Abstract
Herein, we designed and synthesized an SBA-15 supported 1-methyl-2-azaadamanane N-oxyl (1-Me-AZADO) and investigated its catalytic performance for selective oxidation of alcohols under Anelli's conditions. The first example of immobilization of 1-Me-AZADO was very important to advance the oxgenation effectively because this supported N-oxyl has excellent catalytic activity for oxidation of alcohols to carbonyl compounds, and more importantly, it can be conveniently recovered and reused at least 6 times without significant effect on its catalytic efficiency.

Abstract
Rhodomyrtusials A-C, the first examples of triketone-sesquiterpene meroterpenoids featuring a unique 6/5/5/9/4 fused pentacyclic ring system were isolated from Rhodomyrtus tomentosa, along with several biogenetically-related dihydropyran isomers. Two bis-furans and one dihydropyran isomer showed acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitory activity. Structures of the isolates were unambiguously established by a combination of spectroscopic data, ECD analysis, and total synthesis. Bioinspired total syntheses of six isolates were achieved in six steps utilizing a reactive enetrione intermediate generated in situ from a readily available hydroxy-endoperoxide precursor.

Abstract
Mechanism of the addition of molecular oxygen on the dienolic form of the 2-alkylidene-1,3-cyclohexadione was investigated by quantum chemical calculations using the approximate projection method developed by Yamaguchi. The complete reaction pathway of the formation of the endoperoxide is described. The crossing between triplet and singlet potential energy surfaces has been located. A multireference complete active space self-consistent field calculation has been performed to strengthen the results.

Abstract
Herein, we report total syntheses of the tetramethyldihydroxanthene natural product rhodomyrtosone B and the related bis-furan β-triketone natural product rhodomyrtosone A. Nickel-(II)-catalyzed 1,4-conjugate addition of an α-alkylidene-β-dicarbonyl substrate was developed to access the congener rhodomyrtosone B, and oxygenation of the same monoalkylidene derivative followed by cyclization was employed to obtain the bis-furan natural product rhodomyrtosone A.

Abstract
A formal [2 + 2 + 2] cycloaddition reaction between a 1,3-dione, an olefin, and molecular oxygen mediated by light is reported, which delivers endoperoxides in good yield through the formation of two C-O and one C-C bond in one step. The resulting 1,2-dioxanes are stable compounds and can be further derivatized at the hemiacetal position via alkylation or acetylation. All compounds have been evaluated against Plasmodium falciparum, and the best compound displayed an IC50-value of 180 nM. A potential mechanistic rationale for the formation of these compounds is presented.

Abstract
Friedel-Craft acylation at 100 °C of 2,5,9,9-tetramethyl-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5H-benzocycloheptene [ar-himachalene (1)], a sesquiterpenic hydrocarbon obtained by catalytic dehydrogenation of α-, β- and γ-himachalenes, produces a mixture of two compounds: (3,5,5,9-tetramethyl-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5H-benzocyclohepten-2-yl)-ethanone (2, in 69% yield), with a conserved reactant backbone, and 3, with a different skeleton, in 21% yield. The crystal structure of 3 reveals it to be 1-(8-ethyl-8-hydroperoxy-3,5,5-trimethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalen-2-yl)-ethanone. In this compound O-H…O bonds form dimers. These hydrogen-bonds, in conjunction with weaker C-H…O interactions, form a more extended supramolecular arrangement in the crystal.
