Synthesis of 10- to 29-membered oxaza-macrocyclesviaintramolecular O–H/N–H insertion reactions catalyzed by a rhodium(ii) acetate dimer is demonstrated. Synthesis of symmetric macrocyclesviahead to tail dimerization reactions is also delineated.
