics of biological samples, we can study the changes of endogenous metabolites in an organism or cell at a certain moment in time, and investigate the interconnection and dynamic patterns between metabolites and physiological changes, thus further understanding the interactions between genes and the environment, and providing possibilities for biomarker discovery, precise training and nutritional programming of athletes. This paper summaries the progress of research on the application of exercise metabolomics in sports science, and looks forward to the future development of exercise metabolomics, with a view to providing new approaches and perspectives for improving human performance, promoting exercise against chronic diseases, and advancing sports science research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Pathological myopia (PM) is closely associated with blinding ocular morbidities. Identifying biomarkers can provide clues on pathogeneses. This study aimed to identify metabolic biomarkers and underlying mechanisms in the vitreous humour (VH) of PM patients with complications. METHODS VH samples were collected from 39 PM patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) (n = 23) or macular hole (MH)/myopic retinoschisis (MRS) (n = 16) and 23 controls (MH with axial length < 26 mm) who underwent surgical treatment. VH metabolomic profiles were investigated using ultra-performance liquid chromatography‒mass spectrometry. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) was computed to identify potential biomarkers for PM diagnosis. RESULTS Bioinformatics analysis identified nineteen and four metabolites altered in positive and negative modes, respectively, and these metabolites were involved in tryptophan metabolism. Receiver operating characteristic analysis showed that seventeen metabolites (AUC > 0.6) in the positive mode and uric acid in the negative mode represent potential biomarkers for PM with complications (AUC = 0.894). Pairwise and pathway analyses among the RRD-PM, MH/MRS-PM and control groups showed that tryptophan metabolism and uric acid were closely correlated with PM. Altered metabolites and pathways in our study were characterized by increased oxidative stress and altered energy metabolism. These results contribute to a better understanding of myopia progression with or without related complications. CONCLUSIONS Our study provides metabolomic signatures and related immunopathological features in the VH of PM patients, revealing new insight into the prevention and treatment of PM and related complications.

Abstract
Chronic insomnia disorder (simplified in this document as insomnia) is an increasingly common clinical condition in society and a frequent complaint at the offices of different areas of health practice (particularly Medicine and Psychology). This scenario has been accompanied by a significant evolution in treatment, as well as challenges in approaching patients in an appropriately way. This clinical guideline, coordinated by the Brazilian Sleep Association and the Brazilian Association of Sleep Medicine and counting on the active participation of various specialists in the area, encompasses an update on the diagnosis and treatment of insomnia in adults. To this end, it followed a structured methodology. Topics of interest related to diagnosis were written based on theoretical framework, evidence in the literature, and professional experience. As for the topics related to the treatment of insomnia, a series of questions were developed based on the PICO acronym (P - Patient, problem, or population; I - Intervention; C - Comparison, control, or comparator; O - Outcome). The work groups defined the eligible options within each of these parameters. Regarding pharmacological interventions, only the ones currently available in Brazil or possibly becoming available in the upcoming years were considered eligible. Systematic reviews were conducted to help prepare the texts and define the level of evidence for each intervention. The final result is an objective and practical document providing recommendations with the best scientific support available to professionals involved in the management of insomnia.

Abstract
Throughout the course of life, there are age-related changes in sleep. Despite these normal changes, there is a high percentage of older adults that report sleep dissatisfaction with a high pervasiveness of chronic insomnia, the most common sleep disorder worldwide, with its prevalence being expected to continuously increase due to the growing rates of aging and obesity. This can have different adverse health outcomes, especially by promoting both physical and cognitive decline, which ultimately may aggravate frailty in older adults. Moreover, age-related frailty and sleep dysfunction may have a common mechanism related to the hallmarks of cellular aging. Cellular aging was categorized into nine hallmarks, such as DNA damage, telomere attrition and epigenetic changes. In the context of geriatric and chronic insomnia research, this review aims at discussing the current evidence from both animal models and human cohorts addressing the link between chronic insomnia, the hallmarks of aging and their impact on frailty. Moreover, the most recent research about the putative effect of insomnia therapeutic approaches on hallmarks of aging will be also highlighted.

Abstract
ABSTRACT Introduction The physique of college students is very important. The physique of college students is the prerequisite for the country’s revitalization, and health is the prerequisite for the transformation of intellectual capital. Object Aiming at the current college students’ physical education class arrangements and curriculum reform, the paper uses exercise prescriptions to make a brief plan for students’ physical exercise. Method The thesis uses the exercise prescription teaching method to carry out health intervention education for middle school students, which is used to analyze the physical requirements of students. Results After five months of fitness exercise prescription, the students’ physical fitness has increased significantly. We use fitness exercise prescriptions to make students feel good about exercise. Conclusion The application of physical and healthy exercise prescriptions can effectively improve the systematic and scientific nature of students’ participation in sports and help students learn and master healthy physical and mental self-exercise skills. Abstract
This study investigated the effects of Tai Chi exercise on the psychological health and sleep quality of older adult women after exercise cessation. Nineteen Tai Chi practitioners and 20 controls completed the final tests. All participants completed the Profile of Mood States (POMS) and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) at 0, 24 and 28 weeks (4 weeks after Tai Chi cessation). Compared with baseline, the fatigue, depression, total mood disturbance and PSQI scores in the Tai Chi group decreased at week 24 by 18.8%, 24.7%, 5.7% and 24.6%, and the vigour score increased by 18.3%. At week 28, depression and PSQI scores in the Tai Chi group decreased by 24.0% and 20.4%, respectively. Practicing Tai Chi for 24 weeks positively affected fatigue, depression, vigour and sleep quality among older adult women. The effect on reducing depression and improving sleep quality was sustained 4 weeks after Tai Chi was stopped.
