This work represents the first example of a gold-catalyzed
formation
of 1,3-thiazine/1,3-thiazinane by means of a catalytic approach and
further uncommon isolation of the two tautomers. The developed protocol
gives rise to a broad scope of 1,3-thiazine derivatives with excellent
yields in short reaction times. Interestingly, different isomers could
be obtained depending on the state of the compound, and in the crystal
state the 1,3-thiazinane isomer is obtained, while in solution the
1,3-thiazine is the unique isomer. This work represents an interesting
approach for the synthesis of potential biologically relevant molecules
and a crucial precedent in tautomerism isolation and characterization.

Abstract
A Pd(ii)/Cu(ii) catalysed domino synthesis of tricyanovinylindoles has been achieved using DMSO as a one-carbon synthon. The reaction proceeds via the construction of 2-aryl-3-formyl indole followed by sequential addition of malononitrile and a CN resulting in two C-C, one C[double bond, length as m-dash]C and one C-N bonds in the final product. Furthermore, post-synthetic modification results in the unprecedented formation of 4-cyano-3-indolylmaleimides. Photophysical studies of selected compounds show emission in the visible range.

Abstract
Various 2-[5-(aryl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]quinazolin-4(3H)-ones have been synthesized from the reaction of diaminoglyoxime-based nitrones with methyl 2-aminobenzoate or 2-aminobenzamide in the presence of acetic acid at 100 °C. The reaction was extended as a one-pot three-component approach starting from diaminoglyoxime, aldehyde and methyl 2-aminobenzoate.

Abstract
A new simple and efficient method to construct ring-fused 4-alkyl-4H-3,1-benzothiazine-2-thione derivatives has been developed from carbon disulfide and (E)-3-(2-aminoaryl)acrylates or (E)-3-(2-aminoaryl)acrylonitriles under mild conditions, without the need for a metal catalyst. The newly developed method tolerates a wide range of substrates in moderate to excellent yields. Moreover, this method is advantageous over previous ones for the easy synthesis of reactants.
