Abstract
In this research, we describe the synthesis of silica-coated nano-Fe3O4 particles, which were successfully modified by diaminopyrimidine, and their physicochemical properties were characterized using FT-IR, XRD, TEM, FE-SEM, EDX, EDX-mapping, and TGA. The catalytic activity of this novel nano-catalyst was evaluated by three-component reactions for the preparation of pyranothiazolopyrimidines and 4H-pyrans under solvent-free conditions. Recyclability of the catalyst up to six consecutive rounds, atom economy, high yield and purity of desired products, and easy work-up method are some of the exciting features of this system that make it more favorable from a green chemistry point of view.

Abstract
Abstract
Multicomponent (MCRs) reactions are classified as one-pot reaction where more than two starting materials are employed to form a single product that contains the building blocks of the starting components. MCRs are considered a convenient approach in synthetic chemistry and have many advantages over the traditional one or two-component reaction, by reducing the number of sequential multiple steps required and often producing better yields. This chapter dissects the use of isocyanide-based MCRs and the elegant chemistry that they offer to build useful scaffolds in the chemical synthetic field. In addition MCRs are considered as one of the recognisable options for increasing “greenness” during the synthesis of pharmaceutical and industrial products.

Abstract
AbstractActivated acetylenic substrates such as acetylenic esters and alkyl propiolates are very important in organic synthesis. Due to their electron deficiency, these compounds are widely used in combinatorial and multicomponent reactions, enabling the synthesis of a large variety of novel compounds. In addition, these substrates are powerful Michael acceptors and convenient dienophiles and dipolarophiles in Diels–Alder and 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions. The addition of different nucleophiles, primarily phosphorus, nitrogen or sulfur, to the triple bonds of these substrates produces key intermediates, such as Tebby and Huisgen zwitterions, which can lead to designing pathways toward the generation of spirocyclic and polycyclic compounds. Abstract
A simple and efficient three-component reaction is reported between 2,3-dihydro-7-hydroxythiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidin-5-one, dimedone and aromatic aldehydes for synthesis of biologically important novel heterocycles containing thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidine and chromene as biologically active moieties. The SO3H-functionalised halogen-free ionic liquid [MIM(CH2)4SO3H][HSO4-] is found to be an environmentally benign catalyst for this reaction without using any solvent. This SO3H-functionalised ionic liquid could be recovered and used at least four times without considerable reduction in activity. Good functional group tolerance, broad scope of usable substrates and good to excellent yields of products are the other prominent features of the present synthetic protocol.
