Abstract
We have gold-catalyzed C-N cross-couplings of aryl iodides with aliphatic nitriles. Although nitriles are usually challenging nitrogen cross-coupling partners, they could be activated by base-mediated deprotonation and isomerization. The method utilizes widely available substrates in moderate to good yields to provide various N-aryl compounds. In addition, a similar strategy could be extended to the cross-couplings of aryl iodides with silver cyanate. The protocol features high humidity/air tolerance and works inter- and intramolecularly.

Abstract
A one-pot three-component reaction of several 2-ketoaldehydes, secondary amines and terminal alkynes to access 3-aminofurans proceeded well in [bmim][PF6] using a simple and cheap CuI catalyst. The resultant 3-aminofuran products were easily isolated using diethyl ether and the CuI/[bmim][PF6] system was reused six times with a slight decrease in the activity.

Abstract
Chemoselective copper-catalyzed synthesis of diverse N-arylindole-3-carboxamides, β-oxo amides and N-arylindole-3-carbonitriles from readily accessible indole-3-carbonitriles, α-cyano ketones and diaryliodonium salts has been developed. Diverse N-arylindole-3-carboxamides and β-oxo amides were successfully achieved in high yields under copper-catalyzed neutral reaction conditions, and the addition of an organic base (DIPEA) resulted in a completely different selectivity pattern to produce N-arylindole-3-carbonitriles. Moreover, the importance of the developed methodology was realized by the synthesis of indoloquinolones and N-((1H-indol-3-yl)methyl)aniline and by a single-step gram-scale synthesis of the naturally occurring cephalandole A analogue.

Abstract
Type or The emergence of resistance to antibiotic has developed a complicated situation in the treatment of bacterial infections. Considering the antimicrobial resistance phenomenon as one of the greatest challenge of medicinal chemists for search of better anti-bacterial agents, which have potential narrow spectrum activity with low development of resistance potential and low toxicity to host. Cross-linking of peptidoglycan is a key step catalyze by Penicillin binding protein (PBP) to maintain integrity of cell wall in bacterial cell. However, these Penicillin binding protein (PBP) has developed resistance in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) due to acquisition of additional PBP2a. Various Quinazolinone analogues are reported in literature as potential anti-bacterial agents against MRSA. In present study new quinazolinone analogues has been designed, guided by molecular docking, In-silico and MM-GBSA study. Newly designed molecules have been synthesized by medicinal chemistry route and their characterization was done by using IR, NMR, & HR-MS techniques. Biological evaluation of synthesized compounds has been done on wild type Gram-negative (Escherichia coli), Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus) and resistant MRSA bacterial strains using Streptomycin, Kanamycin and Linezolid as standard drugs respectively. The in vitro evaluation results have shown that compound 5f is active with MIC value 15.625 μg/mL against S. aureus and with MIC value 31.25 μg/mL against MRSA.

Abstract
A novel and convenient palladium-catalyzed direct oxidative amidation of quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones with acetonitrile was developed to synthesize 3-amidated quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones. A series of 3-acetamino quinoxalin-2(1H)-one derivatives were constructed with good to excellent yields. This methodology provided a practical approach to various 3-acetamino quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones from the readily available starting material acetonitrile.
