Abstract
Cis-2-iminothiazolidines and cis-thiazolidine-2-iminium tetrafluoroborates were successfully produced from trans-N-alkyl aziridine-2-carboxylates and phenyl/alkyl isothiocyanates mediated by zinc tetrafluoroborate in refluxing DCE. Reactions were performed via a complete regio- and stereoselective process to give the title iminothiazolidines and cis-thiazolidine-2-iminium salts in moderate to good yields (35 to 82%) with a wide substrate scope. In addition, the antibacterial activity evaluation of these compounds, as well as the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) determination, revealed that only four cis-thiazolidine-2-iminium salts showed growth inhibition against Bacillus cereus.

Abstract
An efficient and environmentally friendly synthetic approach to prepare thiazolidine-2-imine and oxazolidine-2-one derivatives has been developed. Thiazolidine-2-imines are synthesized in good to excellent yields by [3 + 2] annulation of p-quinamines with isothiocyanates under catalyst- and solvent-free conditions. Oxazolidine-2-ones are produced in good to excellent yields via [3 + 2] annulation of p-quinamines with CO2 using triethylenediamine (DABCO) as an organocatalyst. Furthermore, this strategy can be performed on a gram scale and tolerate a wide range of functional groups.

Abstract
Two-step, ring-opening 1,3-carbothiolation of donor-acceptor (D-A) cyclopropanes employing alkyl halides and in situ generated dithiocarbamates (from amines and CS2) has been demonstrated under mild conditions. The reaction is operationally simple and works with good functional group compatibility. Three new bonds including C-N, C-S, and C-C are formed in this 1,3-bifunctionalization strategy. Electron-poor olefins can also be used as electrophiles instead of alkyl halides. The use of enantiomerically pure D-A cyclopropane afforded enantiopure 1,3-carbothiolated product, thus demonstrating the stereospecificity of the reaction.

Abstract
A facile synthesis of biologically important S-aryl dithiocarbamates has been demonstrated by the aryne three-component coupling involving CS2 and aliphatic amines. This transition-metal-free and mild reaction is scalable and operates with good functional group compatibility. Preliminary mechanistic experiments, including density functional theory studies, are also provided. Moreover, with 3-triflyloxybenzynes, a unique four-component coupling incorporating tetrahydrofuran was observed.

Abstract
In the cation of the title salt, C17H18N3S+·Br-·C3H7NO, the central thia-zolidine ring adopts an envelope conformation with puckering parameters Q(2) = 0.310 (3) Å and φ(2) = 42.2 (6)°. In the crystal, each cation is connected to two anions by N-H⋯ Br hydrogen bonds, forming an R 4 2(8) motif parallel to the (10) plane. van der Waals inter-actions between the cations, anions and N,N-di-methyl-formamide mol-ecules further stabilize the crystal structure in three dimensions. The most important contributions to the surface contacts are from H⋯H (55.6%), C⋯H/H⋯C (17.9%) and Br⋯H/H⋯Br (7.0%) inter-actions, as concluded from a Hirshfeld analysis.

Abstract
Despite the versatility of amphoteric molecules, stable and easily accessible ones are still limitedly known. As a result, the discovery of new amphoteric reactivity remains highly desirable. Herein we introduce 3-aminooxetanes as a new family of stable and readily available 1,3-amphoteric molecules and systematically demonstrated their amphoteric reactivity toward polarized π-systems in a diverse range of intermolecular [3 + 2] annulations. These reactions not only enrich the reactivity of oxetanes, but also provide convergent access to valuable heterocycles.

Abstract
Consecutive substitution reactions of arsenic(III)chloride with sodium salts of various oximes and morpholinedithiocarbamate (morphdtc) were carried out in 1:2:1 stoichiometry to obtain six new arsenic(III) mixed derivatives of the type: [(R)(R1 )C = NO]2 Sb[S2 CN(CH2 CH2 )2 O] [where R is -C6 H5 , R1 = -CH3 (1); R = -C6 H4 CH3 , R1 = -CH3 (2); R = -C6 H4 Cl, R1 = -CH3 (3); R = -C6 H4 Br, R1 = -CH3 (4); R = -C6 H4 OH, R1 = -H (5); R(R1 )C = (6)]. These derivatives are characterized by elemental and physicochemical analyses and the tentative distorted trigonalbipyramidal geometry around arsenic assigned using spectral data of infrared (1 H, 13 C) nuclear magnetic resonance and liquid chromatography-mass. Powder X-ray diffraction study revealed their nanoranged particle size to be approximately 40 nm and crystalline nature. These derivatives examined against microbes and results revealed that these derivatives expressed more antifungal potential than antibacterial. The antioxidant activity was carried out by ferric reducing ability of plasma assay, and the cytotoxic study was performed in 3T3 fibroblast cell lines by tetrazolium-based colorimetric assay.

Abstract
A facile and efficient procedure for the synthesis of substituted thiazole-2(3H)-thiones and thiazolidine-2-thiones by the reaction of primary amines, carbon disulfide, and nitroepoxides is described. By using secondary amines in this protocol, the corresponding dithiocarbamate-substituted phenyl-2-propanones were prepared in excellent yields. In addition, substituted thiazoles and 1-(alkylthio)-1-phenylpropan-2-ones were prepared in reactions of S-alkyl dithiocarbamates and nitroepoxides.

Abstract
Trichomoniasis is the most prevalent, non-viral sexually transmitted diseases (STD) caused by amitochondriate protozoan Trichomonas vaginalis. Increased resistance of T. vaginalis to the marketed drug Metronidazole necessitates the development of newer chemical entities. A library of sixty 2-methyl-4/5-nitroimidazole derivatives was synthesized via nucleophilic ring opening reaction of epoxide and the efficacies against drug-susceptible and -resistant Trichomonas vaginalis were evaluated. All the molecules except two were found to be active against both susceptible and resistant strains with MICs ranging 8.55-336.70 μM and 28.80-1445.08 μM, respectively. Most of the compounds were remarkably more effective than the standard Metronidazole. This study analyzes the in vitro and in vivo activities of the new 5-nitroimidazoles, which were found to be safe against human cervical HeLa cells with good selectivity index. The exploration of SAR by the synthesis of four different prototypes and 3D-QSAR study has shown the importance of prototype 1 over other prototypes.

Abstract
Lewis acid catalyzed domino ring-opening cyclization of activated aziridines with aryl and alkyl isothiocyanates has been accomplished leading to the formation of a wide variety of highly substituted and functionalized 2-iminothiazolidines with excellent diastereo- and enantiospecificity (de, ee up to >99%). The reaction proceeds via a Lewis acid catalyzed SN2-type ring-opening of the activated aziridine followed by a concomitant 5-exo-dig cyclization in a domino fashion to furnish the 2-iminothiazolidine derivative in excellent yields (up to 99%).
