Abstract
DMA and other dialkylamides were successfully used as synthons for the C-H functionalization of quinones. This novel amidoalkylation reaction works with a variety of substituted quinones and dialkyl/alkyl amides, such as DMF, NMP and NMA, and the corresponding products were obtained in moderate to good yields. The amidoalkylation of quinones is demonstrated for the first time. A suitable mechanism and the synthetic utility of these compounds are demonstrated. The molecular docking of compound 5 with an Alzheimer's disease (AD) associated AChE target site was studied.

Abstract
Palladium-catalyzed cyanation of aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborate using acetonitrile as a non-metallic cyanide source was achieved in the presence of Ag2O under ambient air, eliminating the involvement of highly toxic CuCN used in the traditional Sandmeyer reaction, in which the CN group comes from metallic cyanides.

Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C8H3BrN2, consists of two molecules. The crystal structure features undulating molecular sheets with the molecules linked by C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds with one N atom acting as a bifurcated acceptor. N⋯Br interactions also occur [N⋯Br = 2.991 (3) and 3.099 (3) Å]. Interlayer association is accomplished by offset face-to-face arene interactions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.768 (4) Å].
